Trip to the WGT festival in Leipzeg, Germany

(Written when I got back)
So Im back from Germany…Im in a candle-light jazzy mood so pardon my lack of energy as I write this….I feel like I slowly floated down from a soft puffy cloud in heaven, and just touched the real, brittle, harsh and dry ground…feels weird after being moist for an entire 5 days.
I’ve never seen so many beautiful people in my life…faces, skin tones, eyes, voices, languages, costumes…you name it. German people have it going on, and I mean this in every sense of the phrase. It’s settled, I cannot move there, for I would become a hoe, a dirty dirty hizzo. Plain and simple, just too hot to resist, both men and women.
I met up with Sean and Rachel (
___io___ ) at the hotel, Im glad I caught up with them, for I was planning on jumping around Germany all by my self, considering there were about 25k people at the festival, I figured I probably wouldn’t find them in the vast multitude…but sure enough, as I walked into the Marriot cursing up a storm bc my check card wouldn’t work, Sean was sitting there, with a big fat smile on his face “You made It, Hooooraaay!”
Our days were spent mostly in a place called “The Agra Hall”, where tons of “black” (as they call us dark folks there) people hung around shopping. You could find any possible gothy, fetishy, punk thing you could ever think of …I purchased a corset there and a metal chocker to name a few. One thing we found interesting, was how the Goth and the Punk people all hung out together…there was no separation as there is here in Atlanta…we were just all there, partying, into the same type of stuff, wanting to have a good time. Rachel and I seemed to get lots of attention on several occasions, especially with photographers…Im assuming our outfits were pretty cool to them, which I can understand when they wanted a picture of Rachel, but me? That just blew my mind…at one point we had about 20 photographers surrounding us…it was surreal…I didn’t know how to act really.
German people are also some of the nicest folks I’ve met, nicer than Ecuadorians…they Love Americans too… and as soon as you would ask “do you speak English?” 90% of them would answer, oh yes, little. You don’t need German to get around <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />
Our evenings were spent in several concerts; I caught Hocico’s first couple of songs, specially “Ecos”, my favorite of all time. On Monday I caught psyclon nine, WHAT A SHOW! I want to marry the main guy…*sigh* he was amazing! Talk about crowd control…God he had it all. I also met Hocico afterwards and then saw them again at the after party. It was So RaD!!
Our nights were spent in the most amazing underground (no really, it was UNDER-GROUND) club, I never imagined such a place really existed…4 different dance floors and DJ’s, castle/ mid-evil like architecture…and for what I was told, it was used as a hide out for the troops while at war, which I can understand with all the tunnels and things it had inside…just…WOW. At one point Rachel, some HAWT German friends we made there and I, were all standing on the stage in a little hole towards the back. I remember Rachel turning towards me and saying “Wow, this is like…a Goth Rave”…and sure enough, as I turned towards the dance floor, there was a crowd of hundreds of Goths jumping to the same thumping sound, throwing their arms towards the ground, and every now and then one would look up with their demon colored eyes, as if searching for air, nurturing the ecstasy of the moment…and the music…and the steam building around them. “We all died that weekend, and went to heaven”.
It was one of those trips that I would write an entire book about…but I don’t have time to. I do have some pictures to show, so hope everyone enjoys and gets a glimpse of what I experienced there…I also wrote some stuff while on the plane going to, and while on the plane coming back from…but in Spanish as I usually write my deepest thoughts…(in a later post)
I love traveling…
