Five years. Hm. It doesn't seem that long ago, like, "Liek, omg, i just got my braces off 5 yrs ago!!1111oneoneonasdfjkl;! :D"
However, for this momentus occassion....I really don't know what to say. BLAH! All I can really remember is that I was in 7th grade then. I think I was in my...Social Studies class with a teacher named Mrs. Beaman(I probably spelt her name wrong xD). It was on the news, and it was live. I saw one of the planes crash into...I think it was the second tower. Everyone was really quiet, and some people were just in awe. I don't think I really remember what happened after that. However, the next day was so completely hectic. Fort Bragg, one of THE largest military bases on the east coast, was scrambling around. I think I waited an hour or so for the bus before it arrived. I live only a mile and a half away from Bragg, so traffic was back up until...I think near the Plaza.
Today, on the history channel, there were so many shows dealing with 9/11. All of them very sad, and a lot giving me that weird tingly feeling. I wonder...what will it be like in ten years. Hopefully this war will be over and we'll go back to that naive feeling of peace the day before 9/11.
