Made pikelets for breakfast, watched Series One of The Good Life on dvd with Sean, then two dvds he got out, Sweeney Todd and Kokoda, which were both ok but struck me as drawing heavily from other films. Reading and watching tv for the rest of the night.

There's an enormous white ring around the full moon tonight and it glows! I tried to take a picture of it, but it didn't work. Sean says it's something to do with ice crystals in the atmosphere.

Today I did shopping, made soup, did dishes and vacuuming, made carrot cake and entertained Hazel Now I'm about to do more dishes and tidy up a little before my friends arrive for soup, cake and drinks. (:

In the news tonight: the Ministry of Health has indicated that they would not completely oppose the legalization of marijuana use for medicinal purposes, however the methods wold be costly and the amount of references needed and paperwork to fill out would be Enough to make your eyes water quote unquote.

Also, people are suspected to have reverted to hunting and gathering to fill their pantries, because of the increased cost of meat.

I've just started taking the Health Research Institute's Pfeiffer Primer IV Dietary Supplements, which are used treat biochemical imbalances (including ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, post traumatic stress syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease).

Blood test results showed that I have Pyroluria, which these supplements ($40 for 100 capsules) should help with.

I never knew that there were dietary supplements for people like myself, or tests which could reveal this much information! All of my research has really paid off! The Tart Cherry Juice is helping with my insomnia and depression a lot. I've been off my antidepressants for about 2-3 months now, and have been feeling pretty good. Less mood swings, less often - all good!

Am thinking about buying a breadmaker once I've paid off some bills, so that I can try some gluten-free recipes.

Have cut back on dairy because the prices are SO high here at the moment. It's ridiculous! NZ produces heaps of fresh meat, vegetables, fruit and dairy products, yet studies have shown that increasing numbers of people can't afford to buy them! The bulk of these products are exported to buyers overseas. Foodbanks are struggling to keep up with an increased demand for aide. The price of fruit and veges has risen by 8% in the last year!

In a few years time, there is going to be a HUGE problem because more people will suffer from malnutritition, osteoporosis etc as a result. Health-care will struggle to keep up with the rising number of costs and patients.

It really makes me wonder what the future holds ...

Mum gave me a bunch of her old clothes because now that she's had her breast reduction they don't fit her anymore. Which is handy, but it kinda weirds me out that I have the same breast/bra size she did. My body's starting to look more like hers as I get older. I have four inches on her though! Mum's only five feet two inches. I'm five six.

One action has tremendous power to heal and transform. One choice, to care for one being, extends far beyond that one thing.

Joko Beck says. "As long as our buttons are pushed, we have a chance to learn and grow. So a relationship is a great gift, not because it makes us happy - it often doesn't - but because any intimate relationship, if we view it as practice, is the clearest mirror we can find."

Found this interesting link showing the three stages of a FTM sex change, and what the results look like after each is completed whilst commenting on a friend's LJ entry.

Interesting! (:

It seems that in the desire for sexual engagements there is an urge to connect deeply, to go to the bottom of everything, below the levels of words and social veneer, to the realm of smell, taste, touch, animal sensation. And beyond that, to enter into a kind of meditative process - an uncovering - that can only occur in the mirror of a relationship. It seems that a truly intimate relationship entails going through feelings of hatred, hopelessness, and otherness again and again, going through them and learning that they can pass.
