Yang Child will update on Thursday. I had jury duty on Monday and wasn't able to finish the page. It will be finished for Thursday, though.

And chapter 7 begins! I have also updated my weekly commentary. Not much is written since there really isn't much to say about the cover pages, but I did post something.

Sorry for the really long break. I need the time to get lots done. I actually did get quite a bit done. I hope you guys are all still coming back to site now that it's started up again. The Tainted Layout is next on the list, after I get the archives for Yang Child done. I'm not sure when I'll get the store done. I'm not sure anyone goes to the store anyway, so it's not a high priority.

I said I would have a new layout of Yang Child up on Tuesday! The only parts not finished are the new store and the archives. I'm still trying to figure out how to layout the store, so that will be a while. The archives should not take too much longer. They're mostly just tedious to do because of all the links I need to copy down. That may come up one chapter at a time.

So, what do you think? Like? Dislike? Is there anything wrong/misspelled/missing that I didn't catch?

Regular comics start Tuesday next week with the Part II cover page. I will have something new up on Thursday, though.

Did I say they'd be up the first week of September? I meant the first complete week of September. Yeah, that's it.

Anyway, it took a while and was hard to decide, but I finally chose the winners for the winged kitty contest. All of the entries were great and thank you to everyone that entered. I chose these three because they added lots of little details in their emails to me. To me, it showed that they put lots of thought and time into them. I'll be getting to the pictures for the winners this weekend (I hope).

Today, I'll be working on the rest of new images for the new layout. My goal is to get those done today and start in on the new layout tomorrow. The new layout shouldn't be too hard, just tedious with the number of pages I need to do. I'm hoping to have it finished and up for Tuesday. The next update for Yang Child will be on Thursday next week. The second part should start Tuesday the 23rd.

Wow! I finally updated the Tainted Commentary. I covered all of the pages I missed, summing up a lot of the end of the chapter. Now, it will be on hiatus until October. If you're looking for some exact days, check the commentary. They're buried in the long post.

Oh, I'm thinking of doing another wallpaper war for Halloween. I thinking it would be fun to do a Yang Child vs. Tainted war this year. Would anyone be interested in that or no?

Tainted has finally updated. Sorry for the really long delay in getting it up. I'll update my commentary on the last few pages of the chapter when I get the very last page of this chapter up on Saturday. Does anyone read those? I can't tell if anyone does or not and if it's worth my time to really post them up.

At the end of this chapter, Tainted will go on hiatus until mid to late October. I don't have an exact date yet. Yang Child will be mid September, though. I'm aiming for the 16th on Yang Child, but it may end up being the 18th. It depends on how the squffies stuff goes. I'm really behind on where I wanted to be by this time in August. I'm going to be working to catch up on those for the next two weeks.

Anyway, my journal may be quite for a while after the Tainted chapter ends, but I will try and keep people updated on what I'm doing. I will also be posting the winged kitty contest winners in the first week of September.

So, today's great piece of fan art come from Merlin who does DHS Comix. I have one more bit of art from her for Thursday. I'm also look for questions and letter to the characters. So, now that Yang Child is going on hiatus until September, I'll be taking fan art and questions for the characters on the forums. Fan Art goes here and will be added as either a Tuesday or Thursday update. If you have ever had something you wanted to ask or say to one of the characters, go check out this thread. You can ask or say anything you like and the characters will answer them.

Tainted will update this weekend, but it might not update until Sunday. The 4th of July (US's independence day) is Friday and I'll be heading to a party that evening. If I don't have Tainted done before I go, it will update on Sunday. It will update this weekend, though. Then it's off to work on the first big Squffies story. Yang Child and my Yang Child commentary have updated. I got it done the night before! Huzzah!

The west is burning! If you're not aware, the western part of the US is burning. There are over 800 fires going on in California right now. What's worse is that all that smoke is currently blowing into my area right now. There are fires burning all around my area so there is no wind to move the smoke out, only to bring more in. The smoke is so bad right now that you can't see any stars at night, and during the day. everything has an orange haze to it. I've never seen it this bad before.

All this smoke is irritating my eyes terribly, and I'm not in any sensitive ground. My little kitty Miles is, though. He has a breathing problem, though I'm not sure exactly what his problem is. He just has trouble breathing through his nose when he starts running up and down the hallway a few times normally. I don't want to know what this is doing to his little lungs. He wont stay inside, though. He get's horribly behaved if we try and keep him in and starts bouncing off the furniture, literally. I feel so bad for him. He hates to be cooped up, but this air is really not good for him and he's not running around as much outside as it is. We've been keeping him in as much as possible, though.

I hope they can get some of these fires under control soon. Those poor firefighters out there must be suffering from exhaustion by now. Shame we can't get some of that rain flooding everyone on the Mississippi River sent here. I know they would be happy to pass it to us if they could. The weather this year has just been insane.

No Tainted this week. Sorry. I was working on squffies until 8:30 last night so I didn't really have time to get Tainted sketched out. I'll use today to get some new voting incentives done for both comics instead. It's been forever since I updated those.

Yang Child and my Yang Child commentary have updated. I also have a new kitty entry for you to take a look at. There's only 2 weeks left of updates for Yang Child and then it wont be back until September.

Tainted will probably not update this week. I have a lot of stuff I need to get done for Squffies before tomorrow and don't have Tainted even sketched out yet. I might pull off something tonight and miraculously get it sketched and inked tonight, but don't count on it. I'll post here tomorrow if it is going to be done.

Sorry it took so long to get to it today. Had some issues this morning and ended put driving for a few hours. I really need to start getting this stuff written up the night before. I'll try and do that for Yang Child next week.

Tainted has about 4-6 weeks of updates left before this chapter ends and Tainted goes on hiatus. I say 4-6 because how many pages it ends up depends on how I break up the scenes and how much I put on each page. I would like it to be 4 pages, but it will probably end up being 6. I'll know more when I get closer to the end.
