Note to self: no more caffeine after 4pm. I invariably wind up being awake until 2 or 3 in the morning at the very least.

My throat is also a little dry and scratchy this morning.

WHY IS SUCH A SMALL ORGAN FILLED WITH SUCH HATE??

My uterus is trying to kill me. Srsly. I SAW HOW TINY ONE IS AT BODYWORLDS, HOW COULD IT POSSIBLY FIND THE WILL TO HATE ANYONE THIS MUCH?

I was just thinking that my elbow hurts so much. That I have to stop sitting in this damn chair when I type. (I can't use the one I bought at Ikea, because it conducts static electricity REALLY WELL and my computer randomly reboots more when I use it) And then remembered that I whacked it good on the door when I got home and let Guido outside. Woo.

Then, I decided to go downstairs and get a drink. I must've been sliding my feet around more, because they slipped, and I fell down the stairs. I mostly kinda slid down five or so steps on my ass and I think I pushed my arm down near the top of the fall. I also declared OW! and Debbie and Allan rushed over to make sure I wasn't dead. I'll probably be sore tomorrow. YAY.

Sunday: Went to Capital Ex with my mum, and my sister and some friends. They pretty much rode rides all day, Mum and I managed to stay indoors and avoid the 32C humid heat XD At first I didn't think that we could possibly be there as long as we were planning to, but we did. Got there at noon, left after 10pm. We saw Kita no Taiko, the hypnotist twice, and a show called the Birdhouse Factory by Cirque Mechanics, which was really really good. (I still want to run away and join the circus.) I ate a delicious chicken curry, mini donuts, and pineapple ice cream. I bought a neat hair-removal product, a pretty (and pricey) wrap dress, and Miracle Shammiez (or whatever, which may or may not be ShammWow, and I really didn't need it, but the demo is just so convincing! Oh, if only I'd had it when all those melted slurpees got spilt on my old carpet...)

Monday: uneventful, except for Dzianna recognizing my hair (?) and watching an INCREDIBLE lightning storm far north of us.

Yesterday: Dzianna was in town with Greg, so we went to the Waterpark. We got water up our noses a LOT. Greg caught some serious air on one of the slides. We decided at 1:30 that we were done, and went for lunch. Then we went to Body Worlds at the science center. It was totally weird and cool at the same time. At first it didn't look like real body parts, but the further you go in, the more it sank in. It was also educational. I didn't know where a person's spleen was, or what it did, but now I do. The baby part of it also almost made me want to have children @_@ It was incredible to see an embryo at 8 weeks that already had fingers. Then we had ice cream and they went home.

After I got home, Allan and Ryan and I went to Taste of Edmonton. We'd never been before and it was the only night I had free :D It was pretty neat, I guess. We tried Wasabi Beef on a Bun, Banana Curry Chicken, Garlic Satay Chicken, Ginger Beef (not all are created equal XD), and for dessert, Coconut Ice cream, Bailey's Mocha Cake, and Mexican Fried Ice Cream.

I also got the custom insoles for my shoes yesterday. By the end of the day, I couldn't wait to get them off, but this morning already, my feet didn't hurt nearly as badly when I got up :3

This is the face of someone who's been more or less awake since 4:45 AM.

I did fall asleep again some time after 5, but it wasn't restful. My eyes feel dry and sandy and I'm tired. I won't be able to take a nap later either, 'cause I'll be out all day. Whoopee.

It's nice and quiet here in the basement though, I should curl up....

My boss made me see the foot-lady today. I have an appointment next week for custom insoles :D All goes well, I'll have proper foot support custom to my feet by the end of the month. She said that I roll the right foot more than the left, which kinda makes sense, given how many times I've sprained it in the last 20 years.

Downside: they are expensive :( I get the money back, but I have to pay for them up front. Which is going to suck. I have to throw more money at my visa on payday.

Tomorrow: Midnight showing of Batman. O YEA.

Me and Guido just had a long snuggle, in which I got his fur up my nose :3

It is also raining. It hasn't been super-duper hot in almost a week, but this is really nice. I can use my super-expensive Cirque umbrella again! :D

There was a huge storm passing through on Sunday, to the point that I gave my project in the basement just in case the power went out, so I wouldn't be caught in the dark ^^; (See? I get it. I have irrational fear of sudden darkness that I can't control :P) Allan and I sat on the couch and watched... nothing, really, there wasn't much to see. Sometimes, I didn't even see the lightning, but the thunder was unbelievable.

So, as we were sitting there, I happened to look up at the underside of our second-story deck. I had noticed some wasps hanging around the day before, and I figured that they had a nest nearby. Sure enough, stuck up under the deck against the wall, was a nest about the size of a big fist. (my own fist is kinda small lol)

We told our neighbour, who is the assistant manager, and today, the pest people came to spray it :D We have to keep the cats inside for a few hours yet, just in case, and they aren't enjoying it XD

One of Nicole's hermit crabs died :( It was one of the newer ones, too. She's had the first two for almost a year, and the new pair for about a month. I noticed him lying on his back in the food dish with his big claw and some legs hanging out of the opening. She took him out, and he just rattled around inside the shell, and smelt bad to boot. Into the garbage he went (but not before she took him out to see what he looked like. EUGH. Hmm, have an irrational fear of crabs too. They're just so.... crabby @@) and this morning, I found him on the kitchen floor near the cats' food dish ^^;

Buuuut, had bad dreams too. I dreamt that I was living in New York, and the city was being attacked by aliens. Nicole was watching the flying saucer through binoculars and the cats (especially Smudge) were trying to catch it and occasionally they spoke over the radio, and they sounded like they learned english in Boston, but still. Not happy dreams. Woke up and my heart was just pounding :/

Good heavens, my feet are just killing me. I worked two evening shifts and they're ready to fall off. I don't know how I'm going to survive next week, when I work evening shifts every day :(

Also, it has been very, very hot, but tonight it rained and it's supposed to cool off a little for the next few days. Here's hoping, its really hard to get a good night's sleep when its close to 30C and humid. How do you southern coastal folks survive this? @@

I am tired and perhaps a little crispy-fried. I used SPF50 but perhaps sitting in the sun for a couple hours was a bad idea XD

WTF.

Yesterday was really great. My grampa apparently decided not to entertain the entire building again, so it was just family instead :D I drove up with Amber and Shane, and my aunt came out from BC too. Grampa made the most DELICIOUS potato salad too. Shane gave me the compliment, and I was all "I just stirred it XD" (which is typically how a meal is made. Grampa does the choosing of foodables, seasons it, and I either cut stuff up to put IN said foodables, or stir things, or mix them, or whatever.) It was such a delicious meal, and it was all the better because we weren't running around like crazy trying to prepare food for 40 people. We ate outside in the little covered area at their building, and later on, Uncle George and his "new" wife stopped by in time for ice cream :D

(no one cares, I'm sure; Uncle George was married to Gramma's sister, but when she died in 2004, he got remarried a year or so later? I was actually really happy that he did; when Shelley's mom died in 2005, someone told me that especially in long marriages, when one partner dies, if the other doesn't find something/someone else to fill their time, they tend to follow within a year, probably due to sheer boredom and loneliness. Uncle George even said he was lonely, so I'm really happy he found someone to share his time with :3)

Anyway, it was a great day. So warm, and so perfect to sit outside in the shade ('cause it was really stupidhot out otherwise). Dad and I ran out to Brett's, but first we went out to Tillicum Beach where the spring we got our drinking/safe water from for 2 years was, and had a few slurps of it :D My aunt painted my toes shiny pink, which actually matched my sandals. And she also said that if I ever want to go visit Nanaimo again, I have a spot on her couch for as long as I want it :D

My style is more "hack and slash", I tend to run in and do just that, and then wonder why the heck I keep dying.

I'm using a guide for Crisis Core more to make sure that I hit the side-story rather than just rushing through the main-story. I tried some of the mission battle-strategies and just wound up dying, but when I did it my way, it was remarkably easy ;)

But, this is also from someone who took 5 years to finish FFVII (on the first try! woot)

Although, as a girl-gamer, doesn't that mean that I don't exist?

Oh lawd, I had a migraine from hell today. It's almost funny, in a way, the way these migraines work. Some of them are relatively minor, and yet lay me up in bed, and others are really bad and I can still function mostly-normally with them. Like today, I had to take 3 tylenols, and then I eventually took an anti-nauseant too because my stomach was just roiling like nobody's business, which in turn made my head worse. But once I got that settled, my head stopped aching so badly and I could get on with my day.

Canada Revenue = wtf. They sent me a letter which might have required a response from me. It was dated June 19th. My "consent" which could have been disputed, was assumed effective on June 19th. This is OK, I didn't need to dispute it. HOWEVER. It was post-marked on the 24th, and I received it today. WTF?


The Crisis Core soundtrack is really good. I don't think I've ever bought a game soundtrack in my life @@ Also! Allan bought me a case for my PSP XD It is also Crisis Core. I'm such a whore for this game.

ETA: Just got to the end of the soundtrack. I really hate knowing that I know how the game is going to end. I expect that I will bawl like a baby when it happens :/

I got the 4D clothes/wig I ordered through Sola on DOD today :3 Funnily enough, I'd bought them more for Ren, but they fit/look better on Saki XD I've left Saki barefoot for now, he has such cute little toesies.

Holy crap, my CDJ stuff arrived today. I gots 2 Bleach Beat collections, Crisis Core soundtrack, Mucc's new album, and the ZY compliation thingy for Gazette. Ish a pretty book :3

I toooootally just fucked my sleep schedule over x_x I was so tired when I got home that I wound up napping for a couple hours.
