I know what you are thinking-wtf did winterlillies just do! Well see I sometimes don't have the time to go check my profile page to see who has friended me, etc. and other times I've returned the favor of the friending but no activity, etc. I do make some public posts, but most of my posts are locked. So how to do you get yourself added you might ask in order to read the good stuff? We must have at least 2 things or more in common-I'd like to be able to share a common interest with someone other than one interest because things can become pretty boring otherwise and one sided, you must update-simple as that no point in friending you if you aren't going to be here and you must leave me a note here with the intrests we have in common. Simple as that.

Now for the rest of you-enjoy the public posts when they are posted. :)

I have a meeting scheduled tomorrow at 4 pm with my course convener about staying for the PhD!! I’m so nervous and excited at the same time because this puts things into motion regarding if I get to stay in September or head home and then come back. I’m hoping it all goes smoothly and I get to stay in September and work on the PhD here. She said it wasn’t too late to apply for entrance in September 2008 on a conditional offer and then once the baby monster is graded and weighed if I pass all requirements they will change it to an unconditional offer. The email sounded hopeful and encouraging so maybe if I am an American who pays three times the amount in tuition that ought to be a plus for the department-they get an extra chunk of change with me staying here for the next 3 years.

I’m so nervous and it isn’t 4 pm on the 27th of June yet!

I learned while I was moving that NBC's Tim Russert died today. :sniff sniff: He was one of my fave political commentators and he's the reason I watched Meet the Press every Sunday morning when I was in the US. He's also the reason I looked forward to election coverage because he always did a great job.

The political world lost a great one. You will be very muched missed Tim.
