SWEET SEVENTEENTH!!!

Celtic Logo
It's been 22 years since the National Basketball Championship banner was raised to the rafters  in Boston Garden.  Tonight in front of many former Celtic All-Stars and their devoted fans, Boston won it all.
It was sweet because it was at home on their parquet floor.
Sweet because it was a seventeenth championship.
Especially sweet because it was against their hated rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Somewhere Red Auerbach is lighting a big fat cigar.
  Sweet.

Yesterday I had all good intentions of getting some groceries and doing some errands.  But my car veered towards the Kino Veterans Memorial Park community center where it just happened to be the first day of the Best Bead Show.
Omg.  After being directed to park in Kansas, I trudged up the hill towards the beckoning white tents and the community center itself.  The very first tent, first booth, got some of my money.  Lampwork beads, silk cords, wood beads, pearls...oh.
Buyers and vendors from all over the world came.  I saw lampwork beads by Japanese artists and opal beads being sold by a nice woman from New Zealand.  Gem stone beads and beads carved from shed antlers...There was a lampwork bead demonstration going on-I noticed the two big fire extinguishers close by.
You could spend the entire day in just one tent but you'd miss out on beads from Africa and much more.
I bought my Valentine's Day and anniversary presents for myself.  For the next few years, ahem.
Pictures coming as soon as I am done fondling beads and making happy chirpy noises...

I'm so happy...I got a check from my fav gallery, Bohemia, yesterday.  One of the items I sold was this art quiltie.  (I forgot to turn the bottom button over before I took this picture.  It said, "WILD".)  This was one of my personal favs because of the message and the crazy fabrics I used in it.
[info]lisaofnm gave me the lime green leopard print stuff and we laughed about it.
After viewing lots of abstract, brut, naive, etc. art I really want to do more "out there" artwork.
I have to get groceries this morning, darn it.
