I just completed my first knitting project. Despite the mistakes I made in it, I'm proud of myself.
I made it for Basil and he likes it. Next up is a scarf for myself involving some fuzzy purple stuff and soft black and purple stuff. Got a couple other things I wanna make, but I can't get the yarn and needles for them till monday. Walmart doesn't have what I need and I refuse to use metal needles.

Here we are folks, my LAST semester in college. I'm terrified to say the least, but I'll do this.
...the only problem is do WHAT?
My advisor wants us to pretty much come up with our own semester plans for graphic design. I know that I want this semester to be devoted to making new pieces for my show. I just wish I knew what I wanted to do with my show. I think I'll try and pump out 1 piece every 2 weeks. That's reasonable, right? I can work relatively fast like that.
I think what's killing me the most is the fact that I have an 8 am class and I've gotten used to sleeping in till 8/9ish. I set my alarm for 6:30, giving myself time for breakfast and maybe a shower when I don't lay there in bed for a while. This morning it went off, just as planned... but I went back to sleep till 7:30. My head has been hurting every morning, I think it's from waking up so early. The only question then is why does it still hurt when I go to sleep 2 hours earlier than usual? Wish I could figure it out.
Money is a pain too. My student loans are still at large and I therefore owe $1700.05 to the school. Luckily, my grandparents love me and loaned me some money till they come through. So now I only owe 3/4 of that bill. I have till September 15th for them to come through, or I pay again. I want to keep my money!
Ah well, I live. Things are tough, but I live and eventually, I will prosper. Wish me luck.

Went to see them this weekend, it was the first time I'd ever seen them. AND GOD WAS IT MADE OF AWESOME!!!
Apparently, the Ogden Theatre was remodelled. I dunno what it was like before, but it's nice now.
So here's the adventure:
10:30 - Drop Juneau off at Dara's so she can play with her friends Rocky and Tang while we're gone. Head off to Denver. The drive was cop central. If I recall, on 285 there were 2 ambulances, a prison transport vehicle and at least 6 cops.
2:30ish - Arrive in Denver and try to find the hotel. We called the place and got directions. The receptionist forgot got 1 vital direction that could have saved us a good 20 minutes of searching: DON'T GO THROUGH THE TUNNEL!! Rawr..
3:20ish - Walk around downtown since the show doesn't start till 8. We made fun of Hot Topic and I drooled in a comic store. We discovered a place called "Rave's" which apparently was in the area of what used to be a CD store. The name is misleading. It's my new favorite store downtown. They had pirate coats (nice ones, not the cheap halloween ones) and some other fabulous clothing. I now own a new hat (pictures later).
6:00 - Arrive at the Ogden so I can pick up the tickets. The line has started forming, but it's not long as of yet.
6:10 - Ticket window still hasn't opened. I wait patiently. A hobo compliments my hat.
6:30 - Doors are supposed to open at 7, window still not open. Starting to get a little hungry, so Sarah runs to 7-11 and gets me a sammich.
6:45 - 20 minutes ago I was told the window would be open in 20 minutes... hmm...
7:10 - FINALLY window is open. I get the tickets and dash down the line to meet up with everyone. They tell me the story of the drunken hobo they scared off. We get in the theatre and I pick up a couple shirts and a pin for my hat. It's been decided that I'm part of the Irish mob at this point because of my hat.
8:15 - First band: Rolling Blackout from CA. SUCK. I had a headache 1/2 way through their set.
9:10 - Second Band: Scoth Greens from ID. AWESOME. They're first CD comes out on the 4th, it will be mine!
10:00 - MOLLY!!!!!!! It was so loud that I couldn't hear myself singing at the top of my lungs. They put on one hell of a show. I've never rocked so hard in my life. I have little voice left at the moment and a slight after-show headache still.
11:43 - They finish their encore and I am in awe. I wish I could have gotten an autograph or something. Who didn't?
12:00 - Meet up with friends of Garth for a ride to the hotel. We would have walked but our feet hurt from all the dancing and jumping. I think I got a full work out at the show.
2:00 am - People finally start to sleep/leave the hotel room. Garth learns why treadmills should be used with caution.
7:45 am - My phone rings, I miss the call. About 5 minutes later, Garth comes over saying Brittany's been calling (the chick we left Juneau with). She let the dogs out, Juneau without a leash, and Juneau didn't come back. Duh, we TOLD her only take her out with a leash. She only comes to Sarah or me (if I'm calling her into my car). We get up and head for Gunny.
2:00 - Pull into the lot, Sarah gets a call from Julie (neighbor). "Where are you guys? We found Juneau in the baseball field." Everyone's glad she's fine. I was quite shocked to find that Julie caught her, I was under the impression that the only people Juneau would even respond to were me, Sarah, and Dara.
Everyone's home, safe and sound, though how good their hearing is can be debated at the moment. I NEED to find out when they'll be in town again.

I promised an update, so here it is.
I'm officially done with finals. HUTTAH! More time for drawing! One of the advanced students in watercolor chewed me out last week because she found out that I wouldn't be continuing in the class. All because of this piece I did for my final. Despite not being able to take more watercolor classes, I have every intention of continuing to use watercolor.
I finally got around to writing more Jikoshia. 9 pages completed, thus ending this chapter. I'm not updating the site yet, I'm going to do a major update come New Year's, new layout and all. Should prove to be shiny, especially since I got some handy dandy shiny fonts as opposed to Comic Sans >*<
I'm currently trying to challenge myself as far as comics go. Ryu and I are attempting to put together a story, one that would require me to draw things that aren't human and a LOT of technology. Wish me luck.
Xmas is coming, most of my shopping is done. I'm just waiting for one last present to be shipped before I go home for the holidays. Stupid thing's been backordered twice now. This does not make me a happy camper.
I don't have a whole lot to say at the moment. Overall, life it pretty good. Sarah FINALLY got her truck to start and got me a new steering wheel cover since mine was falling apart and she borrowed my car a lot while hers was dead. It's purple and fuzzy and has dragonflies on it!
I think I need to find more American comics to read. I don't think I'm well versed enough in the ways of Marvel or Dark Horse and such yet. Wow.. that sounded extremely geeky of me.. Hey! It's research, I swear!
I wonder how well watercolor and comics would work together... hmm.. I sense an experiment coming on. I'm gonna need more bristol board or something stiff like that. Updates to come on that one.
Oh, one last bit before I go. Something just for the shock value. I've decided to limit myself to 2 pepsis a week. That's it. ...Once again, wish me luck.

Well, I still have yet to update my comic.
I still have yet to defeat the game that is Neverwinter Nights.
I still have yet to finishing coding my site for the Pathfinder.
The end of the semester draws closer and closer. Next week I should (weather permiting) be at my parents' house. I expect to be confronted by my sister as it has been brought to my attention that she has come across and interesting lj entry. *ahem*
Life is decent. Busy, but decent. I need to find a new ISP. Adelphia can kiss my ass. We needed to switch the name on the bill to mine as opposed to a friend's since she doesn't live here (it was under her name because the cable guy was late and I had to be in class). They had to make a whole new account for me, close the old one, change my service to a slower connection because they didn't have the same special going on (otherwise I'd be paying twice what I was for the connection). DSL is looking pretty nice right about now.
It makes me kinda sad that I have had no time or desire to write. I really should. It's been so long. I'm suprised no one's emailed me about it yet.
We'll just see how things go for now.

Wow... I actually updated. Amazinating. All right, well here's the update on what's been taking up ALL of my time.
1) Amadeus: The play lasted till the 22nd, all went relatively well. Major kudos from the edudicator as well as friends, peers, and parents. I had a ton of fun in the process, despite all the stress it placed upon me.
2) Work: Been putting in a good 20 hours or so a week, though I do enjoy my work for the most part. Just kinda wish it was a little less messy on ocassion, but ink is squishy fun.
3) DVDs: My CD drive was on the verge of dying, the DVD portion has keeled over. So I thought "this is a great excuse to upgrade!" So I did and have proceeded to put all of my anime to DVD. Put a good 30 series to 20 discs as opposed to 4 discs for one series.
4) Class: Naturally, this has taken up most of my time as it is my senior year and my classes require a fair deal of work.
5) Significant Other: As many of you already know, my guy, Basil, has been visiting for about 2 weeks now and will be here for just under 1 more. He helped me install the DVD drive and is currently messing with my compy to make it faster and happier. So far, things with him have been fantastic.
6) Jikoshia: I FINALLY updated my site. 4 new pages. Methinks updates are going to be a bit on the scarce side for a while. At least till I figure out how to balance work, class, and drawing time.
That's really about it. Life is busy, but life is good.

Ok, well I had intended to be off work early today so that I could be home, get some homework done and get to rehearsal. Turns out, I left my lights on and my battery had died. Spent about and hour trying to jump it (THANKS AGAIN AYRN AND BOB!!). So I'm driving around for a while as suggested per Bob and just as I'm about to turn into Taco Bell for some grub I witness a nice little accident. Everyone was fine, but it was still something I did not want to have to witness. So I now have 5 minutes to eat before I need to leave for rehearsal. Methinks I'll be up late again. Grawr...

Ugh.. why are the doctor's offices all CLOSED over the weekend? I mean, couldn't you be open past noon on Saturday? Nope, course not. I get to wait till tomorrow before class (possibly missing class because if it, though I probably would have skipped anyway) to see a doctor. I KNOW I've got strep. Symptoms started Friday, but I knew that the doc would say "oh, we can't tell if it's strep till a day after symptoms start." So I waited till my lunch break on Saturday and started calling offices. EVERYONE is closed till monday. Dammit. So here I am, chugging tea, hacking up a lung, and drowning in kleenex till tomorrow. I really hope this doesn't make me miss rehearsals. I kinda sorta need those so I can act right. Don't wanna disappoint anyone, particularily not myself. Let's face it though, the rest of the cast and crew would KILL me if I spread it to them.
Gonna go make more tea.

Classes finally began as many of you already know. Went to the photo class like I told Harry I would so that I could get enrolled finally. We decide to talk to Al about it sometime this morning. I go over to the financial aid office to make SURE my loans and such went through. Found out I don't get work study this year. Buttmunkis. Without work study, I have no reason to be in the photo lab. Without reason to be in the photo lab, I have no reason to take the class. Without a reason to take the class, I have to wait. T_T
On the upside, that means I don't have class till 10.
On the downside, that means I don't have extra income.
On the upside, that means sleep.
On the downside, that means less credits towards graduating.
Le sigh, ah well. I was gonna be here another semester anyways.
Job Status: Working hard, probably gonna be cut down to half days for a while. Will be working Saturdays till hunting season is over.
House Status: My room still needs cleaning, Sarah's stuff almost completely put away. Things are good. Should have internet by the end of the week, next Wednesday latest.
Comic Status: Finally got to working on it again. Been whipping out about 2 pages or more a day, still need to tone them but that doesn't take much.
Pepsi Status: Probably gonna need another refill soon, but it'll last another day or so.

It's been raining almost constantly here. BIG downpours. I made the mistake of wearing a tank top and sandals to go to the library... let's see if I can wait out the rain before I leave. I don't ever recall seeing this much rain around here. Though, I've never been in Gunnison this long before school, so I could be crazy in thinking it's odd.
Anywho, an update.
Job Status - will be working probably 15 hours a week at the screen printer's. The only other place that called back was Boomerang and that was at 10:30 this morning. My job should prove to be fun, especially once I get the hang of Corel so I can do the design work and such.
Moving Status - finally got off my butt yesterday and cleaned up the living room. There's only 1 small box left there and it's sitting out of the way. My room is about half-finished being cleared out. I moved a box to the storage unit seeing as I won't need a lot of that stuff in a while. It's pretty much just papers and such that needs to be put away.
Internet Status - called up Qwest to get some of their deals/rates and such. I'm gonna wait till Sarah gets back to make a decision on that since she's gonna be paying for the stuff too.
