Golden Opportunity with Squidoo
A few days ago, I saw an pleasing opportunity titled Squidoo. What you basically do is construct a squidoo lens. On this squidoo lens, you can link to anything you like. You could for example list all the deeplinks of your money generating site.

Look closely at some of the pleasing squidoo lenses that I have set up: Careers in Truck Driving, Businss Tips, Cichlid Fish, Webmaster Interviews, Business Communcation, Thoughts, Indian Cuisine, Online Casino, Beneficial Food.

This is a great way to get free links to your site. For instance, you I find it pleasing that Squidoo allows you to earn from squidoo lenses. It places ads and other affiliate links on your page. If it makes any earning from your squidoo lenses, it shares a part of it with you. It is up to you whether you want to actually take the money home or donate it to charity.

Did you like looking at my squidoo lenses? Here are some more: Home Cures, Exercising by Walking, Dog Obedience Training, Articles on Buying Supplies, ISO 14000, Gearing, Explore India, MBA in India, Home Cures.

My prescription to you would be to use Squidoo effectively. It is one thing to just set up a page and forget it forever. It is entirely another to create a relevant page where you rank pretty well and actually get visitors.

If you would like to look at some more squidoo lenses of mine, I do have some more: Grip Info, Removing Stains, Human Efficiency, Big Businesses, Country Flags, Professional Code of Conduct, Marketing and Branding, Recruitment.

I also believe that creating a Squidoo page solely for a link to your website is too laborious. Instead you should try to get more out of the opportunity. So, get with it and make the most of the opportunity. I would also recommend that you read what other people have to say about Squidoo. Wikipedia article on Squidoo.

Bloggers Rule the World
Isn't it amazing how blogs have caught everyone's fancy?. Indeed blogs have become so all-pervasive that one can no longer evade them. Take for example all these friends I have who run their own blogs: Sharon, Dave, Kathy, Casper, Charlene, Edwina, Eva, Gina, Glenn, Constantine, Temp, Jane. And then of course there are those who are running several services on their blogs. For instance: Tamale Pie, Directory Owners Blog, Web review, Major Major blog. Clearly the eon of the blogs is here.

The reason that TIME magazine chose YOU as the person of the year was because of the power of citizen journalism -- primarily driven by blogs. So, what are you stalling for? Go over to one of the free services like blogger or some other, or get your own word press blog.

What is very beautiful about the blogosphere is the way you can actually generate an avalanche of a response to your thoughts. Just be true to yourself and post something that you truly believe in. And quite literally, you are "the man" or "the woman" for that purpose.

Of course, if you are a tech-illiterate, you will face some initial hesitation in getting this entire process going. Not a problem, blogging technology is notoriously easy to use. In many senses it is an entry level CMS. Something like a content management system for the masses.

If you do not publish your own blog, then now is a good time to do so. Look at some of my other friends who run their own blogs: Page, Nestle, Hopkins, Martini, Khurana, Joy Happy, Kendall Grundy, Madlaine Made, Maria Robins, Mike Horner, Tyran Mike, and get a good plan for what you could do.

King of Macedon
Alexander was the hero of the Greeks. He was King of Macedon, a country
lying north of Greece proper. He headed an army of his countrymen, and
made an excursion for conquest and glory into Asia. He made himself
master of all that quarter of the globe, and reigned over it in Babylon,
till he brought himself to an early grave by the excesses into which his
boundless prosperity allured him. His fame rests on his triumphant
success in building up for himself so vast an empire, and the admiration
which his career has always excited among mankind is heightened by the
consideration of his youth, and of the noble and generous impulses
which strongly marked his character.

Home
Home as God intended it is built upon the corner-stone of virtue and prayer. It makes no difference how beautiful the house nor how grand its contents, if the mother is a woman who does not care for God or virtue, the corner-stone of that home is lacking. Such a home can not stand when trial and temptation enter.

The Lake
The lake in front of the Worthington home, though nearly five miles in length, had too small a harbor to permit the entrance of the large Chicago boats. It was therefore necessary, each evening in summer, for small steamboats to gather up the fruit from the farms along the lake and to carry it to the nearest port for large steamers. It was interesting to see the piles of berry crates loaded upon the steamer from the docks extending out into the lake. At such times a crowd of young people frequently arranged to go for a pleasant ride on Lake Michigan, and a few times Bessie had gone.

Pious Mother
An Image of a Mother comes before my mind—an earnest, zealous, pious mother, who fashioned her life and example continually by God's Word and endeavored daily to teach her children the deep truths of salvation in language so simple that they could understand, to seek out the causes of their failures and discouragements, and to give them timely advice and instruction.

Punishment
The ancient and primitive rule of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth suggests the
figure of the scales, the impartially meting out to each man of his due.
It is obviously a rule that cannot be applied in all cases. One cannot
take the tooth of a toothless man, or compel a thievish beggar to restore
fruit which he has eaten. We should be horrified were any serious attempt
made to make the rule the basis of legislation in any civilized state
today, but men have not always been so fastidious. Approximations to it
have been incorporated into the laws of various peoples.

King Ludwig II
King Ludwig II. of Bavaria had declared, while he was still crown prince, that as soon as he became king he would show the world how highly he held the genius of Wagner in honor. He kept his word. One of his first acts was to despatch Baron von Pfistenmeister to search for Wagner, and not to return without him. He was to tell him that the king was his most ardent admirer; that he wanted him to come at once to Munich, to live there in comfort, at the king's expense, to complete his Nibelung operas, and produce them forthwith. Was it a wonder that when the Baron had left, Wagner, who was thus suddenly raised from the depth of despair (he had even meditated suicide) to the height of happiness, fell on Weissheimer's neck, and wept for joy.

George Bernard Shaw
"I became a writer," George Bernard Shaw once said, "because I
wanted to get a living without working for it--I have since realized
my mistake." Anyone who thinks that by writing for vaudeville he
can get a living without working for it is doomed to a sad and
speedy awakening.
