Just letting you all know that I'm unfriending everyone so I don't clog up your "friend of" lists when people eventually delete this journal.

I'm still keeping this around because it seems like a good idea. I might want to go back and read stuff some day. There's 2 years of my life here.

If you're inclined, friend [info]phoenix_up, as it's my new journal. I'm suspecting that this account is still friended by so many people because they're lazy, but if not, it would be interesting to see what old aquantinces are up to these days.

I'm still a prety screwed up guy emotionally, yeah, but I don't really spew emo outside of my filter that has like 3 people on it.

In any case, hope everyone's doing well. Seeya.

You guys... Dec. 18th, 2006 @ 04:31 am
...really don't update your friends lists too often.

In any case, Merry Christmas to all I haven't seen in a while.

Folks who still have this account friended: Jun. 17th, 2006 @ 07:38 pm
It's been well over 30 days so I'm surprised this is still here, but I might as well take advantage.

Add [info]phoenix_up if you wish. If you add me, that's fine. I'll add you back (probably).

If you don't add me, that's fine. If you have any reservations about adding me I'd prefer it if you didn't, actually. Nothing personal.

Holy Hell... Apr. 26th, 2006 @ 11:19 pm
Have any of you seen the latest Lost Planet trailer? It makes me want a 360 =(
Feeling: stuff

This is probably one of the reasons I need to find some brigher music to listen to every once in a while )

While this song is undoubtedly 100% pure ROCK, the subject of Anneliese Michel isn't exactly the brightest and cheeriest thing in the world.

Bother. Problem is finding that sort of music that I actually like since I gravitate more towards negative-sounding stuffs.

-I am watching Antiques Roadshow. It is fun.

-First half of LED extraction was successful. Part two (the ones on the top fan) will occur tomorrow.

-Haven't been able to find much (any) of the happy muzak recommendations. This is mostly due to me being too lazy to fix whatever I broke on my firewall that makes Soulseek not work and not exactly wanting to download entire albums.

-So I wonder if there's any way for me to mod my DS to where I can easily take the flip screen off when I play GBA games? Having one blank screen staring me in the face really annoys me.

-Got an appt with UPS recruiting people Friday at 8am. It was supposed to be last friday but I had to reschedule because my dentist appt was that morning.

-Fulfilling a contratual obligation:

A few people have told me that I've become way too introverted and closed lately, so here's an attempt to get me out of it.

Ask me any question about anything - no holds barred. I have to answer the question honestly. Once you do that, post this in your Livejournal and do the same for your friends.

-Adam needs to mail me back, damnit. I think I might end up doing a review of MPH as my first seeing as how Kikizo tries to be territorily agnostic.

-:o They just showed this guitar on the Antiques Roadshow; a mid-1960s Gibson, which the guy said was worth worth $10k. My dad has an early-50s electric/acoustic Gibson in pretty good shape that his dad gave to him. Wonder how much that one's worth...

-Speaking of guitars, I want an acoustic...

Folk music.

But I like it when girls are singing better. Most of the time, anyway.
» "Louisville, the biggest city in Kentucky. Founded 1778. We hate you."
Behold my new wallpaper.

Louisville really is a gorgeous city. Last week when I went downtown (before my wreck >_>) it was really early in the morning and rainy, so there weren't that many people on the street. It made me feel a little bit like I was in some sort of old European city or something because I was in one of the older parts of the city. Absolutely beautiful. I need to get a digital camera and take some pictures sometime.

Also: I saw this the other day and it made me think of [info]cal_renfro.

Pro tip: Don't bum rush the stage if the lead singer of the band was a soldier at Westpoint; he'll kick your ass without even screwing up the song.
» DREAM JOURNAL!
Good morrow, Livejournal!

I've been awake for an hour now so this is all I remember about my dreams last night :(

I was as kid standing on the recliner at my grandparents' house. For some reason or another I could reach the sun and I was spraying it with uh, liquid nitrogen in a can or something so I could "put it out." Eventually that side of the sun went entirely black, and I rememer thinking "What have I done :(" and hoping, for some reason or another, that by the time it came back the next day it would be ok again.

Yeah, when I can remember my dreams they're usually quite odd ^^;

Tell me about some of your dreams, Livejournal.

Bueno Livejournal,

I have to drive downtown at 8am tomorrow and I woke up at 3pm today.

Joy.

Overwhelmed as one would be when placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be the one.
Born to bear and read you all the details of our ending.
To write it down for all the world to see.
But I forgot my pen.
And I can't remember what they said. Typical.

*swoons all over Tool like a Led Zeppelin groupie*

This shit's like Neo Pink Floyd or something.

I think I'm done jabbering on about this album here, so rest easy ^^

I want to introduce you to my new girlfriend, Livejournal )

The sex is pretty mindblowing.
» Backwards/backmasked lyrics!
So apparently in the song Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman) the first part of the "lyrics," which are really a snippet from some medical drama, the line where the doctor says "What's happened? Tell me everything." is "Thank you very much, asshole." in reverse.

Also in the song Intension, there's backmasked lyrics that say "Work hard. Stay in school. Listen to your mother. Your father is right."

You guys are going to have to endure me rambling about this album for a while, as I think it's one of my favorite albums of all time ^_^

I could've sworn that I had something more substantial to talk about, but I forgot what it was.
» As much as I dislike KH games...
I couldn't resist having an icon of a psychodelic Heartless thing doing the cabbage patch.

Edit: Eeeek, looks like I messed up the dimensions somehow. Oh well. I'll fix it tomorrow.

I've become rather enthralled with phoenixes as of late.

Is it just me or does a site that sports 26,396 pictures of the same underage actress strike you as a bit creepy too? Also:

"The Emma Watson Fanpage of the 21st century: 26,396 Emma Watson pictures, about 2,600 Emma Watson news and more than 120MB pure background information on Hermione actress Emma Watson."

Well I certainly hope that there wasn't an Emma Watson Fanpage of the 20th century that showed the same level of obsession, or else my creep-o-meter would shatter.

Lawd. I'm tempted to go into a rant on how detrimental flagrant idol worship is (not referring to religious reasons specifically), but I guess I'll spare you and keep it short here. Celebrities don't deserve the type of worship they receive just for being on a screen. There might be an actor or actress that you like a lot, who has touched you in a good way, but I'm willing to bet that those close to you--the people in life that you love--don't have anybody that they've touched who worship them to the extent that the majority of people look up to celebrities.

I hate how people make such a big deal over them. What have most of them done to advance society?

I sound like such a hippie :P Oh well.

30 second clip of Tool's new song!

I'm normally not the kind of person to go nutso for a band, but I think if I went to a Tool concert I'd be screaming like a 12 year old girl at a Michael Jackson show. Tour. Louisville. Plz.

In other news, I'm wishing that Metroid Prime 3 was playable at E3 last year, as it looks to be playable this year, because I want to fucking play it so badly.

Edit: Holy shit, the full song got leaked. It's fucking awesome. Album of the year 2006? I think so!
