[ Saturday
Jul 5th 2008]
all is going well here.

yesterday was a good holiday. i was actually free from work

the whole family went shopping. in truth it felt a little weird to all be out doing something together again.  i didn't think that sort of thing happened once most the kids moved out and your parents retired.
at any rate we went to OKC and bought a few new things.  then we went to Sarahs house and hung about at the 4th o July block party.  the kids started fireworks early in broad daylight and i ate cantelope
there's nothing like the smell of fireworks and sweet summer fruit.

finally after our fill of blowing things up at the moyer's house we headed home and i came back to chickasha.

i was exhausted but at the same time very at peace.
with pretty much life in general.

well i'm off to get myself and my house ready for austin's company.  we're going to watch spongebob the movie and then go to the park to hang out with cassiopia and orion.  hope the mosquitos leave us alone.

its been a while [ Wednesday

But I'm relishing the thought of starting to update some what regularly again.
so here's what I'm up to.

I'm halfway through the summer 2008  tri.  Tomorrow is my PEST midterm and I should be studying for it right now.  But instead I'm listening to Boards of Canada and smoking coffee molasses tobacco with Lola.
Lola is my lovely hookah.  Her full name is Ms Blackie Loletta Kyle Catarina Marie.  She's a classy girl.

I'm nearly recovered from my shoulder surgery.  Last night I met Shayla for her birthday and walked around Bricktown without my sling.  It was liberating.  And my passion for Bricktown remains after all these years.  I've developed a pride and love in my home I never thought would exist.

Todd comes home in less than a week.  It's very exciting.  Oh the adventures we'll have when he comes home.

I've reached a major crossroads in life.  College is more daunting than ever now that I'm 2 and half years into it.  Different degrees keep calling my attention and if I ever graduate it will probably be about 10 years from now with 800 degrees.  Anthropology is my new craze.  But it's really not SO new when I think about it.  I've always been interested in the subject.  Film school still beckons me, but I wonder if it should be a post grad school ambition.  I would like to double major in Fine Arts and Anthropology right now.  And the minors I'm working on are English, Business, and Liberal Arts.  I think acquiring all those would provide a well rounded insight to the world so that my writing and directing of people/characters in film would be unparalleled.
My decisions are unsure but I have faith in my wayward journey.  I'll get to where I'm going as I figure out where that is.
