Art class(es) is going to kill me DEAD.

My brain has imploded over the amount of work that has to be done. And dude, I cannot paint in The Fauves style at all. At least it's fun though.

Nnnnghh. I'm taking Art portfolio prep to help me get a reasonable portfolio for artschool.

I have to get a theme, a statement, draw abillion millions times a week, and well. Make it all comprehensible. I've done this kind of thing before, but on a lot smaller level. A LOT smaller. And like, that's only one art class. I still have another.

I'm kind of on a mental block for a theme, because the things I want to do make my art teacher scoff. I'm going to think reeeeaaaally hard in the next few days, because I like. Needed the theme yesterday.

So like, lately I've been wibbling over the size of HBP. I want it to be long. (who needs editing? *snorts*) So I can spend all day slowly reading it.

From the latest packaging pics from http://www.veritaserum.com/ it looks to be a decent size. Uhm, yay. *glee*

Also, did anyone else hear about the HBP book going on sale on July 7th in Canada? The article is on the above website. (It's about half way down the page and called: HBP sold early, additional injunction obtained)

Some people are gonna get fired. And like, really. I hope they do. Even though I want to get my hands on the book NOW, I am enjoying the build up muchly. It's a very cool thought that at 9am on Saturday, people will be squealing excitedly all over the world at the same instant. ^__^

I'll have a handful of drawbles up later on tonight. Most of them have been drawn. Heh, it's great to be busy right now, or I think I would explode over all the pre-HBP jutters that have just hit me today.

And yeah, the HBPOMGYAY glee feeling left me for a couple of weeks, yet it hit me full force again this morning. Which is good, becuase it's the best feeling in the world. I so love being a geek. :D

Okay, so.

My tablet is refusing to work properly in the only program I use for colouring-Open Canvas. I think it has something to do with pen pressure and XP. My tablet does not have pen pressure, yet Open Canvas keeps insistng it must--even when I turn off the pen pressure. Meaning, I cannot even draw a straight line.

I've tried re-installing, googling for OP tablet trouble shooting. I've searched the OPhelp FAQ many times. No go.

Meaning-- I need to buy a new tablet. And make sure it's wacom, so I have no future problems.

I also have finally found a site which sells Comicworks, which I need horribly badly for my manga.

Comicworks is $100Uusd not including postage, and a new tablet will be at least $200.

Uhm. SHIT.

No more friday funlands for me, or any other expenses. (except the HP book, like. Duh.) I really need these tools. I cannot colour right now which is making me horribly distressed. As I really want to colour my DC fanart. Angst.

I also have to somehow get both tablet and Comicworks before August 1st, so I can get my manga completed by August 10th, and sent off before the deadine.

I am wailing so much right now. Arrgh. I need these thing like, NOW. But considering how much it will all cost--I have no idea whether I will be able to afford it by August.

*sighs* To own all the professional tools so I can reach my aspired level of art is more than a bit annoying. I want my art to be the best I can possibly make it, esp. since it is being published. *bangs head*

I think the tablet will have to be first priority. As I have no idea if the tablet I am using now will work with Comicworks. Open canvas and Deleter comicworks programs have the same setup. I can only afford one by August. Meaning I will probably not be able to get my next installment of my manga up to the level I want it to be at.

I am very very frustrated right now. And upset. But I managed to make the last chapter of Nightgate look alright without comicworks, so wah. I suppose I can do it again.

I need to now go figure out when I will have money for a tablet. Yay, budgeting.
