I'm not totally crazy
Mushroom hunting is not simply a matter of traipsing through the woods after it rains. It is an art, a skill, a meditation, and a process.

It has been many moons, good livejournal.

I'm going to write only as long as this song lasts, no more. I like making up limits for myself.

Hahahah, I have nothing to say. العربية is still going well (duh). حبيبتي and I are doing just so also. I hope this satiates all of my future chroniclers who will desperately search through antiquated websites in an attempt to better understand the process behind the man. One can dream.

That's the song. Maybe later.

Tomorrow I write my paper, and tomorrow I've got my Arabic oral presentation and then that's that. Then just a few weeks, a handful of finals, and one more paper, and the perpetual stress of classes gets a break.

I'll be interested to see how it feels to not have to worry about anything the next week. I bet it'll be pretty cool! Oh man. Alright.

I'm telling you all, it's gonna be bad. Another semester or two of Arabic and I'll be hard-pressed to make a livejournal post in English.

.لا أُريدُ الكَلام بِالإِنجليزيّ

Seriously.

In less than three years I will be fluent in Arabic. This is my declaration. I will be capable of expressing myself entirely in Arabic. Glorious.

.حَبيبَتي سَتُحِبُّني أَيضاً, لِأَنَّنا في الحُبّ كَثيراً

Yes, I know that's unrelated. Sue me.

P.S. For those of you who haven't heard I think I'm going to be majoring in Arabic. Ahem.

Every once in a while I pause while I'm doing my Arabic and reflect on the fact that I'm writing/comprehending not only another language, but another alphabet. I ponder briefly if there is anything cooler than that.

"No."

So the Campanile is the clock/bell tower here, right? And every day at 7:50, noon, and 6 a carillonist plays some music on the bells. It's pretty sweet. So today I'm walking out of my geography discussion section, heading to my PACS lecture (at noon) and I hear the bells play a phrase that made the back of my mind itch. I couldn't quite place it. Right before they started playing again, I got it. It was "Hey Jude." Then they started up again and played "Here Comes the Sun." I had to make a brief trip though a building, but when I came out in the courtyard they were playing "Let It Be."

I have never wanted to go to class less than I did at that moment.

I received my first Nigerian bank account scam today! Is it wrong that I'm so excited?

Like seriously, I almost didn't open it. I'm glad I did, though.
