AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHGFGKLBGFDSDA [26 Jul 2008|11:38pm] [ mood | shocked ] I'm still watching X-files. I'm up to Season 8. So I'm watching 'Medusa', and there's this old angry train tunnel guy. He looks familiar. I know he does. Is it someone who has appeared in a previous episode and is now playing someone else? I don't think so. Maybe he's from another TV show I watch -- I run through the usual suspects; Law and Order? No. Crossing Jordan?? No. The Closer??? Nope nope. And then, it hits me. While I'm puzzling over it, the phrase, "Agent Scully...is a Medical Doctor" flies by me-- O-OH FUCK.... IS DOCTOR KELSO. From Scrubs. Warblflasgarglflarble. I love moments like these. I know actors work on like a bazillion things 'cause that's what they get paid to do, but it doesn't make moments like these any less amazing. The little things you notice... [23 Jul 2008|02:12pm] [ mood | exhausted ] I AM SO STOKED FOR 12:01 FRIDAY MORNING. I HAS A TICKET. I don't care I have a Noon class the next day I HAS A TICKET. THIS MOVE HAD BETTER BE GOOD. SEASON 9 LEFT TOO MUCH TO BE DESIRED. DD=< So I went down to Northgate today. There's this girl I've seen a few times on the route I take; Her clothes are ratty and torn, her shoes are falling apart (and sometimes they don't match). Today she pulled a jar from her purse and drank water from it. She doesn't look too much older than I am. But she is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL girl I have ever seen, I swear. She has natural, long fiery red hair (You've got nothing, move over, Kelsey), as well as she is tall and lethe, with fair skin. I can't help but look at her and think, 'Why the hell aren't you on the cover of some fashion magazine, or walking down a runway??' It kind of makes me feel bad for having nice things; even though there are those who are far more spoilt than me (ala this topic --> http://forum.deviantart.com/community/complaints/1137667/). Also, I was only there for no more than 15 minutes for the announcements before I left to burn meat, BUT THERE I AM none the less. Hahawhut. post comment

It feels even better to be praised by the instructor for fucking around in class and doing my own thing. Mr. Fleischer caught me in the last 10 minutes of class packed up and ready to leave, except for my regular drawing pad, which I was sketching pictures of my fan characters. I tell him I'm not going tie lie; I'm just goofing off. AND HE GIVES ME POSITIVE FEEDBACK ON WHAT I'M DRAWING YESSSS. He tells me I have very sharp and smooth linework, and that the shapes are nice, as well as I have good practice in anatomy. I tend to be too very hard on myself, so when someone of a higher position commends me, it's very nice to hear. =) Posting sum pics tomorrow of the beach, the beach, and some lulz. 7 comments|post comment

PAPPARA FUNI-FUNI, O-IMO [18 Jul 2008|10:54pm] [ mood | complacent ] I boiled potatoes. For a potato salad. AND THEY MELTED (only a couple, actually). DD= I'm usually damn good at cooking. WTF IS THIS SHIT. But then again, I've never made a potato salad before. I hope it's not like gross. x_x So short story shortened, my boot covers suck and I couldn't find my dremel. No Mashiro this weekend, so I'm pulling School Yumi from the closet. Instead of SRS COSPLEH, I'm just going to enjoy some BBQ with my friends, and then go swimming. In cosplay. Yes, I totally just went there. I bought a pair of black and white swimtrunks, and I was going to sew an orange sarong, until I realised I have a pile of lilac jewel fabric that I'll never ever ever use otherwise. I bought it because it was pretty. And now, it shall make me beautiful. I also made some cards with the website URL to my cosplay site; I'll probably give them to people I've been talking to but we never exchange numbers or emails. Haha. Haaaha. So, I'mma season sum burger meats, clean my kitchen then freshen Yumi up. GOD he needs it. Early rise for me, because I have to cook baked beans and put my beautiful face on. Also, in regards to the new BLEACH chapter; Shuuhei and Iduru need to team up against the arrantits squad. If they do, Shuuhei is apparently seriously sexy or something like that, so he can distract them. Then Iduru can whack 'em on the boobs, and they'll be grounded in NO TIME. SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN TO ME. And a new chapter begins... [14 Jul 2008|01:48pm] [ mood | accomplished ] So the Summer Quarter begins today; I have a class tonight, from 5-9. I'm a little nervous, because now I live further from the school, and I admit I'm frightened of walking that distance in Downtown at night. However, the Science Center isn't THAT far from AiS, so I'll probably take the Monorail home, tonight. I have no problem actually walking TO my class. My class had an instructor status of 'TBA' for several weeks; Only TODAY do we finally get a name. A J. Fleischer? Why does that sound familiar? The class is called 'rendering', but I wonder if it's an instructor I had in animation?? I'm glad it wasn't Adrianne, because I MEGALOATHE that woman. I swear to god if I would have walked into that classroom, I would have packed my things up, left, and see if there wasn't a CG class I could sneak my way into and treat myself to JUST for even having to LOOK at that bitch again. Last night I got half my Mashiro bodysuit done; it was a pile of cut fabric peices when I started that evening. I have the main body done with the zipper installed, and one sleeve attached. I have yet to attach the other sleeve, and sew up the legs. When I tried it on, I looked like a white, spandex-ey Advent Children Cloud. It was kind of hilarious, I'll try and get pictures before I finish it on Tuesday. Tonight I'll be styling the wig and starting the goggles. The wig I originally got for Mashiro REFUSES to do anything I want it to, no matter what I try. I'm just so lucky that the local costume shop, Champion, sells Sepia wigs. I had to choose between a Cindy and Eve wig; The Cindy wig was a bit too long, and I have problems with shortening wigs that are already in a bob style. The Eve wig is on the Shorter side, but it's so fucking poofy -- I bought the Eve. With the eve, I can do hot water styling and razor cutting to reduce poof, and it will be fine (I am small in stature, after all). It also has better color than that other wig I have, and will make me look like less of a carrot. The only thing I am worried about is the sword and the mask. Lincoln Park has a 'no weapons' policy, so we can't alter katana like we wanted. I also have no time to alter plastic katana the way I usually do. Instead, I may go down to Northgate tomorrow morning and buy plastic katana sand the blade, fill the crevices with some spackling I bought, paint the blade and do the rest like I usually do -- except for the sheath, which I will sand and paint white. I usually make an entirely new sheath (because I alter the blade), but I do not have the time. I will make a new one for Kumoricon or Sakuracon. But the mask, the wig head I would be using for making the mask, I am using for styling the wig. If I finish styling early, maybe I can switch the wig to a new head and have time for the mask. I think I showed that fanbrat on DA from a couple days back with magical WALL OF TEXT powers. Because after that, she removed her fave and on another bratty comment she left me she replied, 'Oh. Okay.' Haven't heard from her since. Also, she's apparently 20?? LOL I DON'T HABEEB IT. So I'm gonna go upstairs and eat something before I have to go to class, and get started on that wig a little, maybe do dishes. CIAO, LJ. post comment

And another update is written... [11 Jul 2008|03:25pm] [ mood | drained ] So I've turned in the keys to my old apartment, which is completely cleaned up and out. WOOOO. But now there's half unpacked boxes EVERYWHERE. And I have no idea about how to set up my new apartment (mostly the TV because the cable hook up is in such a ridiculously retarded place it's actually hilarious; There is potentially another cable hook up area, but I have to remove the face plate first to be sure). Also, cable? NOT FOR ANOTHER WEEK. WHEN MY CLASSES START AND MOM MADE THE APPOINTMENT W/O ASKING ABOUT MY CLASS SCHEDULE FIRST. This could set me back for Cable 2 weeks. FDFGMFDFDSDGHKJJKKLL. I'm marathoning X-files as I attempt and fail at unpacking things. TOTALLY STOKED FOR THE NEW MOVIE, GAIZ. I've always loved the X-files since I was a kid, and I hope this movie finally wraps the series up nice and neat, as the series did a very shitty job at that. SEASON NINE DID NOT APPEASE ME. Suddenly, BOXES. EVERYWHERE. [08 Jul 2008|11:27pm] [ mood | bouncy ] Seriously, I could turn my new kitchen into a box fort. I'm on the community desktop right now, because I tried stealing an interweb or two and my fission was mailed. FUUUHHHH. I thought I'd play sum pokemans to keep myself amused, until I realized I didn't know where to get the HM03 Surf. I couldn't steal the internet as mentioned above, so I came downstairs to look it up; according to the game guide, I should have already gotten it. I panicked, was it a glitch in my game? Do I know anyone who plays Pokemon Pearl as well who could possibly trade it to me?? It ONLY THEN occurs to look through my TM's and HM's pocket, AND THERE IT IS, already there. DEERRRP. =B Last night the moth from hell visited and attacked. MF'er was about as big, if not bigger than a US Dollar Coin. I chased it from my living room, into the bathroom, and then tried to hairspray it to death but it flew into the bedroom, where I locked it in. Thankfully, I was sleeping in the living room that night. Though when I told my dad in the morning, we looked all over for the moth and -GASP- it was gone. DD= The sliding door was shut tight, so it couldn't have flown out, and there was no other way it could get out. I'll upload pics of the new place when I can get a secure connection on my laptop, I have so many closets, I don't know what to do with them. Remember when I said I would have three closets? Yeahno. Technically, I HAVE FIVE. So far I've labeled them as 'Clothes', 'Cosplay', 'Cleaning Closet', 'Wigs and Props' and 'lolidunno'. My mouth feels so gross. I packed everything but a toothbrush, it seems, and by the time I come to this epiphany, anywhere I can buy a good one is closed; I'll just have to go buy one tomorrow. Chewing gum then rinsing will have to do for tonight. And now, back to Box Fort Krispy and playing Pokemans. Is there an item out there that stops Pokemon from evolving? I LIKE MY CROAGUNK (sp?) RAAAEEEEEGGG [06 Jul 2008|04:45am] [ mood | groggy ] Because the FIRST thing I want to wake up to at BUMBLEFUCK in the morning is my motherfucking smoke alarm, which is situated right fucking over my bed, CHIRPING at me. And it's not a -chirp- noise, as much as it is a shrill eardrum shattering chirping sound that goes off every fucking 5 minutes. It appears to be caused by the wiring, as it stopped when I untwisted the wires, shoved them back in the ceiling and twisted the cap back on. The color of someday... [29 Jun 2008|05:01pm] [ mood | hot ] EW IT IS HOTHOT HOT. I have to move next week, too. Packing time, much? That aside, thinking about the next Gasukan. The curves in my Mashiro gloves and boots were leaving me at a standstill, but I've come to a solution; get more orange cotton, make a 'top lining', sew the cotton on the vinyl around the curves, flip, press, topstitch, WIN. That easy. I'll get right started on it, as Gasukan is soon. Also, I may have a 2nd costume for Gasukan, and LOL IT'S NOT NIA. Looking through Cosmode 22 (Big Chris made it in the International Snap! Congrats!!), I saw they had a MERMAID TAIL PATTERN. And I have an unfinished Luchia (Mermaid Melody, Pink Pearl Princess) wig, and Pacific Blue contacts. As well as I'll be wearing natural color makeup for Mashiro. And then I added everything up and decided I'm going to finish my Luchia Cosplay to an extent (for the time being, I'm re-making the idol form for 2009) And since this Gasukan is a Beach shoot, wow. Talk about PERFECT. But it all rests on Spandexworld, again. =\ Local fabric stores have NOTHING, and I have my fabric order on 3rd day shipping. Not to mention, I was STUCK on what kind of spandex to use, so I ended up ordering two kinds; Hot Pink Wet-Look and Hot Pink Reptile Skin Holographic Pattern, but it all falls on what looks best with the two PVC fabrics that can be used for the mermaid curls. LOLWTF SUBCONCIOUS. [26 Jun 2008|02:49pm] [ mood | amused ] So I had this dream last night; There was this convention, and I was friends with a rather popular cosplayer who had a twin sister. Her sister had something else to do that weekend, and because of that, this cosplayer had invited me over to keep her company because she didn't want to go without her sister; her cosplay would feel 'incomplete', otherwise. So we're chilling out on her couch, playing games with the TV going, when her mom comes in and OH. MY. GOD. COMPLETE FUCKING STAGE MOM. She COMPLETELY freaks out over the fact that I have the same body type as her daughters, and that I can take her other daughter's place in the cosplay. The daughter that I'm friends with insists it's okay, we're having a great time anyways. But her mom grabs us both by the arm and DEMANDS we pack up to go to the convention center, we can change in the bathrooms. So we get in the car, and she's like, "Do you have the armor peices?", and the daughter I'm friends with is like, "OHSHI--", and Mommy Dearest demands that I go retrieve the costume armor from...the oatmeal shed?? LOLIDUNNO. So then I run out back to the oatmeal shed, and see that the neighbor is having trouble with this rabbit eating his vegetable garden, and I go to lend him a hand. We chase the rabbit around with sticks, and I finally nail the bastard down between it's head and body with a 'Y' shaped stick I was chasing it with. Mommy Dearest comes out from the front and starts yelling at me because I'm wasting time with the neighbor, and her daughter's convention will be ruined -- AND THEN I WAKE UP. I won't need to wear this wig until Gasukan 8.0 or Kumoricon, really. Also, please excuse my lack of cosmetics and VERY VERY DARK EYEBROWS. I didn't feel like smothering my face in makeup. Entry 6/212008 [21 Jun 2008|06:35pm] [ mood | chipper ] I got my wigs and shoes in today. The shoes are SO-OOO-OOOOO cute. 2 Rocking horse heels and 1 cork heel. I love them, they are adorable~ Comfy, too. My Gijinka wig came in as well. I'm hacking it into a bob, and then using the spare fibers to make buns. Should be easy enough. Shame to put it off until Kumori, though. But it would have been a bitch to wear to Expo. The other wig, though...right style, right length...wrong color?? The wig I bought was described dark purple with blue fibers...but this wig is purple with black fibers. DD= WOOOEEEE. IS ME. Oh well, if the Seller doesn't want to exchange or replace the item, since the fibers are Kanekalon (just batshittingly resistant to heat), It should be easy to tint blue with some black. Also, since A majority of us Western Washingtoners are stuck in Seattle instead of going to Expo, we've decided to have a Barbecue Beach Party that weekend, even if it rains! =D Just not sure which beach, yet. xDD I'm currently Planning a Menu, and it's looking like; -Ribs -Hamburgers -Potato Salad (plain) -Baked Beans -Garden Salad -Chips (Ruffles, Doritos, Chex Mix) -Veggie Plate People can bring other foods if they like, a potluck is welcome. I'D LIKE TO KEEP THIS ALCOHOL FREE, PLZ. If anyone wants to advertise this party on another message-board, PLEASE MAKE THIS CLEAR. Also, this is a non-cosplay event as well. You can dress up if you really want, but you might end up feeling a little bit silly. ^__^;; Nobody else has any plans to dress up (Though If people are insistent on cosplay, I may pull together Nia's swimsuit?? Week of the 7th: MOVING. ..... ..... ..... LOL HOW DO I PACK 4 MOVING?? But seriously. If I spend all of my time finishing shit for Expo and then half a week in Cali, and then come back the day before I need to be shoving boxes into a moving van.... WHEN the FUCK am I gonna find time to pack all them boxes?? Iiittt''sss just the sad truth. REAL LIFE b4 CONVENTIONS, yanno. Fine with me. I have Kumoricon and every Gasukan until next Sakuracon. Because I love Cosplay and talking about it <3 [15 Jun 2008|07:55pm] [ mood | content ] So I have this old crappy Sailor Moon costume that I bought off of ebay before I could sew a costume properly (You know, THIS ONE that I ran around in for the lulz when I got my silver serenity wig from cosplaywig.) Some of you already know this, though. Well, my aunt's nurse's daughter(9) is getting into anime, and wants anime stuff. Even though the costume isn't great itself, I'm letting her have it for free. I have no use for it, anymore, I won't be wearing it again. I'm also giving her a list of good sites and ebay sellers to buy accesories from, since mine are all gunked up and kinda gross (especially my Tiara, which was always worn with spirit gum) ANYWHO, hope she enjoys it and I'll see her running around in it someday at a Local Convention. D'AWW. Going to Northgate tomorrow, I'm going to see if I can't nab myself a bodysuit at Costume and Display that I can use for Mashiro as a pattern. The only bodysuit pattern I could find was Green Pepper, and I'll be fucked if I have to sew all those pattern pieces JUST FOR THE MAIN PATTERN. DD= Taking apart an existing catsuit and using it as a pattern makes a lot more sense to me. They also have some pretty sweet fabrics and cosmetics, and nicer wigs among some crappy ones. It'll be a fun little daytrip. Pacific Fabrics is right down the street, so I suppose I'll dawdle around there for a little bit, and then maybe get lunch at Taco delMar?? Sure. Why not. Starting off on a good note... [14 Jun 2008|07:54pm] [ mood | accomplished ] I have a new place to live~ I just got a sweet, sweet deal on a 1 bedroom apartment. 7th floor, It has like, three gigantic closets. And two balconies. 1 block away from Washington State Trade and Covention Center (where Sakuracon is held). I'm set to move in after Anime Expo weekend -- which works, because those are the last week(s) of my break -- I don't have to be in a moving panic like the last time. It would figure, though, that I go over to Alex's house to sew -- and I forget my pincusion?? Hot damn. I'm coming back on monday, so it's not a big deal. I'm a fast seamstress, really. I just procrastinate liek WOAH. Also, fave new insult is 'screwshit'. ILU soul eater. It was probably just creativity on the subber's part, though. xD Excalibur is by far my favorite shinigami's weapon-in-training. |D;; I didn't get to make vacuum-formed lenses for my Mashiro costume; I'm trying to think of alternatives. I'm mainly looking right now at the bottoms of plastic containers and such -- I'm sure to find something. Even if I just make the lens placements and just place a flat blue plastic film underneath the lenses. I may do just that. Alex gave me his small Katana -- it's just the accurate length for someone my stature. He's dulling the blade on it it as I type. I'm going to use it for my Mashiro at photoshoots. Hope to have cosplay progress pics up by friday =D post comment
