BTW.. I got more tattoos. I got the 3 gall bladder scars on my stomach covered. I still have one more scar I dont know what to do with. Maybe pierce?

Sunday I found a kitten outside of work in a hot parking lot with no house to run away from for like 6 miles. we all figured he was dropped off somewhere and just was looking for someone to feed him.
being the bleeding heart i am... i took him inside, asked my sup for a box... and we put him in an office. she was proud of me, as she is a cat lover herself, and said me leaving him out there would have been very very very mean and insensitive.
Well, all the places I could take him to (shelters) were closed... so I asked matt if i could keep him at the apartment one night so I could take him to a good place (vet clinic or humane society that would take in a stray) the next morning before work. Coppell is a no kill shelter, so I figured if i took him to a vet that morning they could have them pick it up.
Well... matt came home, and although he was a little pissed that i brought it home.. he understood that I can't just abandon something so little. (I'm talking like this is a kitten kitten... probably about 3-4 months old). he realized that we had to do something.. it would have been wrong to leave a living thing outside in 100 degree weather when its too young to fend for itself.
so he said i could keep it at the apartment till we found it somewhere to go. And then.. and then the kitten laid in his lap. I walked off while he was on the computer looking at shelters. When I come back, he's looking at how much shots will cost.
I think he started to like the little fucker... and he knew that I secretly wanted to keep him. So he said I could keep him!!! Under the conditions that:
I am Financially Responsible for any and all care
Shots
Must be fixed ASAP
Declawed (at least front paws)

So... that night, we went out and bought food and toys. I picked up the litter box from my mom's that is self contained (ya know, the kind with a lid and ventilation so it doesnt stink up the whole house.). So that was about $20 at walmart for a food bowl, a few toys, kitten food, and a three month supply of flea medicine for the just in case it has them.
I started calling around about shots and fixing...Started getting discouraged that I couldnt afford it. Then, I found a coupon for a free health exam at the pet clinic we have taken all our past pets to. This was a blessing because I needed to find out how old and what needs to be done with him.
I also found a place in denton that will give him all three shots (the main ones.. FIV which is basically kitty aids, which I lost 3 cats to), Feline Lukemia, which I lost my first cat to, and Rabies, which is required by the state), the first two are 10 dollars, the rabies is 5. So thats 25 dollars total for shots. Which is better than the $100+ I was looking to spend with other vet clinics. Then, I found out that the same place with fix the kitten for $25 also, which is better than the up to $500 I was looking at to get him declawed and fixed at the same time. So, total right now its going to cost me $50 at that place.
I took him for his health exam yesterday, The exam was free... but he has ear mites... And that's pretty bad if we let it go on too long... so I went ahead and let them clean his ears and give him a dose of a medication that will help kill all existing parasites, as well as a preventative action against what could be. That was a total of 52.07. So, although I originally just wanted to see if he was healthy, I spent $52.07 on him because I felt bad and told the vet I could spent a little bit... They said to get his 2 shots done asap, but he's still too young for rabies, he is about 4 months old, I've got to wait 2 more months for rabies. I'm calling the place that will fix him to see how old they'll start fixing the kittens and things like that, I left a message and am hoping they will call back today.

All together, I've spent about $70 on him. There will be another $50 in the next 2 months...and then I have to find out where I can get him declawed.
He's playful, but very needy when he wants attention.

But, I'm hoping I will be able to afford him, because I think it would be a good lesson to learn.. having to take care of something else. I mean... I'm not ready for a baby whatsoever... but maybe I can better prepare myself, ya know?

Anyways... after that rant... here he is!!!!

so these mormons dropped by today to spread the word of god. i invited them to come back monday when they had some time.

i'm feeling very out of wack.

I've been really depressed. I've gained weight, I'm losing my confidence... I need to do something about it.
So What did I decide?

I'm going back to taekwondo.
And, if my parents will pay, possibley tumbling. (This gets very expensive, and this is only if everybody fits has an adult tumbling/gymnastics class....)
I dont have the money to join a gym and do classes and stuff. So, hopefully if M.C. charges, my mom will cover that and go back with me. I may ask to start out as a green belt, and work my way up, because I'd feel dumb having forgotten everything and going back as a red belt. My goal is to get my black belt (even if i start at green), by 25. Hopefully this is obtainable and I'm not setting myself up for failure. I figure if I go to class twice a week, I'll be able to lose weight and get healthy and feel better about myself. My boyfriend misses the attractive cocky darin... so I've got to do something about all this. About my depression, my health, my raging thoughts.

So I figured TKD kept me safe and in control...

after 4 trips to the emergency room for unexplained pain in my side...

they finally prepped me for surgery saturday and removed my gall bladder.
apparantly one of the ducts was twisted, which was the cause of all my pain. I'm really glad something was wrong and it wasn't me just being a baby about stuff, ya know?
So, I'm recovering from surgery, will be out of work for a week.

Then... I'm going to lose weight. Once I can, i'm gonna start working out.
