Concerning red [20 Jul 2008|03:51pm] madradhair [fishnetknickers] Sorry I have been asking so many questions recently but I have one more.  Okay, I recently had a bleach job and of course I ended up dispising it, so please don't barate me about doing it at home, I knew the risks and I did it.  So I decided I want to dye it red.  My only worry is that the red will come out too bright.  I am working later on this week and I cannot have anything too bright because it would be considered to bright and unprofessional.  Has anyone had experience dying their hair red after going blonde and it not coming out too bright? And any brand suggestions? I was wondering if a red-brown would work but I know that you are suppose to put a filler of red before doing brown and I wasn't sure if it was the same with red brown. Sorry for all of my banter and all of my issues, but any help would be much appricieated. comment

I dont have a picture of it yet,but I'll post it on here as soon as I do. It's the exact same star that Avril Lavigne has on her wrist. But I got it for a sign of me and my friend Amanda's friendship (she has the exact same one on her wrist too). I also plan on getting another tattoo in about a month or so... I'm getting "Rage and Love" written on my forearm. Simply because Rage is the angry,depressed,negative side of me... and Love is the happy,more positive side of me. It's also part of my absolute favourite song in the world "Jesus Of Suburba" by Green Day. I can relate to that song 100% and it means a lot to me. Where to section. [20 Jul 2008|07:59pm] madradhair [cherrymilkdrops] Where in my hair would I need to section off so I could do black in the same place where this girl has? (We both have the same hairstyle also.) I think I'd just need to dye all the underneath of my hair black, and just a bit more on one side than the other, to make black show in that side more. But it also looks like the black goes higher up. Any ideas where I should section? Should I just stick to a straight line underneath my hair or should I go in an upwards slant towards the front of one side of my hair? read 2 / comment

Need a dye job [20 Jul 2008|11:46am] madradhair [tuxxedomask] [ mood | bored ] I've been growing my hair out for a year now, and orignally I simply dyed it dark brown and kept letting it grow. Unfortunately the rinse I used for the dark brown came out black one time, and well . . . now I'm stuck with roots down to my temples, and a faded dark brown-black mess everywhere else. I'm growing my hair out now, so i'm not cutting it yet. I'm planning on getting it restyled before the school year starts, as there is no sense right now because I cannot afford those expensive "sun protecting" shampoos and I like to swim a lot . So, I've decided to dye over the dark brown. BUT I don't know what colour to dye my hair, so I'm asking for your unbiased advice (I've asked people I know and every suggestion I make they shoot it down, some are even telling me to give up on growing my hair because it doesn't suit me - well, one person did, my mother) There is one catch, if you suggest a colour, I need a recommendation of what brand to use - this brand needs to rinse out in a little less than a month and a half (maybe a little bit more, so long as it rinses out almost completely). edgy but pretty haircuts [20 Jul 2008|10:58am] madradhair [earthquakewoah] my hair is currently a totally grown out (just below the shoulders), center part no bangs, faded brown by the stupid miami sun mess. i need pictures of some edgy haircuts that are still very feminine, preferably working with bangs or layers because i don't want to take any length off the bottom if i can; it's in good condition. i'm dyeing it a rich dark brown too so anything that will compliment this would be great. i have naturally wavy hair that i straighten (i have a very good flat iron and i'm prepared to put time into styling every morning). tia <3 comment

Cleanliness/safety [20 Jul 2008|06:07pm] tattooed [dibeartach] It never occurred to me, but when I got my second tattoo a friend was freaking out about hepatitis B as she had heard that you can get it from unclean tattoo places. What exactly are the safety/health risks with tattooing? It's got to be pretty slim. Does anyone know any shops notorious for unclean practices? It just got me to thinking as I'm getting inked again soon and don't want to get into anything dirty. Also, for Sydney folks, which do you vote for - Wicked Ink or Stingers? read 6 / comment
