Outside of trying to vent out my fustraition on World of Warcraft. Work the source of fustraition, has been hellish. Depression setting in over feb 14th has not made me the most sociable person at the current moment.
Otherwise I've been spending mytime online sitting at my couch reading a good book and watching TV, the internet being on so I don't miss anything from people who need to reach me but never had my phone #
I appologise for anyone who thinks I've up and wandered off to ignore them. I haven't fully done that. I'm just at a hightened stressful point in my life and avoiding some aspects seem to help me keep from going postal on walmart employee's every time they misplace one of my boxes for work, only to then call into my supervisor and tell them I'm not doing my job.
As for other things in my personal life? In 2 years time (2009-ish) I'm going to be setting my world domination plans into effect as I heft my life across country to live on the Sunny yet hopefully not sinking anytime in my lifetime side of the U.S.of A aka San Diego, California.
This is my last major year to do Con's which I'll only be doing a few. Once I settle and get myself a job I'll see what I can do about coming back out to the east coast to visit the dirty faces of those I love.... (*rubs chu's cheek clean*)
On the plus side I'll be importing some amazing Japanese candy to loved ones back home once I'm out there..... plus you guys are always welcomed to come visit me and Melissa.

hello journal and all the people who apparently read this.
It's me. Apparently I don't love you all enough to continue to communicate and have abandoned you all to the way side for a little W.o.W vacation. Needless to say during this time I've apparently ignored you all I've also busted out two paintings, lost sleep, gone insomniac Vampire, and developed a taste for neglecting stuff.
I'm not addicted people. It's just the new shiny thing in front of my face at the current moment. I'm distracted by it like a kitty is to a ball of yarn. Some of you may wonder why I choose to be in the chatroom yet not interact. It's easy....... I just have nothing to say. I'd rather be there to make sure peace is kept and keep my mouth shut by observing all the boring humdrum same old same old topics I keep seeing. Not your fault. It's the way I am. what incentive do I have now. Chatroom autopunts lurkers. profanity keeps out most cuss words. Rules get spammed.... once ever 20 minutes? no need for me to repeat myself the chatroom has it's own built in record.
Life sucks, people in my life are having a miserable season, i don't feel like leaving my house or getting out of bed most days. Maybe I'm depressed. Maybe I'm crazy. Who knows. I'm no shrink.
on a positive note.
I was accepted into the Women's of Westchester Art exhibit. So those two paintings I did, attempting to sell both at $200 a pop. It's my first show with an actual first real tag on my price doing the art I learned in the 4-5 years I attended SUNY Purchase College so many lifetimes ago. I'm nervous least to say. It could make or break my actual career in this field. But I shouldn't get my hopes up. hope is bad. very bad in my world.
Oh well..... time to sleep if my body will allow it. god knows it doesn't like to.
Also if you cant tell that my wording on most is BS'ed and joke-phrased..... then you really fail...... epic'ly....... for I am the Law Givah! |

| The Quest for Walking.... |

So after a long internal struggle and debate over if I should or not I've decided to get into the interesting world of Warcrafting.
Now before you start crying over my lack of attention to you people. Let me just say that for the past few months I've been playing a fun Multi-User Dungeon game called "Kingdoms of the Lost" (KotL.org) and it hasn't pulled my attention away anymore then when I'm working on artwork or anything else in my life. This is just something else for me to spend time doing.
Now I'm probably not going to get addicted. I'll prolly tire of it after a few months and leave. Who knows. There is one aspect of the game that greatly interests me and that's the ever building Lore of the game. The story. I'll admit I was skeptical at first and shrugged it off as just a really crappy game. But then I got to reading about the roles of each race. Watching the inter-winding depth of each character. I like that. I think the lore and story of the game is it's biggest draw to me.
Which is most likely why I got into Kingdoms of the Lost in the first place....
So..... that's it. With snazzy luck I'll have some interesting things to say about the game when I finally do get around to playing it. |

| Comic Con Dooms DAY |

First off, happy birthday (belated) miss Helen and Travis.. may the next one be just as joyful.

Woke up at Ungodly 5:30 am again to get myself up on time for the Con. This time we planned smart and packed all the blankets and junk in the car the night before. When we got to the con we got inside headed up to the Masquerade booth and rolled under the table. THIS TIME WITH BLANKIES! and promptly returned to sleep for another few hours. Much more comfortable sleep when your warm....
At around 9am hit the Dealers room to pick up a few odds and ends. Purchased a beautiful Phoenix (me) and Indiana Jones (mel) print which ended up making me buy a poster tube (DAMN oh well a great investment for other cons). After roaming around a bit more with Shay we stopped at a booth because I noticed some BEAUTIFUL artwork. Apparently it was a small table booth off to the back to the CREATOR of the Last Unicorn. After chatting with him and crying slightly because I didn't have enough money on me that day I returned back to the booth where Shay and I picked up our stuff and ran it back to the car.
Year after year the Comic Con Masquerade always impresses me like crazy. This year was no different. All the costumes where beautiful. the skits kept me rolling in stitches. So Much hard work in all of this. Except......... for the nearly hour long halftime show of Pirates VS Ninjas.
It was bad enough their troupe was well.... boring skit wise... the costumes where bad and the Jack Sparrow they had took our Water to drink it assuming it was his....... WTF dude... WTF. Mel was not impressed. However the one short skit they had which we thought would have really rocked the audience had a bit of wardrobe malfunction..... the head fell off and the costume came apart WAY sooner then expected..... oh well. Bravo to them for not letting it slow them down.
At that time I had a nasty headache from those Pirates VS Ninja people.... ugh I could punch them. Oh well... hopefully they'll never do another one like that again..... or at all.
At around 1:30 - 2 am I fell back asleep to wake up and get my prints.
Sunday Shay and I woke up..... an hour later then we should. BUT! The good part is we where able to get parking with no hassle and still got in early. Did a few favors for people. Ran over and found The amazingly nice author of the Last Unicorn, joined his mailing list and purchased a lady Almalthea print. (SO PRETTY!) After buying one or two more things Shay and I got in line for some booth freebies and walked away with some kick assed stuff.
After that we had lunch at Jack in the Box. (pretty good burgers too) and returned home to find Mel sleeping off Comic Con. So we played some Okami and chatted a bit. It was hard to go away again but I definitely gotta come back again. Next year I'll do portfolio reviews. |

| San Diego Comic Con part 2 |

So Friday morning we got up at 5 am.... or rather we woke up a tad bit late. Made it to the Convention without too much hassle....... except for a broken trolly bar... so after a detour we made it to the parking lot. Went upstairs to the booth, where all 3 of us ducked under the tables behind the booth and promptly fell asleep.....
APPARENTLY! the AC is left on all night.... so it was about 40 degree's in the convention center.....
I froze my ass off...... D: FROZEN I SAY!
So close to 9 am we wandered downstairs and purchased a cup of hot tea and hot coco. After warming up Shay and I made our madman dash thru the dealers room and raided booths like it was no ones Business.
Mel purchased an early x-mas gift for me, - Manga Studio -
I purchased new art binders for myself, Copic markers, the latest issue of the FMA Manga, 2 Art prints from Sue Dawe (whom I met on Friday), as well as bidded on a piece in the art show. I also got myself another book.... can't say too much about it it's Blythe's birthday gift. :)

During that time I was following Shay around and didn't know it till later that she was stopped by the original artist that use to work on Gundam Fantasy....... >_o had I had known I would have kicked her teeth in. But Mel got a bit shaken that I ran into her .. it's going to take some time to re-assure her that things will be okay again.
After running around on errands, answering dumb questions ("Where's the registration line?" *my thoughts* how they hell did you get this far without a pass)we headed home and proceeded to watch Shaun of the Dead and falling asleep after gorging ourselves on Rice crispy treats.

Geez there's so much to really talk about I'm not sure where to begin first....
I'll do two posts. One for personal and one for Con related stuff....
So on thursday Mel and I got up super early... like at 5:30 and tra-lala'ed to the booth to go wait till things got started. I think I fell asleep at some point while sitting at my dad's borrowed laptop (which I won to use in a bet. haha and he said I couldn't read HP7 before monday.) 9 am rolled around and we pattered to the art auction. There I hung up 11 prints for sale. A Mix of Fanart and Original work.
During the day I found time to trot into the room and check on my status. It was sometime that day I noticed that my first piece had sold! An Inu Yasha bust shot chibi print I did for a t-shirt project (that flopped) sold! And the first day wasn't even over!
The Dealers room was HAWT. they had a HUGE Replica of the Black Pearl sitting on the rocks. Lots of beautifully designed booths this year.
Later that night we hooked up with mel's friend Shay and She and I finished off Okami to get all 100 Beads. Which oddly enough you can still drown but you can't get hurt in battle....... sweeet.

Well I beat my old reading record with the Harry Potter books.
I got the book at 12:10ish AM Saturday Morning. Read till 7am woke back up at 12pm finished the book at promptly 5:07pm EST.

Tell me why I should go to work when I can't even find the motivation to go their other then "Idiot you need the money".
I feel like crap and dont want to do anything...... at least today
Tomorrow..... I get to meet my new manager..... hopefully she's cool.... and won't have issues with me taking off next week.
Not like I can undo it anyways... and if they fire me.... oh well I wanted to quit anyways.....
