I've traveled all over the world, but this was the trip of my lifetime (so far). It really is an amazing, magical place. I took hundreds of pictures so this is only the first of several posts, but it includes sea lions (which I love love love now), various large birds, iguanas, turtles, lizards and crabs.

I just got back from seeing the Dark Knight.

HOLY CRAP.

I have never cared remotely about Batman or DC or anything American-comics wise (I wish I did but haven't been able to get into them) BUT THAT WAS.... SDFJHJKLLOGDHJKDF.

It has been a long time since I have seen a movie that made the audience jump out of their seats as many times as this one did. And I was in what I have dubbed the "applause row", because every time something happened that impressed us we all broke out in applause. That... I think the last time that happened to me was when I went to see The Return of the King on opening day.

And Heath Ledger, just... how were you so fekking amazing. You completely made the movie for me. Oh my god. And I say this even knowing everything that was going to happen because I spoiled myself. I WAS SURPRISED ANYWAY.

I'm impressed. Seriously.

Dad: Are you going to send me those pictures?
Me: Yeah. I'm going to put them in a zip file.
Courtney: Zip file?
Me: Winzip.
Dad: Yeah, I can open a zip file.
Mom: I can open a ziplock! :D

Okay, so, while working at the zoo I get a lot of strange things said to me. But this has to be the strangest thus far.

Me: [just fed the Dominique chickens, and am standing by the stall door to keep out pigeons]
Random older man: Oh, so you're a bus stop!
Me: Huh?
ROM: A bus stop! You're a bus stop!
Me: ...???
Woman: She's not a bus stop.
ROM: Oh.
Me: [SO CONFUSED]

Am I missing something? Is there some secret meaning to "bus stop" that I've somehow missed?

I WASN'T GOING TO WATCH IT but I am because damn it if I'm going to let fandom cockblock me out of something else. Fandom is silly. I love this show. Written during viewing and while in the Avachan, so it's pretty incoherent.
