What I want to do now is to go home and finish my hp_cross_fest fic. But, speaking of fics, I would like to recommend a History Boys fic recently posted at drinkswithdakin, which makes me want to start reccing my other favorite HB fics for real. [+] to put away childish things by solvent90 (Scripps/Posner, R). And because this journal would not be complete without some eyecandies (and because I just happen to find this lovely pic where Samuel Barnett and Jamie Parker are together in the same pic), I give you... POSNER. SCRIPPS. OTP. ♥So, basically, this is my pre- Mamma Mia! fangirling. I want to see Dominic Cooper badly in that movie. I don't care if the movie's bad, I just want to see Stuart Dakin Dominic Cooper sing and wear ridiculous '70s-esque clothing. Yesterday, when arancia came for our Starbucks date, she said, "Dakin looks so good in the poster." Dakin. Dakin. Dakin. DAKIN. :P Oh, Fi-chan, you do amuse me. Normally, I wouldn't have cared so much about what Dominic gets called with, seeing as I hated his character with a passion, but after hearing him sing in the Mamma Mia! soundtrack, I may have to start caring about the actor. It really is unfair for me to hate him just because his character is an arse in the movie/play. When is Mamma Mia! starting, damn it?! I seriously can't wait any longer. Ah, well... ( Behind this LJ-cut, I am ranting about elevators, wanting nothing to do digital cameras and wanting to throw chunky dictionaries the faces of people who won't stop asking us for more copies of Breaking Dawn. I'm also wondering why people are not talking about Brisingr, whether its author is still important to so-called YA literature. I'm also in denial of my age and in need of a beta reader and hamburgers. All of that, behind this LJ-cut. I swear it. )Have a good weekend, everyone.

For another picturesque F-locked entry, click here. Just in case. Coincidentally, where is arancia? We have a Starbucks date.

Because Livejournal can be weird sometimes, I'd just like to let everyone know that I've posted pictures of my blonde self here. It's an F-locked entry, reserved especially for people who are on my F-list. But, even if you are on my F-list, sometimes LJ doesn't show these entries in your F-page. So I am making this entry public, just so you don't miss it. (I feel stupid, actually, make this post. I sound like a public announcement, and I sound self-absorbed, and attention whore-ish. I hate it.) But, anyway. There you go. *goes into hiding for the shame* PS. BUT, OMG, I HAVE A DRACO/TOM FELTON ICON NOW!!! :D

My brain has shut down. This is what not sleeping could do to you. I spent the whole of last night reading and I was awakened once again shortly afterwards because Aiden was meowing very loudly. Damn cat. Anyway. I got new shampoos for my newly colored hair. I bought Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Shampoo + Conditioner. I would've gone for Fructis but they didn't have the one for colored hair, so I chose Herbal Essences. My regular shampoo and conditioner are from HE as well, so I'm just trying to keep it in the same brand here. Besides, Herbal Essences have nicer bottles! I also still have some Kerastase treatment cream for sensitive hair. Because that's what my hair is right now. Sensitive. All that bleach. Oh, and, my scalp still feels like it burns... any suggestions on what I should do with it? This is the part about hair dyeing that I hate, actually. *sigh* The sacrifices one makes for beauty... People kept saying I look like a doll, though. I don't know whether I should take that as a compliment or as an insult. I mean, dolls are cute, but they're lifeless objects and practically have no substance inside. Like Barbie. ... why am I philosophizing over this? Signs of thirst and hunger. Must break fast soon. I'll go fetch my Chicken Vegetable Pie from Starbucks.

I'm sure most people already know, but I'm saying it anyway. oldenuf2nb's fic, What You Do With Your Life A.H.K.B.C.B. (After the Hero Kills the Batshit Crazy Bastard), has come to an end. Part 8 was posted yesterday and it wraps up the story in the most beautiful, most amazing way. Go read it if you haven't already (although I doubt anyone hasn't). I swooned on my chair as I was reading. And I had my heart in my throat the whole time. I couldn't speak after I finished and was just sitting there with tears on my eyes at the absolute perfection of the last chapter. The whole story is just perfect. *sigh* Now, there's another WIP that I'm going to follow, which is rickey_a's An Owl Named Romeo. I was going to hold back on reading it until all five chapters, plus the epilogue, are posted but with the upcoming fic fests, I figured that I won't lack any reading materials. So if I don't start reading now, I probably won't have time for anything else until the end of the year! That's all I have to say for now. (I was going to post pictures of my blonde self today, but I find that the topics above are more interesting. For me, anyway. :P)

Philippe Senderos in suprise switch to AC MilanPhilippe Senderos delighted with AC Milan loan moveSenderos completes Milan moveWHAT THE HELL. WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN. WHY DID I NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT. That's because I was busy reading Harry/Draco fanfics, I suppose. Why did no one - before balaclava23 - say anything before? I didn't even know Philippe was considering AC Milan at all. Not that I'm not happy that he's there, but, WHOA. WHY?! (Oh, hell, arancia is going to hate AC Milan more after this. Please to not hate Pippo's club, Fi-chan. But, eh, it's only for a season, yeah? No biggie. He'll be back in Arsenal next year. So, please to not be hating AC Milan!) Oh, but, I fail as a calcio fan. I didn't even know the season's started already! (Then again, it only started yesterday and I was too busy thinking about my hair to care about anything else.) I seriously couldn't care less about it right now, not even for the national team. I'm just too excited about hd_inspired and can't think about anything else right now. I still can't. And I've been at work for 10 hours.

Stole a meme again, this time from fuoconelfuoco. It's called The Vegan Hundred, but I'm not vegan, so whatever is in this list, I probably ate the non-vegan version of it. Strictly speaking, I'm not supposed to be talking about food - because it's Ramadhan and people are fasting - but I still have my period today so I'm not fasting yet. In any case, it doesn't even matter because this is obviously the Internet and talking about food on the Internet has no bearing whatsoever on RL religious activities. ( Stealing memes on a Monday morning could be a new hobby )Clearly, I have eaten a lot of things in my life.

I chickened out on platinum at the last minute. The bleach was killing my scalp. So, I had to tell my stylist, "You know what, I'll just settle for gold today. We can do white highlight later." I would've been terribly sad, but the result is nonetheless quite all right. So I'm not too disappointed. The haircut is splendid, though. Medium length-ish, and heavily layered. The bangs return, too (and I'm already braced for screams from her). I had to wake up at 8 so I could go pick up a magazine that had a hairstyle that is up-to-date with... well, with the date. Most of my fashion/beauty magazines are dated 2005 and 2006. Unless you count GQ and all those magazines where Ben Barnes and Christian Bale show up in. Much as I love Ben Barnes, I refuse to have his hairstyle. Now that it's starting to rain again, the sky is foggy at worst and cloudy at best, and it's up to me, myself, to brighten up my days. Having hair that is colored like pale sunlight is the first step. The next step is to choose clothing items that are not black, grey or white. Sadly, my wardrobe is lacking. I must go shopping again. (Excuses, excuses...)

Quick update before I go to the salon... Part 7 of What You Do With Your Life is posted! This one is, quite possibly, more beautiful than the smutty Part 7. Seriously, I am not joking. Read, read, read! And now I'm printing the whole story so I can read it all over again while my hair is being cut and dyed. Sure beats reading gossip rags that always seem to be provided as our reading materials in hair salons. ^_^

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOTO!My fellow Virgo Bebek is celebrating her birthday today, August 31st, 2008. (Actually her birthday makes me think that Toto is a Leo, and NOT a Virgo. Haha. But, yeah, she *is* a certified Virgo!) She knows this already, but I'm going to say it again: ALL THE BEST WISHES AND SUCCESS IN LOVE, LIFE, CAREER & FANGIRLDOM! *huggles to the point of suffocation* And now, I give her an extra treat for birthday. Three, actually. To Toto, I present... Christian Bale. CHRISTIAN BALE in a photoshoot by Bryce Duffy (Premiere, 2006) Source: http://christian-bale.org/( And two more! )I hope that at least put a smile on her face, because I heard her weekend is not so good. :( Well, ENJOY IT, TOTO!!!
