*cups hands over ears* I do now declare the sound of lawnmowers to be a product of the devil himself. That groups it in the same category as squeaking styrofoam and Kirk's meowing.
|
Goodbye archerstar and good luck on your trip! I hope you have a blast at Comic Con! However, I don't know what I'll do for 3 weeks without my late night chat buddy. *sobs* I'll miss you terribly! Love, Joelle

Happy birthday to cadesema and belated birthday wishes to astrogirl2 and pocketwitch! (Yes, I kind of suck these days!) *sends happy feelings to all*
|
Thanks to archerstar : Eta: Head over here for some great Heroes trailers. One featuring my near-favorite character of all time. ;)
|
There are maintenance men pounding on the roof right above us...and my cat is sleeping peacefully beside me. Uh...hello? *glares at Kirk jealously* Aren't cats supposed to have a better sense of hearing than humans? Maybe he's getting deaf in his old age...
On the bright side, this might mean the 40-something leaks in my apartment will finally be fixed. I was getting sick of being attacked by falling plaster.

Months of waiting have finally panned out. Friday the 13th finally came up again and the plans for my second tattoo finally came to fruition. Ta da! There's a black cat on my right hip! I'll probably be posting pictures...eventually. Meanwhile... ( Hulk Smash! )On a completely random note, is it wrong that I laughed hysterically through last night's BSG?
|
Someday I'll post something coherent in this journal. For now, I have two newsletters and a movie to finish.
|
Happy Birthday _usakeh_!It's been great getting know you this past year and I hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow. Congrats! :D

Is it sad that Indiana Jones is back in theaters this week....and I couldn't care less. All I really want to do is see Iron Man again. Must wake up early enough to catch the matinee showing tomorrow.
Also, even though Marvel was smart enough to get rid of Eric Bana, I still don't think I want to see The Incredible Hulk. The first movie was traumatizing enough. Giant green superheroes and daddy issues do NOT make a good mix.
*goes back to reading Anne Rice and helping computer recover from The Great Crash of 2008* Vacations aren't all they're made out to be. :(

Hello, flist. It seems my laptop has lost the ability to recharge itself and will have to be sent into the shop for repairs. I'm going to set up my old PC so I can still check e-mail and do my newsletters. *grumble* However, since Giggerotta the slow (I'll be really impressed if you know where the name comes from) tends to leave me violently frustrated, I'm going to try and stay off the nets for the next week or two. Instead, I'll be catching up on comic book reading and watching my Battlestar Galactica DVDS. I'll miss everyone terribly and am looking forward to catching up on entries once my laptop is fixed. In the meantime, I need to use this thing's remaining power to back up my systems in case my hard drive gets wiped again. - Mood:sad

I really need somebody to tell me not to buy this. Seriously. On the other hand Marcus Cole could really use a playmate. *contemplates what Captain Jack would do with a virgin from the 23rd century* It would make a good fic if I ever had time to write anything.

( I just got done with season two of New Who )And now for an announcement of an entirely different nature. comicstore_news, the newsletter for livejournal's comics fandom, is in need of a new editor. I've done a fair number of newsletters in the past year, but this one is definitely my favorite. The other editors are extremely friendly and reliable. Plus, since this is one of the smaller fandoms, a typical issue only takes about 20 minutes to do. :) The opening is for Wednesday, but we're happy to move the schedule around if you'd prefer another day. Would any of you lovely people be interested? Feel free to e-mail me (weirdofromafar@gmail.com) or the team (comicstorenews@gmail.com) if you have any questions. :D

A severely ailing Clark Kent searches for his missing wife. Something's been troubling the Doctor, and it's keeping Rose awake. (Set after the events of \"The Satan Pit.\")

Living on Planet Joelle does tend to put you out of sync with the rest of the world. Yet, I never imagined I could be this off. Apparently BSG's premiering this Friday, not Sunday! *facepalm* Let the squeeing begin!
|
Heavy on the older generation vs the younger generation, regret and consequences. It is a company centric trailer. Peter and his destiny and his family. Normal is a relative term. If the son of the watchmaker is a watchmaker, can he ever rest his hands? (prose-poem) \"He hears muttering, praying, in Spanish each night before she falls asleep.\" :Against reason and reality, he trusts it.

From tju_tju_tju_tju: 1. Reply to this post, and I will pick four of your icons. 2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose. 3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts. 4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee! ( My four )Also, thanks to kattahj, I don't think I could ever bring myself to read Who porn. Poor David Tennant! - Tags:angela petrelli, doctor who, heroes, humor, icons, links, lj friends, memes, memoirs of a geisha, patrick stewart, star trek

Angela Petrelli says suck it up and get over it. One side of Angela. The side we love to hate. The show's Co-Executive Producers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander join John for a look back at Vol 2, and what the future may hold for the show, the story and its characters, as the WGA strike rolls on. - Mood:irate

Nathan watches his brother while Peter stares up at the sky. Bedtime stories are Mohinder's specialty. Matt does things a bit differently. Takes place between season 1 and 2. The dreams got stranger over time. ( Cuttng the rest for sanity's sake )

I just set my computer to play the Tardis themesong whenever it starts and the Dalek battle cry when I shut it down. It'll be awhile before the cries of "Exterminate!" don't have me jumping out of my seat but it's worth it! Maybe I should rename my computer "The Tardis". :D

I'd first like to take this opportunity to wish a happy birthday to lillaluv! Lilla, you're an absolute sweetheart and it's been great getting to know you the past year. Second, after over a year of catching little tidbits here and there, I finally decided to start watching (New) Doctor Who in order. ( My thoughts, let me show you them )

Elle watches him hungrily.
\"I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth.\"
