| Halo 3 is freaking awesome |

I told you you'd see me in a week.
In truth though, I finished the campaign in one sitting that same night. I only played it on Normal though, I wanted to get to end of the story before I was spoiled. Playing through it now on Heroic, then comes Legendary.
Been clocking up some hours on Xbox Live as well, it's like Halo 2 only BETTER!
One of the cool features of the Halo 3 is the ability to take screenshots and movies from anywhere in the game. Here are a few I grabbed....
Level 2, filling some Brutes with my hot lead.
One of those Brutes up close, looking very angry.
Master Chief riding a Sentinel. This was really weird, I stepped off a ledge, and all of a sudden there was a Sentinel underneath me. COOL.

You know I just assumed CafePress would email you every time you made a sale. Apparently not! Imagine my surprise when I logged into my CafePress account for the first time in months this morning, and saw that I had 7 sales! That's $US29 of profit baby!
Of course... every single sale was for the same thing... a t-shirt I made after watching The Simpsons Movie.
But I ain't complaining. Money is money!
I guess what I've learnt about CafePress is this: a) Get as close as you can to breaching copyright without actually doing it, and b) cash in on the latest fad.

I'm cleaning out my room, like totally going through everything. I just came across an old issue of Juice, a now defunct Aussie rock mag. This particular issue is from July 1997.
As we put this edition to bed, news reaches us that Jeff Buckley drowned in the Mississippi River on Thursday May 28. The singer/songwriter was one of the most exciting new talents to emerge in the '90s, although his life has been dogged with personal crises.
The article then goes on to quote the Memphis police...
"At this time his body has not surfaced and he is presumed dead, but we are still searching. We're dragging the river and have scuba divers and a rescue team out. If he'd gone further down and had gotten out, he would've contacted someone. But no-one's heard from him."
It then quotes Jeff posting on his website in early 1997.
"I'm in the middle of some wild shit right now. Please be patient. I'm coming soon to a cardboard display case near you and I'll come out of my hole and will make bonfires out of ticket stubs come the summer..."
So eerie to read about it as if it just happened, but it was really nearly 10 years ago.

Japan were leading 1-0 until the 84th minute when Tim Cahill scored Australia's FIRST EVER world cup finals goal. Three minutes later he scores a double. 2-1 Australian. Then John Aloisi scores a third goal in injury time.

Mobile rant: On Sydney's CityRail trains, we are instructed not to leave our rubbish on the train, but to 'place it in the station bins provided.' That's all well and good, but in this paranoid climate post London and Madrid, they REMOVED all station bins. So I'm stuck carrying around my McDonalds rubbish till I get home. Buh!
