    Happy Halloween and Merry Christmas!
    Happy Halloween everyone!
I hope that you had a safe and fun Devil's night :)

Today is Halloween and tomorrow is All Saints Day.. also the first day of November. Soon
Christmas will be here. I had to to run to the store to get some paper towels and
carpet cleaner this morning and all of the Halloween stuff is on sale.
    The Christmas stuff
has already taken over an aisle. I guess it's never too early to start marketing those little chocolate
balls (I forget what they're called, but there's 2 words.. Frere Rochere or something like that)in a shape of
a Christmas tree. And that's exactly what is going on.
I'm sure the malls and Wal-Mart are thinking much the same thing. Time for X-Mas!

I was doing some research on places to visit during the Christmas holidays. There are a lot of places to consider. One time that we traveled, we booked our vacation at http://www.expedia.com
I think the prices there are fair enough, but if you spent some shopping around a bit you could find cheaper
prices. I was considering going to Jamaica, because this Luminous Lagoon sounds like a cool place to go and visit. I have never saw water glow in the dark before! That must be one of those
things you only see in a few places in the world.

I love to see things like that.

    Making more money.
I have decided that I really need to make some more money.

A lot of the things that I like are funded by having money.
I looked around the internet to find some ways to drum up more cash, and decided a great way to make more would be getting into trading Forex .

Investing is something I've always been interested in, but have shyed away from for one reason or another.
Not anymore! I'm going to go the library and borrow a few books to learn how to turn some money on the stock market.

I will let you know how things go!

    Time changes
Funny that I was just talking about the time change.
    It happens tonight/ tomorrow morning.

    That's cool.

An extra hour of sleep is a good thing.
It won't be quite so dark in the morning and waking up
at 6 will get a little easier.
    8:00 am
    Good Morning
Man, my eyelids are feeling heavy this morning.
I can hardly wait until time changes because it is so dark first thing in the morning.
I woke up at 7, about an hour later than usual. It isn't really a big deal, but I feel better if I wake up at
    6. I can't blame a hangover for it..

I am going back to the dojo after a month or so break, so that should be good. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the class. I've found that the more you miss, the harder it is to go back. Our Sensei just went to Japan for a Tai-kai, so maybe he'll do some talking and class won't be so brutal? It starts at 10, so we'll find out soon.

I was looking around for some internet communities to join and found this nice Gadget Forum I've only been lurking, but I think I might join there. Seems like people are pretty nice there. Not quite as hard as a karate class!

Wish me luck for the impending class..I'm gonna need it!

    Happy Halloween Weekend
I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween weekend. It's Friday, so the Halloween celebrations
will be going on everywhere for the next couple of days.

Today is starting off rainy and I'm drinking some Green tea to help calm my scratchy throat. I was feeling lazy and didn't get out of bed until about 6:30 (Normally I'm up at at 6AM) But hey it's a holiday! I'm sure that a lot of people are going to be cutting out of work early or not even going, so sleeping in is hardly a crime. :)

I was reading that Halloween was a multi billion dollar industry. The only one bigger is Christmas and that is easy to understand. There are about 4 seasonal Halloween shops that are open here, all of them are pretty big in size, but they'll be closing soon after this weekend is over. I'm guessing that average ticket prices are about 100.00, maybe more if you really get decked out.

There is no Halloween costume for me though.. I'll just be myself :)

    Thinking about Ringtones
I love when my cell phone rings. I have the best ringtone Verizon has to offer. The theme song from "Friday the 13th"

Every time someone dials me up I get creeped out! I'm thinking that after Halloween is over I will have to change it to a holiday song of some sort.. or, maybe not..

I will let you know what ringtone I choose next!

    Debt and Credit Consolidation
I was giving this topic some thought today.
So you don't have a rich uncle to save you from your credit card debt? Be assured that you are not alone with this feeling. One of the most imporatant things to do if you are having financial problems is to not not dig yourself in to a deeper hole.

There are a few options that you should consider. Recently bankruptcy laws have changed, so
    filing bankruptcy
should be a last resort to fixing your credit problems. With the new laws in place consumers are still going to be liable for credit card debt that they have ran up.

A consideration for some would be to combine credit
    debt
onto one card with a lower interest rate. This is normally not a bad idea to decrease your higher interest credit card bills, but you'll want to take special care not to use the credit card that you have paid off with another one. I would suggest destroying the credit card after you do a balance transfer to avoid the temptation of running up another high balance.

Debt Counseling is another method that people use to help fix their cash flow. Debt counselors will contact
your creditors and negotiate an agreement to pay your debt, normally at reduced payments. A reputable Credit counseling service does this at no or very little cost to the consumer.

Debt is one of the biggest problems facing consumers today. The best way to deal with it is by finding
an effective method to come out from underneath it.

    Crazy uncles
    Everyones got one.

Crazy uncles come in all shapes and sizes. Which crazy uncle do you have?

1.Egotist Uncle. This guy never shuts up. Everything is about him or something that he's done. There are
no guys out there that can even compare to this guys accomplishments.
    2. Rich Uncle. This guy has lots of money. He may or may not have the traits of Egotist uncle. This doesn't take away the fact that he's rich.
    3. Generous Uncle. This uncle is always happy to spread happiness around.
    4. Cool Uncle. A cool uncle might only be a few years older than you. He is the uncle you always look forward to seeing. He might be a partier, a businessman, or an entrepreneur. He doesn't hold a grudge and is never a bother.
    5. Angry Uncle. This uncle is always angry and feels that the world (or you) is out to get him. Don't be shocked to receive an EMail from him listing all the reasons he is angry at you, this sort of uncle is best avoided.

    And last but not least..
    6. Dirty Uncle. Need I say more?

If your family is like most out there, you are sure to have a crazy uncle all your own. If you're lucky, you have one of each.

    Out of Shape
I'm sick of being out of shape. I decided today that the only thing left for me to do is shape up.
That means I'm going to have to exercise and look for some Herbal Diet Pills to help curb my appetite and give me more energy.
I guess today is a great day to start getting in shape.

    Planning for Retirement
One thing I've been thinking a lot about lately is planning for my retirement.
God knows that no one wants to work when they are 80. Especially not me.

It's sort of confusing because there are so many different types of retirement plans out there, how do you know which one is best?

I know that a savings account is one very basic way to tuck some money away for a rainy day, but the interest on savings accounts is so low you don't get much of a return.

I'm going to look around and see what other information I can find about retiring smart. I will be sure to post up some info if I find anything noteworthy.

    Days are shorter.
You can tell that the seasons are changing. Days are getting a lot shorter. It is 7:30 AM EST and it is still dark out. It gets dark now at about 6:30 PM, too. It makes the long days of summer a blessing.

I guess short days happen no matter where you live, because when we went to the Bahamas a couple of years ago (during winter) the days were short there, too. It was just warmer.
We stayed at the Sandals all inclusive resort and had a really good time. I can still picture the beautiful waters there. There are no streams or rivers on the island, so there is no runoff filled with dirt and sediment to taint it. The first night we were there, we walked out on the dock and there was a really cool neon fish that was about 5 inches long, and you could see all the way to the bottom (something that doesn't happen in Lake Erie)
The beach there was sort of small, but they kept it clean. I picked up a small assortment of sea shells to bring home. I can hardle wait to get back there!

If you are considering going on a Beach vacation
I highly recommend it. There is nothing like the feeling of waking up to the sound of waves kissing the shore and not cats meowing at your door.

    Monday
Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
I have to get my body back in motion, so tonight I'm going back to my martial arts class.. it will be the first one I've gone to in over a month. I'm sure it will be harder than I remember it being before I quit going, so that is something to look forward to.
The mind is truly a funny thing. And the saying a "body in motion tends to stay in motion, a body at rest tends to stay at rest" rings painfully true. I haven't stepped on the scale to either A) Confirm or B) Deny
that I 've put on some weight.
The only thing to realistically do is just get moving, quit whining and woman up. I can do this for sure. No excuses!

    Updating my home network
I have been giving a lot of thought to upgrading my home network into a Wireless network just because then I can use my laptop computer anywhere in the house.
It is sort of a drag to only be able to surf the internet at my computer desk, and with so many wireless options out there, you don't have to be stuck at any desk, really.

I will have to take a look out there and see what wireless networking equipment is running these days and get it done!

    Harvest Time
I always love this time of the year.
The crisp, fresh fall air is great when you sit around a blazing campfire.
Add some fixings for Smores and you're good to go.

One of my favorite places to go and enjoy a campfire is <a href="http://www.nlqp.com> Nelson Ledges</a> in Nelson, Ohio. They have great entertainment there on most weekends and you can even learn to scuba dive in the summertime. They have a big party there to close down the campgrounds October 28th-30th. Sounds like an excellent time!

    Great day!
Had a really great day today in Cleveland. I ended up getting a haircut that I needed badly.
It was like summer today, with the temps close to 80 degrees, some people are still wearing shorts.

I decided to look for some information on the Cleveland Clinic Diet. because I also came to the conclusion I could stand to lose about 20 pounds once and for all. I don't want to have to buy an entirely new winter wardrobe just because nothing fits me anymore.

    Friday!
Today I am planning on spending the day in Cleveland, Ohio It is an excellent city with lots of great shopping and things to do.
It is starting to look like fall, with brilliant reds and yellows painting the landscapes all around, and the lakefront is especially picturesque.

Just thought I'd share my plans for today.

    First Post
Thought I'd start a blog today to talk about whatever comes to mind while I'm typing.
I might write a little poetry if I'm in the mood, maybe a rant..

Todays topic is about an onry orange cat that insists on waking everyone up at 3:10 AM every day. Don't know why. The sad part? We just paid 500.00 to save him from dying because he couldn't pee!
We could have not saved him, kept the money AND slept through the night. The 7 days he was at the vet were the best nights sleep both of us have had in a while. Right before he fell ill, we were talking about having to take a vacation just to get some rest.

It is now 6:48 AM and he's as quiet as a church mouse. I am unsure of what drives him nuts in the middle of the night, but it isn't cool.

It just proves that he's back to being his regular pain in the a$$ self.
