It's not that I didn't like the previous Hulk movie (although I didn't). I've just never been much of a Hulk fan. As a child, I watched a few episodes of the TV show, and it was SO SCARY to me when he would transform; it's possible I carry some residue of that sensation now that I'm an adult.
I just never found the concept as interesting as I should. Or maybe it was the delivery. I obviously should not punish the new Hulk movie for the sins of the previous, but I have absolutely NO desire to see it. I wonder, though, if they'll start pulling this kind of thing with other Marvel movies that haven't done so well. Do we want/need Punisher 3 with a different cast? I'd LOVE to see a different set of actors and different director for a potential Ghost Rider II, but a sequel is highly unlikely.
Back to the Hulk, I don't think it was wise to bring out this movie while the taste of the other still lingers (even for those who liked the previous Hulk, this is likely going to be quite different). It's not going to get that success we just saw with Iron Man. Iron Man was, at least, relatively unexplored with regards to the Big Screen, but we've seen the Hulk in many incarnations, so it doesn't bring anything new.
Anyway. Rambling. I don't wanna see it much. How 'bout you?
