Family gathered here at the house today. We had an exceptional time! Way more than was expected in the way of gifts were exchanged and I think everyone went home happy! Dinner was simple, just honey ham and potato salad along with lemon meringue pie for dessert! Again, happy faces from one end of the table to the other! YAY!

And now.....we crash! But.....FIRST!

Yes, my friends, it's that time of year again! It's JC Chasez's birthday! Now, I know that my invitation to his birthday party got lost in the damn world of snail mail, so I just decided to throw him a little party of my own right here in LJ! So, sit back, click the cut if you dare, and prepare to feast your eyes on the birthday boy! To paraphrase him in the Chili's commercial where he immitates the Crocodile Hunter..."Gorgeous, isn't he?"

While he may be one of those men who is so easy on the eyes, he's also an incredible talent! He has a gift of expressing himself in a way most of us can only marvel at! He's been making music like no one else, and that's what makes him so endearing! He doesn't have to fit the mold, he's unique! He shares himself from his very soul! He's an incredible talent who I cannot wait to hear more from!

And thus begins this wonderful day of August 8, 2007! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JC!

I wanted to share with you that my friend's grandfather HAS BEEN FOUND!!!!! We are all so relieved. Fortunately, he was only somewhat disoriented, but well. It seems that just as a local policeman was being handed a flyer about the missing man, a car matching the description of his car drove by. Immediately, the observant officer called into the station and quickly alerted nearby officers. They managed to surround him and pull him over. He hadn't eaten in over 24 hours, had been afraid to stop and ask someone for the change to make a phone call, and seemed to utter some things that didn't make much sense. The family took him to the local hospital to have him checked out and authorities have suggested that he may have the early stages of either dimentia or alzheimer's. I'm sure more tests will follow.

This is out of the norm for me, but a very good family friend has asked me for some help and reaching out to my internet friends is about the only thing I can do for her! Her grandfather is missing! There is a very real possibility that he could be anywhere from Michigan to Florida. He's very elderly and possibly in the early stages of either alzheimer's or dementia. He went to the local K-Mart yesterday morning around 9:00 am and has not been seen or heard from since. Below is a description of him and the car he was driving. Behind the cut are two pix! If, by whatever slim chance there is, you have seen him or someone you know has seen him, please, call the police number at the bottom of the description! Thank you so much!

It has been an incredibly busy day! Lots of running around! And some extra sweet surprises from the hubby! The man totally surprised me and took me to Somerset Mall and had me visit the Tiffany & Company store! *THUD* :)

When we got home, I was very anxious to see what was happening over at the Sureshot forum, and I have to tell you, it's so much fun! I'm meeting new people as well as seeing old friends! It's so much fun! I've tried forums before without very good luck. But, I think this one might just click for me! Here's hoping! If you haven't checked it out yet, go to Sureshot's forum and see for yourself!

While checking out MySpace, I was very surprised to see a bulletin from Joey, saying "I'VE GOT SHIRTS". So, of course, I clicked on it and sure as shootin', the man has joined forces with Cafe Press to create t-shirts with cute sayings! If you're curious, like I was, Click on this link to look around. I'd say it's really early, because right now I only see one t-shirt! But, it really looks like it's going to be full of fun sayings on the shirts! We all know Joey and his passion for t-shirts! :)

Okay, well, it's nearly 9:00 and we still have not had our dinner, so I'm going to go and find some food! I hope everyone has had a great Sunday! :)

Okay, we all know how the rumors are flying around rampant that JC's sophomore album, "Kate", might not get released, right? And there have been lots of people out there trying to come up with some idea of how to let Jive know, friendly and all, that we really want the album! Well, brighton_girl has an idea. I think probably one of the neatest ideas I've heard of since the fans of "Jericho" sent in all the peanuts to save their show. It's a "sweet" idea, I don't mind saying! lol So, please, if you're like me and want "Kate" to be released, go to her LJ and take her poll! Leave her a comment! Take action! We have to find a way to let Jive know, WE WANT "KATE"!
