We just got back from PhreakNIC which was a bunch of fun. I got to play Carcassonne with my friends. It was the first time I had played it and I really like it. I'll pick up a copy for myself soon.

I also caught [info]eldritchhobbit's presentation about dystopian fiction and how the concerns these stories raise are still with us. It was double plus good!

It also helped me nail down the setting for my NaNoWriMo novel this year. Thanks, Amy!

Carcassonne is a GREAT game! That and Settlers of Catann are so great to drag out and get a lot of folks that are use to only Monopoly and Life to play fun and interesting games!
