First of all, this is awesome:

Second of all, the job hunt seems to be going well. With Gourry's help I collected 9 applications today, and Target is up in the air. On Saturday when I bring them back in, we'll head to Rosedale Mall and work from there.

Anyone on my flist who's played Crisis Core up to Chapter 8
I think I've encountered a glitch.  I've gathered everything for the perfect wagon(found all the spies, talked to the grunt captain to do all his stupidly easy missions and caught the researcher in charge of releasing monsters into Midgar and Kalm). However, when I go back to the church to talk to Aeris, she thanks me for getting all the materials but that I'm still not done. I have all the materials. I'm wondering if I've encountered a glitch somehow. This is the second time I've played this through and this is the only trouble I've had with plot so far. Anyone have any ideas on how to get around it?

Trip review!
I'm sorry it took me so long to post this. It was an exhausting week and we have way too many pictures. I wanted to be coherent when I made this report, so that's why it took me so long.

Our trip was wonderful! We got to Whistler around five on Sunday, after a long, long car trip from Seattle. The Sea to Sky Highway wasn't as winding as we were expecting, and since we left on a Sunday there was no road construction, although we did get stopped at the border. For like 20 minutes while they drilled us on reasons for traveling to Canada, which I guess they are supposed to. Contrary to many people's opinions Canadians are very nice. Vancouver, however, is a terrible city and should fall into the ocean. All the road signs are the same color, the same size and usually hidden by trees. Highway 99 takes you through downtown which is a maze of one ways and terrible drivers. The drivers are rude and fast and honk if you don't go fast enough. The people who gave us directions, however, are very nice. Vancouver is the number one reason why the Cannucks suck. ^_~ Our week was pretty busy. While in Kent, we visited the Sound because Gourry wanted to see the Pacific Ocean and we weren't about to drive to Olympia so he could see it.

Whistler is by every accounts a tourist town. So much so that they boast it on their web page. They are also the largest ski resort in North America, with 200 runs on both Blackcomb and Whistler. (You hear it a lot if you take any treks up the mountain.) We found a park with a small amount of walking trails and a ton of bike trails. We walked on the bike trails. Most of the bikers are pretty cool with it, as long as you let them pass. We took something on Tuesday called TreeTrek which is a series of wood bridges and platforms suspended 200 feet in the air in a temperate rainforest. (In case you all weren't aware, British Columbia contains a rainforest. They just get that much rain.) They also had a zipline connected to the platforms, for those of us more daring. There were a million shops, but we didn't really go shopping-there was too much else to do.

On Thursday, we attempted an ATV trek up the mountain. I panicked and never drove, but Gourry was content to drive both ways. However, our ATV stalled on  the way down and we had to ride back separately.  The salmon bake at 5000ft was totally worth it though, even though it was cold and cloudy and rainy. We saw a bear on one of the ski runs. The downside was we were up at 5am thanks to a faulty fire alarm and then consequently, the front desk apologizing for the inconvience just as I was falling back to sleep.

Friday was much better, it was sunny and warm and we spent 20 bucks to take a series of three ski lifts up the mountain to 7000 feet. It was money well spent. We had lunch and watched skiers and made snowballs and took a ton of pictures.

The trip back through Vancouver on Saturday was not as bad as the week before, but I was driving, so it's always worse. ^_~ I had to cut off a tour bus in order to get to the highway and away from downtown. We were able to see Mount Rainier on Saturday but it was hazy so I wasn't able to get any good pictures. I did take a few though.

Because I have a ton of music.
1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2. List (and upload, if you feel like it) 5 songs that start with that letter.
3. Post that to your journal with these instructions.

I was given B.

The Burdened-Takeharu Ishimoto http://www.sendspace.com/file/a02tyh 1 minute and 35 seconds of goodness. Everything in Crisis Core is sad, but this is the only song I think that really fits Aeris better than her own theme does. Anyone who likes game soundtracks should like this.

The Boy Who Accepted the Star-Joe Hisashi, Howl's Moving Castle OSThttp://www.sendspace.com/file/q6vpfv Who doesn't like this song? It is one of my favorites from this soundtrack.

Bye Bye Beautiful-Nightwishhttp://www.sendspace.com/file/8iipyy Not my favorite, but still a good one by this band.

Brown-Eyed Girl-Van Morrisonhttp://www.sendspace.com/file/jfksn7 Who doesn't know this song? I was trying to get it played at my wedding since I have brown eyes, but my eleven year cousin kept requesting stupid songs.

Blue Comb '78-Five Iron Frenzy http://www.sendspace.com/file/o1cbem I only have the live version of this on my computer, but it's been my favorite since high school, so if anyone's interested it hearing the band I talk about a lot, feel free to steal

Let's go to Canada!
Welcome to Canada, it's the Maple Leaf State.
Canada, oh Canada it's great!
The people are nice and they speak French too.
If you don't like it, man, you sniff glue.
The Great White North, their kilts are plaid,
Hosers take off, it's not half bad.
I want to be where yaks can run free,
Where Royal Mounties can arrest me.
Let's go to Canada, let's leave today,
Canada, oh, Canada, I Si Vous Plait.
They've got trees, and mooses, and sled dogs,
Lots of lumber, and lumberjacks, and logs!
We all think it's kind of a drag,
That you have to go there to get milk in a bag.
They say "eh?" instead of "what?" or "duh?"
That's the mighty power of Canada.
I want to be where lemmings run into the sea,
Where the marmosets can attack me.
Let's go to Canada, let's leave today,
Canada, oh, Canada, I Si Vous Plait.
Please, please, explain to me,
How this all has come to be,
We forgot to mention something here.
Did we say that William Shatner is a native citizen?
And Slurpees made from venison,
That's deer.
Let's go to Canada, let's leave today,
Canada, oh, Canada, I Si Vous Plait.

Oh Canada by Five Iron Frenzy, quite possibly the best and only song about Canada!^_~

Some things are best kept hidden away
By request of my whole damn family, I'm finishing up cleaning my old room. yes, ti's been two years, I figured Gourry was more important than a dusty basement cell room. Today I was reminded why I was reminded why I was putting it off for so long: the memories of those friendless years crept up on me and stuck in a way only those memories stick on me. So now, fourteen years after that fact, I'm thanking all my friends, online, and RL. Thank you all for being there for me when I hated myself and was overworked and thank you for being my friend even though I'm far from normal. *hugs all her friends*

a. Post a list of 15 fandoms.
b. Have your friends list guess your favorite character from each one.
c. When guessed, bold the line, include the character name, and write a sentence about why you like that character.

Guys, I don't have 15 fandoms, so you get 10 and some are a stretch. Sorry.

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to.

1- Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too-Say Anything. I've liked this song since I got it last year. It's catchy and amusing and I feel like a big perv for listening to it, but it's ok.

2- Coin-Operated Boy-The Dresden Dolls. I haven't heard this song in at least a year, and I heard it on the way to class on Monday. I forgot how much I liked it. Besides, how many women would say they'd want a man who did what they wanted?

3- Ain't No Sunshine-Bill Withers. I heard this song on Monk a while ago, and I really like it. I'm not entirely sure what it's about, but it's about a woman who leaves home a lot, and the singer wants her back.

4- The Burdened-Crisis Core Soundtrack. It's probably one of the shortest songs I have. It's a minute and a half long and I've already listened to it 45 times. It's the new theme that plays in the church and I love it.I just finished CC and I needed a melancholy tune to get me writing.

5- Write me A Song-Edwin McCain. I don't think this song was ever popular, but I love it. Women who have had a rough time in life ask him to write them a song that makes all the girls cry.

6- Tobacco Island-Flogging Molly. A litlte, not so nice historical song about Irish landowners forcibly removed from their land and forced to work in slave colonies on Barbados. I love the solo in the middle of it it, and I love that they're backing it up with history.

7-Grace Is Gone-Dave Matthews Band. One of the only new songs I like by DMB. It's pretty self explanitory.

It doesn't matter if I tag you or not, most people won't do it, so if you want to, fine. ^_~
