johnrogers posted about Dr. Horrible: I would argue that as soon as your web-only musical about a supervillain is referenced on a group blog of University professors discussing Disraeli, you have, indeed, won the Internets. Also, to continue the discussion raised by my staff Friday -- has Felicia Day now officially ascended from being one of the Geek Princesses to Queen of the Geeks? This guy is making me love Leverage more and more and it won't air until December. Also, you might want to check it out before it's pulled off the website, requiring you to pay for it. **** I went to see Batman last night. ( Not really spoiler, but opinions and thought. )

If there are one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.- My iPhone still rocks, so much so that I end up consuming the battery way too fast. I'll have to learn to pace myself - Batman today, if we can get tickets. If not, I still have to watch Hellboy and Get Smart. I'll get around eventually - ABC's Americanized version of the British time-travel series Life on Mars will alter the show's mythology. [Spoilers for both the UK and US version in the article] This might actually make me want to watch. - SAG and AMPTP still can't find an agreement. - Joss is still a god among gods. His Dr. Horrible is fantastic. If anyone needs the songs and/or video let me know. - I watched the leaked pilot of the Mentalist. I might actually end up watching this because it combines a cop show with a man who uses observation to reach his conclusions. And did I mention it's a cop show? Yeah, I like those. I also like the female protagonist (Veronica from Prison Break - I don't remember her name) - I love reading through my flist and see comments about Comic Con. You can always tell the people who've been to cons, and Comic Con especially, and those who haven't. People who have gone: we'll get there early, grab the seats, and will miss a panel we wanted to do at 10 but it's the only way to see X at 12:15 People who haven't gone: we have a list of panels and we'll go to the park during breaks, and we can walk around, etc. If you can manage to walk to the bathroom in between the morning session and the evening session, I admire you. Walking around San Diego is NOT on my list to do after a day that starts around 6:30 and ends around 1. -

Yesterday, we went to the FREE (yes, that would be free, thank you New York City) concert. We left my house around noon, and got in line around 1:30. It took about 2 hours to get inside even though doors opened at 2 pm. We managed to get the spot about 200 yards from the stage, smack in the middle. We proceeded to spend the rest of the afternoon tanning. I must say that it was hot but not intolerably so. There was a nice breeze that made it more than bearable. It was all very calm and orderly. The NYPD did an amazing job, but NYers did an even better one. Everyone was on its best behavior. When we got closer to the beginning of the concert people started moving forward, blankets and towels were being packed away. By the time the concert started, we were about 100 yards from the stage. We could see them without the need of the giant screens or even binoculars. They were right there. For the non musical part, Richie was wearing button down black jeans so tight that you could see how he dressed and a black T-shirt saying careforkelly.com. I googled it at home and it's http://www.careforkelly.com/. David Bryan didn't have anything particular on. Tico Torres had a black t-shirt with a sparkly circle and the writing, still sparkly, Made In NY. Jon changed 3 times. He started with his jeans and a black vest, no shirt. The vest said Born A Hero in the back. Then he changed into his red shirt. Finally into a magnificent blue shirt that I spotted with little lights and no monitors on. It made his eyes look even bluer. They did all of their old songs, plus Have a Nice Day, Who Says You Can't Go Home and Lost Highway (which I tend to forget that it exist). Richie sang I'll Be There for You. chainedinbeads, there was a violist too, and she was damn good. For the encore they started with I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (Don't quote me on this, because it might have been earlier that night), Wanted (you can quote me on this one because I was waiting for it) and then he stopped thanked NYC, the NYPC and Park Dept. You could see just how thrilled he was to be playing in Central Park (not even the Beatles or the Stones managed to do that, he commented). He closed with I Love This Town. The concert was great as usual. We've seen them for their Have a Nice Day Tour at Giant Stadium. I've also seen bits and pieces of concerts in other places, and I can say that nothing compares to Bon Jovi in the NY/NJ area. However the most obvious thing from their concerts is the Richie/Jon love. Seriously, every time I see them live I want to read slash about these two, so if anyone knows of any, please point me that way. Tags: real life

- OMG, I HAVE A IPHONE!!!! All right so that's the only capslock of the night, but really, OMG, I have an iPhone. It's awesome, however I had to get a new number. If you had my old cell number, please leave a comment and I'll give you the new one. I figured a flocked post with close to 500 people is pretty useless. Anyone going to Comic Con, please let me know and I'll more than happy to give you contact info, so we can meet. Funny things that happened while on line: 1. A woman got into the car and asked to hold the place on line. She'd only take 10 minutes, 15 tops. She came back with smelling of sex and cash on her hands. Any guesses what she was doing? 2. AT&T bastards (where I didn't go) let the people stand in line only to tell them that they were sold out after the 3 hour wait. 3. The Apple store in Soho gave us designer water (which tastes like crap) and organic tea. At least they were nice. - Comic Con has the schedule out. - cluegirl drew a magnificent Draco Malfoy. - RSVP post for terminus_hd is here. - moosesal is hosting the Non-J2 CW Real Person Ficathon! Go have fun and write lots of fics.Tags: hp recs, real life

- Former Colombian presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt has been rescued, the country's defense minister, Juan Manuel Santos, said Wednesday. OMG, why isn't this all over my flist yet? I'm shocked and surprised that she's even alive considering her healthy, but OMG she's free. - On a different level of OMG, I got free tickets to see Bon Jovi at Central Park. I saw them last year (or was it 2 years ago) at Giants Stadium (or whatever the fuck it's called now), and they were amazing. I can't wait. - Drug Arrests Were Real; the Badge Was Fake. He might be a con man, but he was cleaning up towns at least *laughs* Finally I've been tagged by caariroseA) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs & replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
