GAFilk was fun, and it was great to spend time with so many wonderful people. This was the first time I didn't bid in the auction, though, which is sad. Funds are so tight right now due to our monstrous vet bill, plus N. and C. both have new eyeglass and contact prescriptions, and replacing all that stuff wasn't cheap either. So I was really disciplined all weekend, only to lose $158 (wholesale value) worth of TWS cds. bedlamhouse, who hands me a box of CDs to replace some stock we sold at a prior gig. Stupid, stupid, stupid! me, I go and walk out of the restaurant without it, and don't remember it until we are almost home that afternoon. The hotel staff claims not to have seen it, so it is surely gone for good, and now all my frugality was for naught. I just can't stop kicking myself. *sigh*
