	Recruit a friend 6 Oct 2008 7:46pm Quest giver: ben_ten in worldofwarcraft Description Hey guys and gals quick question, I jumped on the recruit a friend bandwagon the first week it was announced and I was wondering if anyone of you have seen when they will stop this accommodation if ever? I used to actually get 6 new lvl 60s (2 of which were used as tools to help lvl and will never be played again) and I have my new resto shaman main to thank for it. I was wondering if this will ever end due to the fact that my rl friends who play horde are always bugging me to lvl and play with them. After doing that many chars the idea of lvling again especially without knowing the quests that well and a main on a third account to actually do them for me sounds horrid atm. If things go poorly with my shaman or the availability of good pve/pvp guilds in wotlk I might take them up on the offer of lvling horde and would love to use ab(use) recruit a friend doing so. Obviously I won't know if I wat to till prob this coming summer and that is why I am curious Along with that, how do the more knowledgeable resto shamans feel about the resto tree and do you have any pve raid healing specs in mind and any pvp healing specs in mind? Also which glyphs do you think you're gonna go with any why? Lots of questions for the only internet people I trust lol HF and TYVM

If you have a toon on Moon Guard horde side, you are welcome to come. My guildies asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday. I said BARE NAKED BOXING! Basically you duel in the underwear that your character has on with no gear on. Meaning you take everything off: gear, trinkets, rings, necklaces and etc and use your FIST OF FURY! No pets, no minions, no cheating, USE FIST OF MIGHTY FURY! There will be beer and treats. It will start at 6:30 PM Server time on Thursday 9th. In the piece of blank land next the Org Gates where brewfest was held. Unless the faire is there. It will be at the Gates of Org. 	Looking for an Addon... 6 Oct 2008 10:42am Quest giver: cyanrose in worldofwarcraft Description While doing some cleaning of my addons (yay 60 MiB to 25 MiB) I noticed a few things. Seems one of the Addons I have (possibly Autobar since it's kinda old) is having a memory leak. So in the process of cleaning a few things up I was curious what addons you all use. One particular one is where all your buffs (and I think debuffs) are instead bars on the side of the screen (as highlighted in the SK Gaming kill of KJ) so your buff durations are shown via a slowly draining bar which can be moved of course. Hoping to find that, and maybe a replacement to Autobar if possible. If you got some suggestions, I run a Warlock/Rogue on my account with the possibility of Death Knight after the release. Thanks for any help, love to see people's UIs and get some ideas for addons y'all use. (( ANd hoping to find that buff/debuff addon with the bars...))

	Dual Boxing Shammys 6 Oct 2008 8:30am Quest giver: foobish in worldofwarcraft Description I decided to take advantage of the RAF promotion and started dual boxing shammys. I've got them up to level 30 fairly quickly. They are currently a straight elemental build with the exception of five points spent in Ancestral Knowledge for the larger mana pool. I'd like for them to stay elemental, at least until I get to 70 (or 80). I'm looking for some good leveling builds (maybe some that target dual boxing shammys). Are there any good resources out there like www.shadowpanther.net for shammys? Also, any other advice that you can give, I'm all ears. I've only played a rogue before, so I frankly have no clue what I am doing. I also seem to have a problem with being OOM after two or three fights. What is the common spell rotation for elemental shaman, and what totems should I put down in certain situations? If it is just one guy that I am fighting, I'll usually throw down Searing Totem, and hit them with a couple of shocks while meleeing. Being OOM could be attributed to bad gear as I am leveling so fast, I doubt the drops I am getting can keep up. Also, on the recruit a friend promotion: once I get these shammys to level 60, I will have 30 levels that I can grant to another toon on my main account, correct? Is it possible to level that toon to 20, and then grant the 30 levels? That way I can skip levels 21-50? I'm not quite sure how that works? Anyone messed around with it? Leveling to 0 to 20 is a lot easier than leveling 30 to 50 ;) Thanks in advance, Foobs

I was checking my server forums today and saw this hunter getting owned,when someone found the craigslist ad he bought his hunter from. Edited to add: Me and my husband are looking for a guild, horde, thrall. We'd like it to be adult only, or at least adult-run. 	netherwing quest issues 4 Oct 2008 4:01am Quest giver: fayth in worldofwarcraft Description I just bought my Artisan flying skill tonight after saving up for what seemed like an eternity so I could start on the Netherwing quests. I was so excited (and yet, so very sad to be down to a mere 30g after the purchase) until I actually started doing the quests. :\ Has anyone else had problems with the transporters for "The Not-So-Friendly Skies" quest? Every single mob I attacked I could get down to about 70% before it started evading everything and regenerated its health, all the while hitting me for insane amounts of damage with a ranged attack. I put in a GM ticket and got a very fast reply from a very nice GM (who even rezzed me after my last death) who reset all the transporters along the skyway. It worked for about three mobs, but then they all started evading again. Is this a common occurrence? Should I just call it a wash with that particular quest and only do the other ones to get the reputation?

	"What'd you do tonight ingame, Rufus?" 3 Oct 2008 10:13pm Quest giver: rufushonkeriv in worldofwarcraft Description In my Warrior's backstory, he lived in Tarren Mill, Hillsbrad and as a teenager he was visiting his Aunt and Uncle in Lakeshire, Redridge when the Undead Plague hit. It occurred to me the other day that I'd never taken him home, so I sent him up to Tarren Mill (It's a Horde town now, for anyone unfamiliar with it) where I decided "nice play style be dammed" and went all bad guy, killing quest givers, etc. A few 70 Horde arrived and dispatched me - 70 Warrior vs 70 Rogue and Mage... not a chance. I let them do me in a few times - only fair considering I'd been such a bad Alliance guy. :D I went back with my Battlegrounds Destruction Warlock for more fun, but left the questgivers alone. I had a great deal of fun creaming the lowbie Horde who were foolish/bored enough to tag themselves. Unfortunately my Nemesis Rogue and Mage did not return. sigh I ran myself into the middle of town before I logged for the night and let everyone nuke me down in the town square. I'm actually enjoying the feeling that they're probably still there, dancing over my body and wondering when I'll pop up again. :D

Y'all might've recalled my post from a few days ago, regarding Brewfest, and people always winning the roll for the Kodo mount and then stating that they weren't sure why they rolled, as they didn't really want it. Well, most of my guild pitched in tonight to help me get it. Fifteen summons later, and we were down to two left. Out of frustration, and to entertain myself, I put in a ticket to a GM as a sort of joke. What happened? ( ??? ) Anyone ever had an eerie coincidence like that? And how did your brewfest end up going? :]

I posted this suggestion on the general forums ( http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=10532274335&sid=2000 ) in regards to making skill level 225 mount speed 100%... just because northrend is so damn huge, and in MANY cases there, a flight path + ground 100% mount ends up being faster to reach a destination... however, there's a distinct lack of replies on the post! So I'm poking you people here to keep it bumped :P at least until some blue responds!

So, everything's back to normal now, thankfully. I got control of my account just a few hours after it happened, then I contacted the GMs about it on Sunday, but apparently they forgot to tell me I had to submit a transfer dispute form so they could take action. I did that just yesterday, and everything got restored this morning, including gems on my druid's equipment and all.

One thing I found is that whoever got my account, paid the transfers with their own money. Kind of a waste of $50 just for maybe 4000 gold, but I'm not really sure about the exchange rates <.<
