A's, Armistad Maupin Fangirls

I'm monitoring the division playoff game while I'm getting my morning paper and coffee fix at Dana Street. The A's got one run off of a bases loaded situation in the second. Still pissed about yesterday's debacle in Miami. The Giants didn't even bother playing until the bottom of the ninth.

Oh shit, Hudson left the A's game due to an injured back... that's not good.

Yesterday was Fray Day 7 up in the City. We had a full house, due to the publicity in the Chronicle, and that Armistad Maupin was one of the featured storytellers.

Unfortunately, as soon as Maupin finished his stories, half the audience left.

So they missed Eric Rice's story about frozen waffles and the last moment of consciousness [ not conciseness, thanks [info]bibliofile ] before death.

Hey, you'd better be consise before death, 'cause death'll cut you off like nobody's business.
