This journal is primarily friends-only. All fanfiction is public, so if you do not comment (all comments are screened!), I'm going to assume you're just here for the fic, and I probably won't add you back. Even so, I rarely talk about fannish things in my journal anymore, compared to before, so if you added me two years ago and don't care about my grades, feel free to de-friend at any time, no hard feelings. For everyone else, welcome. I'm nice sometimes.
(Also, if I have bought anything from you, please leave feedback here. Thank you!)
So this is what I did last night instead of my problem set.
( I CHOOSE YOU )
Now that I've finished my PWR paper I've just been messing around in Photoshop and now look what happened:
( YAY LAZY SATURDAYS )
PS: I CAN HAS dA ACCOUNT?
In order to distract myself from studying, I dragged out Photoshop and attempted to learn how to color properly. I don't have a scanner and all I was able to find was a sketch I did for
brandinsbabe, and it's a highly disproportional sketch at that, and it wasn't scanned either (taken with my now-broken digital camera), but I think it looks halfway decent I guess:
(original here)
Can't wait to get back home and find a decent way to scan things in, or, better yet, actually draw again.
This was written for
torakowalski for the Cam/Sheppard ficathon
sg_flyboys with a fantastic beta by the always lovely
minttown1. The prompts used were: flying, friendship (as well as slash), other people's reactions, and it's set during 10.03 "The Pegasus Project."
Due to packing/moving and emergency health concerns, this is a week overdue, but I hope it'll be worth the wait!
Gunpowder and Sky
Stargate SG-1/Atlantis, PG-13, 2500 words
All he sees is unkempt hair and that lazy, lazy smile, and Cam's not impressed.
Also:
etain_anders' delightfully wonderful fic for me, Sports As A Metaphor.
I wrote this the night (or morning?) after seeing the movie, then scrapped it and rewrote it, then decided it was much, much better than the rewrite. Still, there is much character butchery and unpolished-ness ahead.
This is for Amber.
Hamartia
Transformers, G, 320 word
Within two months of saving the world she went back to Trent.
Okay so I still have ten cards left to send that will probably not get there in time. OH WELL! In the meantime, here is LAME holiday fic.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, GUYS!
A Somewhat Holly, Not So Jolly Christmas
Stargate SG-1, G, 1250 words
"Oh, no," said Daniel, as Vala practically exploded from glee, "please don't humor her."
Yes, this was a homework assignment. Yes, AP English is over. Yes, I got a 100. No, I don't ever want to hear about Lord of the Rings ever, ever again.
We Have Lingered
Elinor & Brandon, G, 1000 words. Movie-verse.
Elinor sighed and scrubbed at her face with her hands.
This was written as part of the
undermistletoe challenge. Contains spoilers for 3.04 "Sateda," but takes place some time before the episode.
Our Dust Allows
Stargate Atlantis, PG-13, 1600 words
On Sateda when your wife dies, you mourn for a month and a day.
For the "Save the Heroes" challenge at
heroes_flashfic.
Scheherezade
Heroes, G, 750 words
Do you remember your mother, Isaac?
Please leave feedback here.
My AP English teacher is a Lord of the Rings-obsessed nutjob. This was one of our assignments. I'm actually kind of fond of this poem, despite it being, you know, homework.
The Tale of Galadriel
Lord of the Rings, G, 88 lines
Remember the Lady of the Golden Wood!
So this isn't what I drew for Amber, but it's still Stargate-related. Um, enjoy!
( Mild spoilers for "The Return," but not really. )
artistic
sarkastic held a Norrington Ficathon recently—I received this lovely fic from
the_grynne, and wrote for
clannadlvr, who wanted:
a) further explanation of Norrington's fall from grace
b) his reaction to being kicked out of the service
c) most importantly, the moment where he starts to put James Norrington above everyone else.
The Heart Grows Old
Pirates of the Caribbean, G, 1200 words
There is nothing James cannot overcome.
Still haven't seen tonight's Stargates—don't spoil me! But in the meantime I have fic. Er.
Five Things: Round One
Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, House M.D., Pirates of the Caribbean
For
minttown1: Five things Jack never gave back to his ex-lovers.
For
waiyza: Five things Elizabeth never said to Will.
For
ruwalk: Five six mission reports Elizabeth Weir fed to the Atlantis trash compactor.
For
windsor: Five things House likes most about Wilson.
For
kandykorn: Five things Jack kept safe for Daniel while he was ascended.
I'll do a couple more if anyone wants 'em—just leave a comment and I'll get back to you. Someday. Maybe.
So I was trying to write 24, and somewhere along the way it turned into this. I have the weirdest thought processes.
Proclivities
Stargate SG-1, G, 300 words
"Lucy Liu," Teal'c announced out of nowhere.
This took me over a year to finish. Just. WHAT.
I owe a giant thank you to
ruwalk for beta-ing it the first second third time around. The title is from a Benjamin Gibbard song.
(You Remind Me Of) Home
Stargate SG-1, G, 1750 words
"Morning, Daniel," Jack said brightly. "Getting your beauty rest?"
It's
rinkori's birthday! Yay! Hope it's a good one!
Also, I have a new header! And a random fic:
Soldier's Widow
Stargate SG-1, G, 240 words
She doesn't know what to do with the flag.
I've wanted to post this for a long time now (the cover art is about four months old), but the computer's rather slow and I was just too lazy to sit here ripping tracks until today.
( These Abundant Skies: A Jack/Daniel Fanmix. )
accomplishedSo the Narnia movie was amazing (seeing it with your two best friends helps), and I felt inspired to write. Just a warning: this isn't intended as slash, but I understand that some of you have got the goggles glued to your face and that's okay.
Ave Atque Vale
The Chronicles of Narnia, G, 650 words
Though Peter may be to all of Narnia he is not and will never be a king in Edmund's eyes.
Happy Christmashanukkwanzaadan! (I so silly.) I went to Mass last night and that was nice; I haven't gotten a single present but I don't really care. I am sending good wishes all your ways, especially because it is a time of JOY and CHOCOLATE and GOOD STUFF ALL AROUND.
In the spirit of the season, here is some Christmas-in-Atlantis fic, written in approximately an hour. Not beta'd or checked; fact and characterization errors abound and they are All MINE.
Of Eggnog and Power Sources
Stargate Atlantis, G, 1000 words
It's a Christmas tree," Rodney says breathlessly.
