I have a job!! Provided that everything checks out okay with my references, I get to fill out the mind-numbing but necessary paperwork on monday!!!!!!
The position is full-time with benefits starting after 90 days. it's a .50 cent pay cut from what I was making at Riverside, but between not having to pay for the gas to commute, and it being 40 hrs/wk vs. 28hrs/wk, I'll be fine!
My mom is giving me a little christmas money, since she finally realized a few years ago that I'm happier buying my own presents (and I think she's happier not always really knowing *what* I buy..). I decided that I'm going to see if I can use it to get Eowyn some dance lessons.
She LOVES to dance, and does these leaps around the house and goes "Mommy!! Look!! I'm a 'rina!!!!" which makes my heart just about melt with the cute. Granted, if i can't afford it, it's not life shattering for her. But I started ballet when I was 3, and did it until my knees broke down around 10. I loved it. I'd love for her to see where it takes her, you know?
I just don't want to have to limit her b/c I can't afford something. My mom paid out tons for my ballet and horseback riding over the years. She never told me I could't go to a lesson, or that I couldn't do something b/c of money. I'm sure there were more than a few nights she sat up wondering where the money would come from, but she made it happen for me. I love her for that, and I want to do the same for Eowyn. Always. I want my daughter to be able to do what she loves...
