I think I'm gonna try to cut sweets out of my diet for a month. I recently heard somewhere that Lyme spirochetes feed on sugar almost primarily, so eating less sugar tends to put more of them into hybernation. This could be a total crock of lies, but it would explain why I always seem to ache the most after I eat breakfast in the morning. I was feeling fine after lunch until I ate those raspberries with honey. Now my wrists ache so much that I gave up coloring this commission for a while.

It's gonna be so hard to not eat sweets. Arg, sugar is part of my every day existance. But I think it'll be worth it to see if it helps any. We'll see.

Wordcount atm: 8445! Haha, that makes this thing a little over halfway done. I am amused. Can't wait to edit it.

Both Zy and Rida wrote up some stuff about what their dragon icons mean to them and I thought it would be neat to do something like that. Not all of my characters are deeply rooted in myself, but there are a few that are really important to me on a personal level.

If there was anything I'd use to describe myself as a whole, as a metaphor for my entire personality, it'd be green herons. But that's a mouthful for another day. XD Anyone else you wanna know about?

So um. Theoretically, if one was going to be carrying a hand-to-hand stafflike weapon that took two hands to hold but not a lot of strength; and one was also going to be carrying a loaded AK-47 that would only be used in longer range situations, would it be plausible for one to also carry a semi-automatic pistol at the same time? Just in case? Like, a back up weapon. Or would that just get in the way of said two handed stafflike weapon?

I'm seriously thinking of leaving SheezyArt and FA. I dunno. I'm not 100 percent happy with the new DA or anything, but at least I don't have to pay for a subscription anymore. I joined Sheezy because Z and Arby and Chu and Bug and Glau and all those other comic people were on there, but now they either don't post there or I watch them somewhere else, so what's the point? Seems like every time I check the site there's just 7 messages waiting for me. Not to mention how massively retarded everyone over there is now. And FA... I dunno. I kind of hate checking my updates there. I look at the art and everything, but it just feels like one extra thing to keep up with that I really don't care about. Not to mention that people seem to use it like a blogging site. I can't choose to not have journals show up in my inbox? I think that's a little pretentious.

I know Z said she was moving over to Fiend's Fridge, which looks pretty cool. It's based on monsters after all, and all I really draw is monsters and robots. Except it's so small there's really no point in joining. It's a nice little site though.

I don't know. Maybe it's just because I feel so apathetic about art right now. Everything I draw comes out below my standards. I've been trying to draw Tikall for months and every time I sketch him I feel he's not up to par with how he should look. Everything's so static. :/ I dunno.

I guess I'll go mess with Pyre's layout some more...

Went out to the library today. I now have a hoard of SF books I probably won't finish, and somehow the thing I'm most excited to read is a YA book about Chinese dragons. Wow.

Pie's been playing with his Pokemon cards again, and the other day he handed me a Scizor card and asked, "Here, do you want this?" :D Scizor's only like one of my favorites. Of course. So now I have two bookmarks. My shiny Skarmory now has a friend.

But enough of this woe. :D I can work through it. I think I'm gonna try to change some of my habits, too. I've been getting more and more lazy lately, and I'm kind of tired of that. Time to set some goals and work toward them. 600-700 words a day? Finish all my trades before the month ends? Try posting in this journal more often instead of just shutting up. :D Get a frelling job! [Gosh, if only.] So, hopefully you guys will see me around more often. Maybe even commenting, because I honestly do read all your posts. I just never feel like I have anything to say.

I now own my favorite book. The Hormone Jungle by Robert Reed. I sat down and opened it and paged through the chapters, reading the little intros he wrote for the beginning of each. It's just kind of striking how each adds to the chapter it preceeds. Either adding information or depth of culture, or contradicting the actions of one of the characters so strongly that you can't help but go "Huh" after the fact. Mmm.
