Hate this meme like I do!! [30 Jul 2006|04:46am]
(Click here to post your own answers for this meme.)

I miss somebody right now.  (My family is 2,000 miles away and my bf can be distant sometimes. :() I don't watch much TV these days.  (TV's pretty crappy. I *have* been watching Stephen King's Nightmares and Dreamscapes.) I own lots of books.  (Not as many as I had at one time; I have to reduce from time to time so there's floor space to walk around on.)
× I wear glasses or contact lenses.  (Nope.) I love to play video games.  (But I'm not as good at the newer ones. I'm approaching geezerhood.) I've tried marijuana.  (Gave it up long ago. Made me act stupid.)
I've watched porn movies.  (Man, why am I filling this out at work?) I have been the psycho-ex in a past relationship.  (People grieve over loss. Duh.) I believe honesty is usually the best policy.  (Snowballs. Or just breeds resentment.)
I curse sometimes.  (Sometimes?) × I have changed a lot mentally over the last year.  (Nope.) × I carry my knife/razor everywhere with me.  (I probably should start.)
it goes on... )

Hope everybody's well. :D

Hi friends. Just popping in in an emotional moment to say I'm very confused. I'm often manic from ideas of what wonderful things could happen for me or of what wonderful things I could visit upon someone else. These days I'm always hurting someone though. Or I'm always about to. And of course I mean the boyfriend/ex-boyfriend/once-and-future boyfriend. And yes, I've been talking to him again. And yes, we're talking about getting back together again. Might as well say we're back together, although I won't live there again. Anyway. I get what I deserve, I'm sure. Thanks for reading.

Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!!!!! [16 Dec 2005|11:51pm]
Okay, I know it's not the first time, but They Might Be Giants has leaked into the mainstream again. I never get tired of them doing that!

I'm flipping through the January issue of Shape Magazine, with stupid Sheryl Crow on the cover, and what is on page 26??? Well, I'll tell you. There's an ad for something called "Drive+Play," which has something to do with "giving you all of the music-browsing capability of your iPod without" somethingsomethingsomething. I don't really care about any of that, but the little screen on the "Drive+Play" thingy says,

Now Playing
Robot Parade
They Might Be Giants

Haha! *easily amused*

Was just watching Dane Cook on Saturday Night Live. That guy is *so* *funny*! And the crowd seems to be strikingly *with* him everytime I see him. It always seems to be something unabashedly sex-positive that gets people ready to follow him out into the street with their torches. Or are they just caught up in his comedic rock stardom?

Sexual Themes and Disturbing Stuff; Proceed at Your Own Risk. [20 Oct 2005|01:09pm]
I had a really terrible dream Tuesday morning. It started out looking like it would be a sexy dream, but it turned fucking awful right away.

I was in some lush jungle and the first thing I saw was this sexy, naked woman in a playboy type pose--she was lying on her back with her knees pulled up to expose her--um--undercarriage and she had some kind of vulva piercing or something. There was a slender gold chain strung sort of vertically from somewhere up high to somewhere down low--you know--*there*. (Yes, I'm squeamish about describing this, even to people who I know are pretty accepting.) The pose was pretty but the overall scene wasn't my kind of thing. I'm not really into vaginal piercings or into focusing on the pubic areas in men or women. But then...!

Then! The scene shifts to another woman, lying on her side, struggling--I'm not sure how quickly it became obvious what she was struggling with. What was going on, I figure, is impossible, unless some really intricate fiber optics were put into play. Maybe. Anyway, the woman was gagging. She had something sticking out of her mouth that looked like a plastic tube with a wider tube, maybe some kind of handle, on the end of it. It reminded me of a jump rope for little kids. She was trying to cough this thing up. There was something worse, though.

The other, identical end of the thing was coming out of, I guess, her private parts. When it seemed like she was going to finally get over her gagging, someone/something (I don't remember seeing anyone; maybe I saw an anonymous hand??) would viciously yank the end that was coming out of her vagina and she would start gagging again. It was horrible. Horrible. :(

Oh... [16 Oct 2005|04:33am]
While waiting for Tommy to get done at the doctor's office on Friday, I went to King Music and Pawn and laid away an Epiphone acoustic guitar. Yayyy. It'll be very nice to have a playable guitar again. :)

P.S.--I used to think Epiphone was pronounced like epiphany. Honest. :)

He's Nannergo's kitty. He's handsome and can type.
  2. broadcasting:
Have worked in radio since I was 16 or so. Really like it. Will never get rich at it.
  3. creativity:
It's incredibly elusive for me. Probably just because I'm so lazy. Would love to be writing some riveting fiction.
  4. film:
An extension of the interest in creativity. I just love a great story.
  5. fitness:
Have actually been working out again recently and think it's starting to pay off a bit.
  6. music:
Adore music. Have adored it since I was a baby. My dad used to sing to me/with me when I was little. Singing and listening to songs may be the most enjoyable thing I ever actually get around to doing.
  7. radio:
See broadcasting. I do love to listen to radio when I'm not working in it. Mostly NPR and college radio.
  8. relationships:
Have one. Want a different one. Want to be really happy in at least one.
  9. sci-fi:
A lot of things we take for granted used to *be* merely sci-fi.
  10. television:
I love good television. There's not enough of it. Have been watching Lost lately. It's not bad. It occured to me that the people who created it must have been X-Files fans.

Yes. I'm crushing again. Anything I can say about it makes it meaningless, yes? Maybe only because there is so little to say about it.

Tommy was loopy on something again last night. Don't know what. When I got home this morning, the house was a mess. Looks like he tripped over the coffee table and knocked everything off. There was a plate of leftover food sitting on the floor between the couch and the recliner too. All the velcro cushions were ripped off the recliner. Don't know what any of that was about.

The weirdest thing is that he said (last night on the phone) that he had driven to Walmart and, on the way, had seen someone lying on the side of the road. He says he stopped to see if they needed help and that it was a girl who said a "bunch of n*****s had beaten her ass." She wanted to call the cops, Tommy says, but he said, "Oh no, don't do that, I don't want to talk to the law." So, he says, he brought her to our house and let her get cleaned up and then took her to some friends' house.

Now, my bf is pretty dumb and pretty suspect, but this story is dumber and more suspect than the usual. He's actually yelling about my doubting him by the kitchen sink while I'm typing this. It's really fucked up.

Somefing to tell you... [12 Sep 2005|03:32am]

Hi friends. I have started another journal! It's a food journal, to make me eat--um--to make me exercise a little more restraint in my eating. Feel free to add it to your friends list if you want. I haven't given up on the idea that people can be worthy, looking any way they want to look. But I want to look a different way if I can...and to feel better too. More and more, I've noticed numbness in my hands, arms and feet, as well as aching in my legs. I'm not exactly sure what qualifies as diabetic neuropathy, but I'm starting to worry that I could come down with diabetes if I don't have it already. The journal is here.

hahah! [08 Sep 2005|06:01am]
Outcast Genius
69 % Nerd, 69% Geek, 69% Dork
For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in all three, earning you the title of: Outcast Genius.

Outcast geniuses usually are bright enough to understand what society wants of them, and they just don't care! They are highly intelligent and passionate about the things they know are *truly* important in the world. Typically, this does not include sports, cars or make-up, but it can on occassion (and if it does then they know more than all of their friends combined in that subject).

Outcast geniuses can be very lonely, due to their being outcast from most normal groups and too smart for the room among many other types of dorks and geeks, but they can also be the types to eventually rule the world, ala Bill Gates, the prototypical Outcast Genius.

Congratulations!
