Ok, ok, I'm trying to distract myself as best as I can. *sigh* It's really hard. I'm not a crier, but if I stop being pissed off, I might move on to depressed. Or maybe even self-pity. I don't particularly like either of those. Which is why I'm distracting myself...

It's funny how there are so many real life jodis in Bollywood right now. Saif/Kareena, Abhi/Ash, Ranbir/Deepika, Salman/Katrina, John/Bips and the possibility of Shahid/Vidya. And actually, I was thinking about it, and the age difference between Sallu and Kat is almost 20 years (!!!), yet Saif and Kareena, who have an age difference of exactly 10 years seem to get more flak than they do. Did I just miss the train on the Salman/Katrina disgust, or did it really never happen? Because 20 years...wow. She's only four years older than me!
Don't know if anyone remembers me saying that I wanted to see more of the Salman/Priyanka jodi after MSK and S-E-I, just to see if they're loveable or not. Now, with God Tussi Great Ho, we'll get a whole movie of just them. But the movie looks so stupid, so I might check out a song to see if I was right about their chemistry...
I was also considering how interesting the Saif/Deepika jodi will be in the upcoming Imtiaz Ali movie. There are so many possibilities of pairings and jodis with the new young crop of actors. Sonam Kapoor & Shahid Kapur? Ranbir Kapoor & Amrita Rao? Deepika Padukone & Harman Baweja? Shreyas Talpade & Kareena Kapoor? Or even Vidya Balan & Upen Patel?! I know, some of these are so weird to even think about, but still, gah, so many permutations to experiment with. :D
Shahid & Soha would be mad lulz since her brother is dating his ex. ;) ...For some reason, I passionately want to see Imraan Khan/Sonam Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor/Amrita Rao and Shreyas Talpade/Deepika Padukone. I think these three pairings would be really really REALLY cute. :) ...Maybe a movie with all THREE jodis?! :D
I shall end with a poll. These three current hit jodis annoy me and seem to only be gaining popularity for some extremely odd reason. So tell me, dear flist, which of these three is your least favourite?

I'm trying to be optimistic right now. I really am. But you guys have no idea what I just went through.
Today was the big day. My MCAT. I woke up early, refreshed my brain, had a big breakfast, I was so ready for the damn thing.
I walked into the waiting room and saw a few of my Health Sci friends. We chatted nervously for a little bit, easing out of our adrenaline rushes.
But the talking went on and on and on and on and on. Because we had a server failure. Or some sort of crap like that, I don't even know. I was too pissed off. And so was everyone else. First they said there was a delay. Then they tried to sign one girl in and it didn't work. Then there was more of a delay. Then, around 1:00 pm, which was actually when we should have been DONE, they said we were screwed and would have to reschedule.
I kid you not, the people who were writing in the SAME building, a room down the hall, were completely fine. They had no problems. They finished their exam right when we found out we had to reschedule. Now I'm writing on August 9th in friggin' Ottawa!! What the bloody hell?!!
All I did today was wait. Wait and wait and wait. We waited from 7:30 am all the way to 1:00 pm for them to fix stuff, only to have it not work. I waited for an HOUR and a half on the phone just to reschedule my MCAT exam. Oh, and mind you, even though we got screwed, they gave us no special treatment on finding a new time. They were just like "oh, that blows that we don't know how to do our jobs. now to do nothing about it. what's that? this is about your prospective career? yeah, isn't life a bitch?" I swear, if I ever become a doctor and I find out that my patient works for AAMC or Prometric, I am going to slip them laxatives. :P
I mean, my aunt and uncle are coming down next week, and I'm seeing Coldplay on July 31st, I had planned my life expecting that I would WRITE THIS DAMN THING TODAY!!!! And now I have about three weeks of weirdness where I'm already ready to write, but I can't yet. And I'm already ready to relax, but I CAN'T yet.
I have never heard of such a thing happening to anyone EVER. I don't even know what to say. I've had enough time to roll it over in my head plenty, and I've accepted my fate, but still...this is so damn stupid. If my family didn't have the freedom to drop everything and book a hotel room in Ottawa for a night, I would be so screwed. One girl is going back to Saudi Arabia this Wednesday! She is most DEFINITELY screwed. AAARGH!!!!
In conclusion dear flist, I really really need some love right now. :'(

I seriously love Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain, or KAPPS. Rukhie has so much fun with the contestants, who are from all over India. :)
OMG, starting at 3:25. Man oh man. Apparently Rukhie-Jaan's grandfather was the Chief Engineer of Karnataka!!!!! O_O Shahrukh stayed in Bangalore as a child and knows all about MG Road. Holy friggin' crap. *ded*
And then at the end, around 6:54, he makes the contestant say that he is not smarter than a fifth grader in Kannada. *loves* (Smi, do you have any idea what SRK says after that part? Is that his vain attempt at Kannada? LULZ.) Seriously, it's so cool that in this show, they spoke English, Hindi AND Kannada, and I understood all three!! :)
Lol, ohhhhh, how I love this. The kids are so adorable, Shahrukh is great, and then of course RANDOM APPEARANCE BY PREITY ZINTA!! :D I totally didn't see that coming. Pri-chan and Rukhie-Jaan like to hang out, don't they? ^^

Reasons Why I Have Been Unable To Get Any Work Done In The Last Three Days:
Thursday
- brother gave me a wake-up call (literally) that ended up with me going on a wild goose chase re: course selection
- dude hooking up the home theatre in our basement wanted my laptop to test stuff, leaving me unable to do anything
- amplifier for home theatre was messed, daddy had to go return it, so I had to go with him, 'cause the poor guy was tired
Friday
- volunteered in the morning, therefore unable to do work
- too hot in my room to work, as our air conditioning is not working...random dudes working on our basement screwed it up
- attempted to study downstairs while rents were out, yet got unbearable headache due to wisdom teeth coming in (yes, my wisdom teeth are slow, I am not very wise...)
- after dinner, power went out due to intense thunderstorm; did not return until close to midnight
Saturday
- waiting to buy Coldplay tickets
- still need to buy a Father's day gift!! (yes, Father's day is tomorrow...:P)
- my sibs are coming home; biggest distraction ever
- writing this stupid entry
In conclusion, there is some sort of conspiracy against me and doing work. I swear to god, the power going out and not coming back on for a good four hours was the icing on the cake. XD
Wish me luck in getting back on track, I'm gonna need it! ;)
