As always, the weekend came and went. I hate when that happends. Anyways, G-Gordon Liddy's birthday was July 19th. He was going to turn double nickles as he would put it. 55! It's still amazing that he is fifty five years old and still working. Nothing will stop him. Even on his days off he can't sit still, he's always gotta be doing something. So, Seattle, Blindmansblog and I were suppose to go to a street party on Elm Street to listen to a band and celebrate the movie "Nightmare on Elm Street", but when we drove up there wasn't a whole lot of people so we decided to take a drive to Dorthia Dix and sit on the lawn and see the view of downtown Raleigh. Tall John bought some snacks and sandwiches and we had a picnic. It was very relaxing and even though the sky looked a little grey it never rained on us. About seven o'clock we headed over to G-Gordon Liddy's house and celebrated his birthday. Drama Queen and John Deere bought over fathead (Rusty) "DQ's dog". It's amazing he is so hyper when he is around people that even if you try and walk he feels like he's going to knock you down. He's a year old Boston Terrior. So we all gather around as he opens his birthday cards and cuts the cake that I made him. It was so nice to see everyone there. I hope that he enjoyed it as much as we did. Let the good times roll. Sunday, Seattle and I went over to Tall John's house and decided to play a round of disc golf. Tall John invited his friend Donnie along. I don't play disc golf but I like watching it. So I tag along and walk around in the woods and take pictures and try and be a fan. After playing around in the heat and riding home in the cool a/c, Seattle and I come home and relax the rest of the evening. Even though we don't do a whole lot on the weekends its always good to have days to kick back and relax. |

I went to the mailbox today and to my suprise there was a letter from the IRS. Knowing in the back of my head that I thought it was going to be bad news, I found out that they are giving me a refund of 361.00! Woo-hoo! I love free money! |

Wow, sorry about the delay everyone. It's been a wild two weeks. Alot has happend and I forgot to remember what I did. So let me clear the cobwebs outta my head and get right to it. Last weekend, somedayseattle and I met up with G-Gordon Liddy, Drama Queen and John Deere to go bowling. It was a fun night of talking, cracking up and see how bad everyone is at playing this sport. On Sunday, Seattle and I just chilled and relaxed the whole day since it was so hot outside there was very little to do. So we just went out and did our chores and had a cup of coffee and people watched for a bit. Lazy days are my favorite. Now for this weeks update. Wednesday I spend the day with G-Gordon Liddy since he had the day off from work for two days. We ended up going to the chiropractor for a consultation. It seems now my lower back is starting to hurt a bit while I am at work and it has been hurting for a few months now due to my disability. So, I decided why not go to a chiropractor and see what he has to say about fixing me. After the consultation, G-Gordon Liddy and myself go Goodwill Hunting all around the city of Raleigh. We end up picking up some strange pieces of artwork and a couple of knicknacks for the apartment. Thursday, G-Gordon Liddy and I spend the day riding around to thrift stores and other places trying to find good prices at a small price. We then up eating at this place called Hibatchi Sushi. They cook Japanese food and Thai food also. G-Gordon Liddy ends up getting a california roll and I get a philly roll. Its amazing how good sushi is when they make it right there in the resturant and how fresh it is. Friday, G-Gordon Liddy ends up bringing me to the RBC Center to be dropped off. I scheduled an appointment that day with the chiro and Mother Mary was going to bring me to the doctor. So we end up spending the whole day together talking and hanging out. I can say it felt good hanging out with her and talking about anything. Tonight Seattle and I are going to see Blind Melon in concert over at Moore Square. Hope it doesn't rain. Hope you guys have a good weekend and I'll post more when I have some good news. |

This week has been real dreadful. With the temperature rising to 100-103 and the humidity being really hot that you can cook an egg outside, it was finally time to turn on the air conditioning. Since I've been in North Carolina now for fifteen years I hate summer here. This is the worst season to do anything. Going to work wasn't a real treat either. Being in doors where it is the same temperature inside that it is outside you feel like your melting like frosty the snowman. But enough complaining, as for me, I've been doing okay. I went on myspace.com to try and find some old friends of mine that I went to junior high with. No luck, but I am glad to know that I found one of my one of my cousins that still lives in upstate New York where I use to live. So I decided to write her a letter seeing it was really her and once I got an email back she was so happy to hear from me. So now I've been keeping in contact with her and seeing what she's been up to. Now, I keep in contact with my best friend from first grade and my cousin. You can tell its a small world when you know the internet can help you find people you lost. Well, this day next month Ziggy and Zoe will be a year old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Just like kids they keep growing and growing. Hope none of you had any bad luck today. |
