To my friends: You can just ignore this, unless you have some burning desire to see my LiveJournal stamps. I'm doing a little profile tidying up, that's all.

Because I'm bored, here's another round of AMVs. Oh, and the title of this entry? It comes from a parody sub of an episode of D. Gray Man. Along with this quote:
"Heellllooo there Allen-kun!"
"There's a voice in my head!"
"FIND SOME MATCHES."
"Er...it's telling me to burn things."

It's peanut butter jelly time!! )

Can't Sleep...Must Blog

Well, Trinity Blood is done. It's sort of a weight off my chest, but I'm also rather sad it's over. Although I'll probably be back for volume two, because volume two is silly and fun.

Waugh, one part I hate about voice acting, and acting in general, is waiting to find out the results of an audition. Which is currently what I'm doing. I'm more nervous than usual on this one, since the list of people who auditioned is HUGE and filled with some of the most talented people on the VAA. *twitches and checks the board again* I know...I should just go to sleep...but it's hard...

Oh, random topic change. I've been thinking about adapting the webcomic Angel Moxie into a radio play, because Angel Moxie is WIN and LOVE. Seriously. It's a parody of magical girl stories, and the main character breaks her wand like five minutes after she gets it. It's adorable, funny, occasionally serious, and I love it to pieces.

*goes back to twitching*

Dignosed Classic Kurosaki Ichigo

  • Feb. 27th, 2008 at 3:58 PM
he did it, bleach, uryu
I got bored about a week ago and happened to find a Bleach "stamping/rating" community through a profile here on LJ. So I thought, why not? And the proceeded to fill out a profile/application and post it in the comm. And was greeted by an almost overwhelming response of "definitely Ichigo" (for those of you who don't know, other members of the stamping community vote on which character you seem the most like based on the application you posted). There were a couple people who said I reminded them of Urahara, and then there was the person who said they thought I seemed like a mix of Shunsui Kyoraku (8th Squad captain) and Urhara...that made me blink and then giggle...one person even said I was the best Ichigo they'd seen since they joined. Although I'm not too surprised, considering I have a friend who is pretty much a female version of Uryu Ishida. I mean, she's so much like him it's a little scary sometimes. But anyway, we've commented several times that the fact that we're good friends is rather amusing because, aside from sharing some interests, we're basically polar opposites. She's a serious, logical pessimist-realist and I'm a laid back, impulsive optimist...yes, I drive her crazy sometimes. Classic pose for her when we're together: *facepalm* Maggie...

So yeah, now my profile here has a shiny little graphic that says "Stamped as Ichigo", with a picture of the Strawberry on it. Go me. I also did applications for a CLAMP rating community and a Final Fantasy one. At the CLAMP one the votes have been unanimously Fai, which is kind of cool and kind of depressing at the same time (Fai has always reminded me of myself, but I was kind of hoping that it was just me), and at the Final Fantasy one so far it's a mix of Tidus and Irvine (mostly Tidus though).

Nrrgh, being sick has drained all my initiative to work on my radio plays. I only have one, maybe two scenes left to do in Trinity Blood, and I know I should just finish them, but I can't make myself. Maybe once I finish the MMV I'm working on I'll be able to crack down and finish that up. Oh, and the MMV I'm working on? HOMIGOSH SO MUCH LOVE. Normally manga projects are kind of a pain in the butt, but this one is turning out exactly like I imagined it. I also have a Crisis Core vid I need to finish, especially since it got a special mention in a recent Top 5 at KH-Vids.

Apparently being sick has kicked my AMV/MMV muse into overdrive.

Rawr...music problems

Ugh, I still can't decide on what music to use for my Romeo and Juliet project. I'm kind of leaning towards using some David Lanz stuff, but I'm not sure. I guess I'll just finish up Trinity Blood and then figure it out. I'll probably go with David Lanz, since piano music is nice. Although I need something for the dance bit and, as tempting as it is, I don't think I should use "Waltz for the Moon" from Final Fantasy VIII. And once those are done I need to finish the script for the Vision of Escaflowne fandub I'm planning, and I'm probably just going to scout for that cast as opposed to holding auditions. I already know who I want to play Hitomi, I've got some ideas for Amano and Van, and I'll probably just play Yukari myself. Although I still haven't decided if I'm actually going to do that project. I mean, I really want to, but I'm planning on doing Acts 5-8 of Trinity Blood, since people have expressed interest in hearing them, and I've also been itching to do a Black Cat project for a long time now. I just have to decide if I want to do a fandub of the anime, or a radio play version of the manga.

But I need to finish Trinity Blood first. And get volume 5 once I get my car back from the shop/being inspected.

Hooooo, I think I freaked my dad out a little the other night. I was doing a voice acting/audition workshop with a guy from the VAA (for a fandub of the Tsubasa OVA) and my dad came down and just kind of gave me this look. Not a disapproving look, more of a "ooookay" sort of look. Although I suppose any father would be a little worried about his daughter staying up most of the night talking to some guy who lives on the other side of the country. But he's a very nice guy, and I really learned a lot from workshopping my auditions. I feel so much more confident in my voice acting now. ^0^

Oki-do, I should go finish my Trinity Blood radio play...and I totally just got hit with inspiration for a Trinity Blood MMV. Yayness!

New Icons and Stuff

tyki, noah
Decided it was time to replace some of my icons, since they were getting rather old. And anyways, how could I resist this Tyki one? The best part is, he wears that expression for most of D. Gray Man.

Fanduby dub! I putting this here because A) this guy does an eerily accurate imitation of Quinten Flynn and Crispin Freeman's voices, not to mention his awesome Zack, and he has crazy mixing skills and B) it amuses me that I hardly recognize my own voice.

Ffwaaahhh, if this is what I feel like after riding after a two week break, I don't even want to think about what it'll be like after a month or so. Which is what I'm going to have to do when I start school again. Well, it's actually not so bad, since I had a pretty light lesson today, but still, I could tell I hadn't ridden in awhile.

LOVE AND PEEEACCEEEE!!!

I've been on something of a Trigun kick lately, which will probably involve rewatching the series soon. I've also been listening to a lot of radio plays online, not only because I enjoy audio theatre but also because I'm trying to improve my own mixing and script writing. The ones I'm currently listening to are "The Falcon Banner", which is AWESOME. It's like a mix of Star Wars/Firefly/Cowboy Bebop/Battlestar Galatica, which warms my geeky heart to no end. Elias is so adorably funny. If I had a better idea of what he looked like, I would so be drawing the scene where he tells Darien that he can't sleep, while all wrapped up in a blanket. One of many "d'awwwwwww" moments he has.

I've also been listening to "Dies Irae", which is a fantasy series I found through the VAA. There's only two episodes out, but so far it's very good. Although I have to say my favorite of the series I'm currently listening to is the Doctor Who one. Because a) it's really good and b) it's DOCTOR WHO. Honestly, what more needs to be said? I love the fact that the main villain's are vampires who want to become the new lords of time and space.

I'm also really looking forward to hearing the finished version of a Gundam radio play I'm in. The script's great, and I love the characters. Especially mine, and it's not just because I play her. :D I mean, she's completely smashed when you first meet her, which was interesting for me to do since I've never been drunk myself. And I'm really excited to get the script for the FFX project I'm in (I'm playing Paine and a friend of mine from the VAA is playing Yuna).

As for my Trinity Blood project, Act 2 is finally done (ugh), and Act 3 is almost finished. So that leaves one more scene in Act 3, and then Act 4 before I'm completely done. It'll be nice when this is all done. I love working on it, and so far everyone who's heard it has really liked it, but still, I'll be glad when it's done. My little Romeo and Juliet project should be less stressful, since I'm not doing the whole play, and the scenes I'm doing are happy scenes.

And on that note, I think I'm going to go finish up Act 3 and start working on Act 4.

Oh Life, you and your crazy ironies

francisco, perfect, romeo x juliet
I almost crashed into a cemetery on the way home from church this morning because the snow was so bad. And even though it just about scared the living daylights out of me, the irony of the situation was not lost on me. Yeah, my car doesn't handle snow very well...just another reason I can't wait to get to Florida.

On a happier note, I went to upload a video to KH-Vids this morning before church and found that my most recent video had made it into the Top 5 for the week. Actually, it was the winner. Crazy. XD Although that video is fairly popular on my YouTube channel, so I guess it's not that surprising, but it still made my morning. And reminded me that I have a Kingdom Hearts vid to finish up (gah, Nightwish your music drives me crazy...). Although the song I'm using for it (I Wish I Had An Angel) isn't as crazy as some of their other stuff. I once tried to make an AMV to "Wanderlust". Bad idea. Anyway, the KH-Vids list is here.

And in other news, I've been listening to "Houki Boshi", the third Bleach ending, almost non-stop recently. This is partly because it's just an awesome song and every time I listen to it I feel like I have to dance around in my seat, and partly because I have to learn it for the online cover group I'm in. I actually already knew some of it, since I tried to learn it back when I was first teaching myself to sing in Japanese (didn't work so well that time), and while I do plan on learning all of it because I want to cover it myself, at least for now I can really just focus on the parts I'll be singing. It was chosen as our "Generation Song", and I think it's a good choice for Generation One because from what I've "seen" of the others through the forum, they all seem to be great, fun loving people.

I feel like there was something else I was going to say. Meh, I'll probably remember it in a few hours, or at three in the morning. I should really go work on finishing my radio play. Now that I have the rest of Laura's lines, I can finish Act 2 which shouldn't take too long. It's the shortest act after all. I also have the first part of Act 3 mixed and, IMO, it sounds awesome. The levels sound better, and it probably helps that it's a really great/intense sequence of scenes. And once again I'm bowled over by how amazing my three main guys (Abel, Gyula, and Dietrich) are. I guess I'm not so worried about sounding flat next to them now, since people apparently like me as Esther. And Esther's supposed to be sort of the level headed voice of reason, especially in later volumes of Trinity Blood, so it's all good. I just wish I could do the scene where Esther head butts Abel when he starts to get all angsty. Although I have no idea how I'd portray Abel log rolling over to her in an audio production...but it was still probably one of the most beautifully random things I've ever seen in Trinity Blood.

Okay, I'm off! Catch you kids later.

Birfday

Today's my birthday...and I'm no longer a teenager...this is a frightening thought. Also, one of my friends thinks I should meet my Zack this year, since Aerith and Zack met about two years before Final Fantasy VII. I hope he's right. After all, I've already got so much in common with Aerith it's kind of creepy.

I've also been told that if a good looking guy with spikey blond hair falls through my roof, I am not to befriend him. Instead I'm supposed to yell at him and kick him out, thus avoiding a horrible death at the hands of his arch nemesis. The only glitch in that plan is the fact that I'm a little too nice to do that.

Three Parts in Two Days

Yeah, I found out about three new roles I've been cast in in the past two days. Which is crazy and kind of blows my mind. And one's in a fandub of the Phantom of the Opera movie. *squee* I'm doing the voice of Meg Giry, and while it isn't Christine, it's still a part I like. The other two parts I found out about are Biggs in another Final Fantasy VIII dub, and Paine in a FFX radio play. I love how three of the projects I'm currently involved in are FFVIII projects (two dubs and one radio play), and I'm playing Edea in two of them. Kinda makes me think I should have auditioned for Edea in the dub I'm playing Biggs in after all. Oh well, I think I'm going to enjoy playing Biggs. Oooh, I need to record those Tifa lines for that Dirge of Cerberus thing...man, just when I thought I'd have some time to audition for some new projects BAM I get hit with another load of new parts. Not that I'm complaining really. >3 Actually, there are a couple projects I really want to audition for so I'll probably try to make time.

I've started to notice a trend in the characters I'm cast as. For the most part I seem to be cast as mature, motherly and/or tough characters. The exceptions to this being Kero from Card Captor Sakura (I'm still shocked I actually got that part in Crossover Elimination), Hanako from Disgaea 2, and Meg Giry. Esther's also a little different from what I normally play, although I don't really count that part since it was a self cast.

Speaking of Trinity Blood, HOOHMIGOSH I LOVE ABEL'S VOICE IN MY RADIO PLAY. I never thought anyone would replace Troy Baker's voice when I read the manga, but I think this guy did. I mean, I still love how Troy Baker played Abel in the anime, but now I have a whole new set of voices to imagine when I read the manga and the novels. Especially for Abel and Dietrich. Man, Dietrich's VA did what I thought was impossible. He made me like Dietrich. I mean, I still want to throttle Dietrich because he's such a bastard, but now he's definitely one of my favorite characters. Oooo, now I can't wait to get started on Act 2. Especially since some of my favorite scenes are in Act 2. Like the pep talk...just thinking about that scene makes me giggle.

Non sequitor: WHY ISN'T IT MARCH 25TH YET?!? Guuuhhhh, I want my Crisis Core....I also need to dig out that Final Fantasy VIII in 30 seconds thing Leanna wrote again. Because I really want to do a project with it. Because it's high-larious. Maybe once Trinity Blood is finished.

AMV Time Again

  • Jan. 30th, 2008 at 10:11 PM
he did it, bleach, uryu
I should make this a monthly thing. Or maybe even every other week. Hmmm...it'd be something to do. Since I'm really no good at blogging.

On with the AMVs!

You know how every now and then you find one of those disgustingly sweet AMVs? Yeah, this is one of them, even if I don't understand the lyrics (me no speaky Chinese). The anime is Romeo x Juliet, which is awesome, even if it didn't always follow the play.

Just...just watch the AMV.

The most ridiculously amazing Aerith tribute I've ever seen. Which reminds me, I need to finish my Aerith tribute...

The whole Van=Christian thing is only one of the reasons this AMV is made of win and awesome. And since the crazy Emperor guy has more of the Duke's role than Allen, it's all good. *lurves Allen and his poofy sleeves*

This is the PERFECT song for the Noah's/Akuma from D. Gray Man.

This one isn't finished, since the third part of Tokyo Revelations isn't out yet, but it already rocks.

Because everyone who likes Death Note and knows how it ends should see this.

Man, I keep forgetting how intense Tokyo Revelations is. I actually had to look away from my computer screen while watching the second part. This kind of confused me, since although I may not like blood and violence, I can usually watch it okay in movies. Then I realized it's because I hate seeing Syaoran change like that, and even more I hate seeing him hurt Fai. I guess in a way it gave me an idea of what it would be like to have my greatest fear come true: being unable to help the people I care about when something happens to them. And if that is was it feels like, it's a scary feeling and I hope I never have to feel it in real life.
shigure, fruits basket
So, I finished watching Vision of Escaflowne today. I enjoyed it, even if it was somewhat cliche and predictable. And reminded me of my own relationship problems, probably because both the male leads reminded me of the only guys I've ever really had "feelings" for. I'm such an idiot sometimes. The one I've had feelings for since the summer before our freshman year of high school. But he's got a girlfriend...and she's one of my closet friends. They've been together for several years now, and I'm happy for them, I guess. It just hurts sometimes. Maybe it's best that we aren't spending much time together anymore, now that we're out of high school. And the other guy...I really don't know what to think. Sometimes he's so sweet and sincere and looks at me in a way that gives me butterflies. Then the next minute he's acting like a complete goof ball, not taking anything seriously, and I'm hearing about how he's sooo infatuated with this girl he met at college. But being with him feels right somehow...good LORD that was corny. I need to go watch Reduced Shakespeare or work on a AMV or something.

Or maybe I should work on my cosplay:
Photobucket

I'm in the middle of putting the furry trim on Moby Dick there right now, and then I need to finish up the jacket/shirt thing. But the fact that I actually look vaguely Fai like with the wig and eyepatch and everything makes me very, very happy. And I'll be happy once I learn how to walk around in that thing without hurting myself. I definitely want to make his Infinity/Human Chess costume some day soon. Because it's hot. But it would probably be helpful to have a group for that, so it'd be slightly more recognizable. And that way I wouldn't look like the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man, which was my mom's reaction when I put that coat on for the first time. But it's so soft and fuzzy (it's made from antipil fleece). Oo, I need to remember to go out and buy some hair extension thingies tomorrow, because the wig isn't quite long enough.

By the way, sorry for the angst rant. I try to avoid doing that. Okay, I go do productive things now.
