Vequinox.net may be down...
Not to worry, friends. I don't know how many of you still visit vequinox.net, but I'm switching hosting (from Powweb to Godaddy's), and it could be down for a day or two. I just don't need the bandwidth that I used to, and Godaddy is a bit cheaper.

Oh come on.
So our boss's wife sent out a nasty little email to us females (there are 5 of us not counting her) that OMG for the past couple days (2 days!!), she's found a couple pieces of toilet paper on the floor. The email chewed us out, made us sound like children.

So you know what I did. Yeah. I smiled, gleefully went in and shredded some toilet paper, sprinkling it with glee all over the bathroom sink. :)

Edit: Because I know you guys are probably dying to know how that turned out, well, unfortunately a co-worker removed the toilet paper. She (a VERY nice girl) and the boss's wife have been at odds lately, and she feared they might think she did it (a reasonable concern). I will yet get my point across, however. I believe once the girl is on vacation (soon), I shall tie cute toilet-paper-bows on the door knobs. :)

We can read, yes?
I love that I have just been handed a photocopy of some Sensitive Material that says, very clearly at the bottom, "SECURE MATERIAL, DO NOT COPY."

:D

EDIT: ALSO. DeepDiscount.com is having their semi-annual sale, they already have free shipping and great prices, but with the discount code SUPERSALE, you get another 20% off. I got Leon: The Professional and Black Snake Moan. Sale ends June 22. (Noooo I don't work for 'em, just wanted to get the word out.)

Do the math!
So today, the client wants to set up their password protected site (all users will use the same password initially). They choose their company name and, since it was founded in 1969.....they make the password....

Company69.

The lady client had NO idea. None. BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

JAFAX - anime/culture con
So I won't be going to JAFAX this year. Last year, I went with [info]litagemini, and that was a lot of fun (also because she's made of awesome). If you live near Grand Rapids, you should consider going. It's a growing con (ok, ok, "festival"...whatever, it's a convention), but pretty neat. We didn't spend the whole day, not having been too interested in some of the anime they were showing; both of us were aiming towards the shopping and to view cosplay.

I'd like to cosplay sometime. My only hesitation is that I don't want to end up on the Internets, but there's no way around that. If you are wearing a costume, someone will take a picture of you, win or fail. (MORE likely if fail.) I'm also not sure if I am too old to cosplay. I'm thinking no, as long as I don't try to cosplay, say, CardCaptor Sakura or something (HILARITY!).

So would you cosplay? Have you? What were you?

The Hulk
It's not that I didn't like the previous Hulk movie (although I didn't). I've just never been much of a Hulk fan. As a child, I watched a few episodes of the TV show, and it was SO SCARY to me when he would transform; it's possible I carry some residue of that sensation now that I'm an adult.

I just never found the concept as interesting as I should. Or maybe it was the delivery. I obviously should not punish the new Hulk movie for the sins of the previous, but I have absolutely NO desire to see it. I wonder, though, if they'll start pulling this kind of thing with other Marvel movies that haven't done so well. Do we want/need Punisher 3 with a different cast? I'd LOVE to see a different set of actors and different director for a potential Ghost Rider II, but a sequel is highly unlikely.

Back to the Hulk, I don't think it was wise to bring out this movie while the taste of the other still lingers (even for those who liked the previous Hulk, this is likely going to be quite different). It's not going to get that success we just saw with Iron Man. Iron Man was, at least, relatively unexplored with regards to the Big Screen, but we've seen the Hulk in many incarnations, so it doesn't bring anything new.

Anyway. Rambling. I don't wanna see it much. How 'bout you?

More voyeurism!
Here are my DVDs and some of my books (the favorites, anyway). The books I own but don't have at my apartment are more of the same (ie, religion/fantasy/Celtic history tomes).

Errrr, I hope it doesn't look like I'm bragging, because I honestly just think people get curious about what other people have for entertainment, and what they tend to collect. Really, I think most people have about 30 times more DVDs than I do! Anyway...

Onward! )

I know it's weird, but...
...I drink lemon juice. Straight. With a tiny bit of sea salt added. That's right. NO sugar.

I DRINK STRAIGHT LEMON JUICE.

My book bling...
So one time when I posted a pic of toys, some folks commented on the wee bit of manga they could see on a shelf in the background. I guess I was teasing you without meaning to!

Ahoy, then, peek at my bookshelf, you voyeur! )
