The following words were spoken by the late Red Skelton on his television program as he related the story of his teacher, Mr. Laswell, who felt his students had come to think of the Pledge of Allegiance as merely something to recite in class each day. Now, more than ever, listen to the meaning of these words. "I've been listening to you boys and girls recite the Pledge of Allegiance all semester and it seems as though it is becoming monotonous to you. If I may, may I recite it and try to explain to you the meaning of each word?" I me, an individual, a committee of one. Pledge dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self pity. Allegiance my love and my devotion. To the flag our standard, Old Glory, a symbol of freedom. Wherever she waves, there's respect because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts freedom is everybody's job! United that means that we have all come together. States individual communities that have united into 48 great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose; all divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose, and that's love for country. And to the republic *a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.* For which it stands, one nation one nation, meaning "so blessed by God" Indivisible incapable of being divided. With liberty which is freedom -- the right of power to live one's own life without threats, fear or some sort of retaliation. And Justice the principle or quality of dealing fairly with others. For all which means, boys and girls, it's as much your country as it is mine. ***~~**~~*** Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country and two words have been added to the pledge of Allegiance... UNDER GOD Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer and that would be eliminated from schools too? just some random pics I took...
UNBELEAVABLE...
So I just got off the phone with a collection agency, about a past due bill from AT&T wireless...The adress they had on file was one I lived at back in 95'...69 welton st new Brunswick nj...so they tell me that the bill is for over $500!...i was like what? no that cannot be I never had a cell phone until I moved to GA in 2001...so all the little details(like they didn't have the ss#) aside, and there are many to prove it was not me...they wanted my new address so they could send me a letter so I could dispute the whole thing...I blew up...I told the lady that it was not my responsibility to fix the issue I said that some one messed up and that they legally have to fix it, not me...the lady kept trying to threaten me and once told me "she was going to put in the file that I refused to her advice". again I blew up...I told her that by law(I quote it is the law you are not responsible to correct a mistake made by a collection agency or one of its clients, if they refuse to fix it then they are liable) that it is not my responsibility to dispute, fix, or otherwise handle the problem,...I told her that if this hit my credit report I was going to sue...she then told me that if I didn't do what she was asking then it will go on my credit...I then asked to speak to a supervisor...I told the supervisor the details including one that not to many people know about, but real easy to prove, I still have my release papers...I also told her that if it hit my credit I was going to pursue legal action ...it is now in dispute with out me having to give my current address and or fill out a letter...Damn was I was angry, all the hard work of putting my life back together threatened by a dumb ass on the phone... FEH
I'm bored and lonely...If I didn't work so much I might have a social life...as it is I go to work at 6 - 6:30ish and get home around 7pm 6 days a week...BLEH...FEH...MEH...three words that describe my mood...good news I was approved for a real credit card today!!! CAPITAL ONE...I wonder what the interest is going to be...slowly working my credit...man I made some bonehead mistakes when I was younger...I want a HOUSE!!!...with a back yard and trees and a fence and grass and...well you get the idea...I'm thinking of getting battlefield 2142... sorry...to clarify
The young lady from yesterday has helped me as a good friend through me dealing with Lisa leaving...she was an employee from my last store...she also happens to be a Muslim...and her family is very conservative...her family just drove her totally bonkers with the whole lack of trust thing...so yeah I will miss her, but I also do not want to cause her undue grief between her and her family...so oh hum... So...
I had A friend, who I thought was going to be a friend of mine for a long time, tell me that due to family and religious issues she can no longer be my friend...oh hum... on a upswing
Work is going well...The house is clean...I need to get a cat...Not much is going on...pretty boring...My divorce will hopefully be final this week YAY!!!... You were the sun that lit up my life... Yay
Im current ly at a seminar for children coping with divorce...funny thing is my son has never lived with me... Here we go again...
Today is a very sad day...About two weeks ago Lisa informed me that she wanted to go back to Indonesia...We had long and involved conversations over that two week period, about her decision...I could not get a straight answer about her sudden choice to end our three year relationship, the whys did not add up...Last night everything went to shit she finally gave back her rings and this morning she walked out of my life...I still do not understand what made her make such a bad choice, I never received a straight answer...Life goes on once more...Starting over sucks...Thanks for listening... I'm gonna give a brief of what has been going down the last 2 months...My brother and his wife came to stay with us for a while, having him here made me realize how much I have missed him...his wife is really cool....quite at times but still a really cool person....Yeah I liked her(2 thumbs up). Got to hang out with too much fun...
