You know, I've been experiencing a ton of job satisfaction lately. But if I wasn't, I wonder if getting a job here would be a good idea?

When I got home I saw a dad and his three kids (in the big, middle, little order) playing around in the courtyard. You could tell they were all having fun running around. It was this perfect snapshot of the joy of kids and dads at play.

Also there was ice cream cake at work today. WIN!

Looooooooong day of visiting my Grams in rehab (fractured rib kind, not Lindsey Lohan kind) and dealing with related family drama. Also if anyone knows how to get AVG free version 8.0.136 to stop bugging me to restart my computer even after I've just restarted the damn thing That would be fabulous.

Again with the disguistingly nice day outside. Though it was a wee bit warm. Still, I was able to walk to the store and to pick up dinner. This is when I learned that shows like What Not to Wear are so right when they talk about you never know who you're going to run into when you're out. I nearly bumped into someone from work. I was dressed okay enough for a weekend, but hadn't had a chance to shower after housecleaning and working with my plants and the aforementioned walk. Luckily I don't think I was spotted. Whew.

I will share this link though, which is my moment of acting on the Backup Project.

The weather today was almost nice, which makes me think that Mother Nature is up to something. We're being lulled into a false sense of security, I tell ya.

As the above link mentions, earlier today I spent some time wandering around in a bookstore. It's a very happy thing. On my way home I drove through a town having a sidewalk sale. I was very disappointed that the Unfinished Furniture and Gun Exchange store didn't have any tables set up. Clearly they are not getting into the spirit of the event.

Had a great night tonight. Did a new thing which I may go into more detail on once it's a not-so-new thing and thus out of the shakey larval stage. But it was a positive experience so yay for that.

Ow ow ow - currently being kneaded on by a kitty who needs her claws trimmed. In related news, Luna says hi.

Now on to the links of the day. Not too many tonight, but it'll go behind a cut tag all the same. ( Cut tags make things neater! )

So here's the thing: christinenj got me into using Google Reader. One of the features of said reader is sharing items from your feeds with your Google Reader friends, complete with comments if you were so inclined. Naturally I can't keep my mouth shut on much, and really the only downside to this system that I have found is that all y'all aren't on Google Reader too (don't worry about linking me if you are, it won't change this).

Well gosh, I said to myself, if only I had some way I could share interesting links and articles with the folks I usually blog with.

Yeah, I'm slow.

Anyhoo, so here's me giving it a go. We'll see if this lasts once the new toy shine is off of it. In the meanwhile it's all behind a cut tag for ease of ignoring. Look to the tags for the post to get an idea what all is included.

Had a fairly lovely holiday weekend with lucifrix. There was BBQ, MST3K, and all other sorts of initial-y goodness. (Provided one ignores the part where I was in bed for FIFTEEN HOURS thanks to a migraine.) I took today off to recover with sleeping in and doing laundry. Not, I shall admit, at the same time.

Yesterday lucifrix and I saw Sandra "Semi-Homeade" Lee tell people it was okay to put kiwi into jello. She even assured everyone that even though they say not to, it was totally fine for this recipe. Also she made a cocktail using "three parts lime drink." You can't make her up, you really can't.

Today lucifrix and I have learned that drugs are like patriotism.

I am told it is more joy day! I'm rather busy today - and let's pause to honor the enjoyment of my job - but I share this newly gotten icon with you as it does indeed give me joy.
