Anne drying her hair and the TV |

Yesterday was quite bittersweet. I went to work and got good food--sweet. My trip home, however, proved to be rather bitter. Dad brought up the apartment deal. Both parents told me that I could get an apartment but they'd only be able to chip in $50/month. Next step is to do out a budget and see if I can afford to get an apartment...
Once I got done crying for an hour and then driving back to Radford, I smoked some weed to drown away my sorrows, picked up Anne, then headed back to my room. Matt was hanging out on the front porch so we chatted with him. Then his roommate, Jason, and his brother, Andrew came along. Andrew is super cute and was totally all about some Carly. He gave me a kiss on the cheek. Later we all moved to my room where Andrew and I shared a slow dance to the music in our heads. It was nice. So I kind of had a Valentine!
I woke up with the shittiest headache ever this morning from crying for long and because I stayed up too late.
Now I have to write some shit for African American Lit and do my reading journal for Victorian Lit. Great way of waiting until the last minute, eh? It snowed a lot here today but I don't think it was enough to cancel school tomorrow...

Tonight was fun, Anne and I hung out with our Josh from Tech and Stef who's friends with Sara. We went to Applebees and had a lovely evening! Then Anne, Stef, and I got high on Rock Road.
Now we're stoned and watching Stigmata. I fucking LOVE that movie. It's defintely one I could watch over and over. My senior paper in high school was about research on stigmata. CRAZY.
This quiz was fun and I did well, except for the Velvet Underground question. I like their music but familiar with the band's history.
Good. You know your music. You should be able to work at Championship Vinyl with Rob, Dick and Barry

Tonight after Anne got off work we went to IHOP for some crappy comida. Then I smoked some sweet herb on the way to VPI! We went to see our good old friend Josh. I was really stoned after being there for like 13 minutes. Then I pounced on a poor, defenseless, blue recycling can...I threw up almost all of my IHOP meal.
And the trashbag was tied closed.
But no one tell Josh that happened!!!
Every single black member of the Radford community was at 7-11 tonight. It took Anne forever to go in and get me another pack of peanut M&Ms.
Now I need to be horizontal as I await a phone call. Mayhaps it will come...
PS Anne and Marie know what "5 out of 6" means! Niiiice.

My heart is starting to act like it did a handful of months ago. I cannot do this to myself again. Both parties are no longer the same and feelings will be even less mutual than before, I think. Sometimes I worry myself.
On the other hand, the positive hand, the beautiful community service boy Aaron worked with me yesterday. He beat me up. He is one of two boys I have to look up to when we talk. Too bad he's 18. Hmm, well, that's only three years... He has 48 more hours left before he leaves like so many others have left before. Luckily Brian still has a nice chunk of hours left.
I apologized to Matthew yesterday for exploding at him about a week ago. He said it was big of me to come to him like that. Shit, I don't care if it was big, I felt like ass for being so mean to him.
Marie and I went to Christiansburg Mall earlier and I bought the sexiest shoes for Sara's wedding. They're so simple but so hott at the same time. And all of their silvery goodness only cost me $15.
Well a bunch of English Education kids are in Dr. Kelly's office now. They keep looking at me weird...

Sara on her phone talking to Ronnie |

So I just got back from taking Marie to Roanoke so she and Anne could go to Charlottesville tonight. Marie and I went to David's Bridal to pick up Sara's bridesmaids' dresses, including mine. The colour of them isn't too bad although I'd rather mine be blue but desert coral will have to suffice since it is Sara's wedding [hehe]...
After that we went to the mall and hit up Old Navy and I got a hott $7.00 shirt that is blue, Japanese style with white flowers. I also got a plain old v-neck, long-sleeved, black shirt. Then I got three pairs of socks (one for Anne since she loves green) at Gap. I could have bought a pair of mittens but alas, I go without.
Anne got off work around 945 so then we went to IHOP and two of her co-workers went with us. It was fun even though our waitress was a complete fuck up. Then I drove the hour back to Radford all alone. There were so many tractor trailers (8) and they all blocked me in and I was then traveling at 50 miles an hour on the INTERSTATE!
OH! When we were walking in the mall I bumped into Ryan who I worked with so many years ago at Natural Wonders. He said I have changed so much from the last time we talked. He's such a great guy, although his girlfriend isn't all that nice.
Well I'm really tired and I need to get out of Sara's room and into my bed. Ciao, y'all!

My brother asked for my Pearl Jam CDs a couple minutes ago. I presented him with my top 3 (and the only ones I have in the house right now): Yield, No Code, and Ten. So, right now as I'm updating, Dylan Johnson is listening to Pearl Jam! There's no country music, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 50 Cent, or any random crap music...

Hi, My name is Carly Johnson and I have problems voicing my emotions, therefore causing more stress in my friendships than anything. But even though I discuss things with friends it makes the least bit of damn difference afterwards.
Anne is going to move away... Dave barely speaks to me anymore... Sara's getting married... Keturah lives with her boyfriend and we rarely talk... Jeff lives in California...
And sadly that's the extent of my close friends.
Compared to any of the people listed above, I have to serve more time in college.
My own prediction of the future: I will be one of those girls like in crappy movies who comes home to an empty apartment.
Maybe Kevin and Jessica will want to share an apartment with me next year. I really hate to be 21 and living on campus. Living with those two would be fun and would cheapen rent! Ha...I have such silly ideas.

I'm now a junior at Radford University. My cumulative GPA (2.683) isn't that great but it's better than the 2.4 after my first semester at RU. Maybe one day I'll make it to the damned Dean's list...
Just call me the little train that could and hope that I can...

I broke down and rented a teenager movie tonight: How to Deal. It was actually a decent one that didn't primarily take place in the typical high school scenario. The soundtrack is killer as well.
So Saturday's K Word show was amazing. We were swallowed in the fog from the fog machine. I tried blowing out repeatedly but that didn't help any. Anne said it was symbolic because the K Word is fading away, although Aaron and Greg are already forming/in another band. They had their new EP for sale so I bought one and love it--Greg was right about that. I will definitely miss looking forward, stressing about making it on time, and going to their shows.
While shopping at Valley View Mall with my Dad today, I saw Greg and his Mom. It was sort of bizarre. He shook my Dad's hand, he's so well-mannered! I made Dad go into Hot Topic where I saw an ex co-worker from Claire's. She got fired too! A club should be formed. My Christmas shopping is done. It only took one day too! Why do so many people complain?!?
One thing I will complain about is riding in a vehicle with my father while trying to get around in the Christmas traffic. He cursed at (while in the truck) an old man, stupid women, stupid men, and stupid kids. The old man incident cracked me up though! I wish I'd had my camera with me so I could have taken a picture of the guy's dumbfounded expression. Priceless!
Time to go wrap all the goodies now. I think I'll have some mint chocolate chip ice cream too. My new favourite. Yum.
P.S. Jeff just called and he's in town! Dave also doens't want the Christmas present I got him...jerk!
TheKidsCantDance: I got your Christmas present! DaPetik: >:o TheKidsCantDance: you gone like it DaPetik: im not DaPetik: i dont want it TheKidsCantDance: WELL YOU'RE GONNA GET IT DaPetik: >:o NO

I do not think I could be any happier right now. The things that have been sitting on my shoulders for the past two weeks have now fallen off. [I still feel like I have to write to impress...] Yes, my "finals" are over, aka two papers. My grades are no longer in my hands at all and I am terrified. I know I have one grade on my side though; I got a B in Photography.
Speaking of Photography...my "date" with Beatutiful Dan is on Saturday! We're going to the K Word show in downtown Roanoke...the final K Word show, ever. It will most certainly be sad. I got a flash for my camera so now I can take pictures that will turn out!
I'm getting a fucking roommate next semester. Not happy about that at all! She better not come in changing stuff up.
Time to go turn in my last paper and then try and get some food.
Ciao.

Symptoms: Achy body, incessant coughing, congestion Temperature: 102 Diagnosis: Bronchitis
After having an annoying cough for nine days and annoying everyone at home in one day, Dad made me go to the doctor at two this afternoon. I had to wait forever and everyone who came in after me got to see their doctors first. Since Dad wouldn't come with me I had to go to the doctor's office alone!!! Then I had to wait for thirty minutes in Kroger for them to fill my prescription. I cried while walking to get chocolate ice cream because I hurt all over and then some kid stared at me.
This sucks.

Today I called work and asked if there was any way I could not have to come in and Shendale said that was fine. Yay! I got home at 2:49 pe em, instead of the original 8 pe em ETA. My parents were surprised, and happy. I was glad I got to leave early as well so Anne would have someone to follow her in case the battery in her car pooped out. She got home safely as well.
I get to use Dave's brother's laptop while I'm on break because I'm suave like that. So right now I'm just chillin' out in my room with the mirrorball a-spinnin' while updating this piece.
My room's all clean since Mom cleaned it up for me. I can actually see the floor of my closet. The only think I am unhappy with my parents about is the fact that I must be out on my own before I can get inked. No more "at least 21", damnit. They think the idea and urgency to get something permanently placed on my body will fade. Newsflash: That's a big negative!
I got my final project assignment in Photography on Monday. It will be fun because all I have to do is photograph my bizarre family. Mawmaw...watch out!!! I'm sure I'll also have some lovely shots of my dear father showing Professor Knipe his middle finger. Should I develop them and turn 'em in? I mean that is what my Dad does each and every time we try and take a picture of him. Hmm. Well I spent $10 on the stupid film today so I must make all seventy-two pictures count. Oh and I also got a tripod from Mom so I can take steadier shots! Next thing on the list to acquire for this hobby: $15 flash from Ritz Camera.
I really want to go to Buchanan tomorrow, if the weather's nice, and use up the film already in my camera. The last time I went there with Dave not too many of my pictures came out how I wanted them to on account of my stupid automatic everything Vivitar. We'll see how the S&R holds out.
Okay, enough of this jibber jabber. I really need to go to sleep because this nagging cough has now turned into a runny nose, left ear pain, and a sore-like throat. Why must I be fucked up for the holidays? It's inevitable!
Paz.

Anne and I watched the Behind the Music on the Spice Girls tonight. Rather humourous, actually.
Today was a good day, I got a lot done and was still able to sleep in! Tuesday I have a presentation on Cold Mountain in my Study of Fiction class that I had to do some shit for. I got stuck writing the damn plot summary and other stupid topics, but they're done now and I just don't give a damn. Right now I just want to drop out of school and work full-time. I want to have money to go all over the place: Florida, New York, Spain, etc. That will never happen when Radford University keeps fucking with me.
I also went to the darkroom tonight and bumped into Dan!!! He is the perfect guy for me and Anne even agrees. I'm sure Sara would approve as well. Most of my pictures that I took while riding around with Dave didn't turn out. If the light meter worked I'd have much better results, but all of my pictures turn out too bright. The ones that did turn out I'm really pleased with. I picked out a picture I took from the K Word show in Vinton to show depth of field and it's an absolutely beautiful shot! Someone send me money for photograph paper.
Speaking of [the] K Word, their final show ever is December 20 at La Finca in Downtown Rke. Everyone should go; I'm thinking of inviting either Mike or Dan to go with me and Anne. I cannot believe our boys are splitting up. At least Greg and Aaron will be putting together another band. Oof.
Well, so much has been going on but I can't remember it all and some of it doesn't need to be broadcast via my journal. Mainly, I don't want to be in school anymore. I'm completely ready for the holidays and time away from Radford. I'm also ready to be in a relationship, but then again who isn't during this time of the year? I hope all is well for all of my amigos--I can't wait for New Year's Eve! Ciao, kids.
