Movies watched last night:

- The Proposition, which was quite not what I expected, but not bad.
- Night at the Museum, which was a lot better than I anticipated, with much gayness. I think I've read some fic from this...
- Fantastic Four, which was blah dee blah and gods, I wanted to slap that Torch guy so hard.
- The Dark Knight. Just because. *hearts*

Things done after work:

- went on a short drive with my boss. Awkward! Yeah.
- went to pick up my DVD drive.
- played with my new DVD drive.
- showed my poor flatmate some mvids, Penn&Teller and other stuff.

Now I have this very silly urge to scribble down some idiotic ficlets about a kid whose mom and dad have divorced and his dad is now seeing another man. Please, someone stop me!

Okay, so Little Britain USA...

The weird thing is, I never even noticed the laugh track on Little Britain before. Had to go to YouTube and watch those Sebastian and Prime Minister bits like half a dozen times before I even realized they had the same damn track over them too.

Now I wonder just how many episodes will they air until this new show gets canceled. I'd say it'll be a miracle if they air more of this.

The new House was excellent. Heartbreaking but excellent, and that's usually the best way. As long as there's still some hope, that is. I'm really looking forward to watching this season.

Stopped watching the Tudors after the first season. Did glance at how they deal with what happens to Thomas Moore and Anne Boleyn. but other than that, meh. Maximising misery. Not that history wasn't all about killing and back stabbing, but anyway. I don't have to watch it.

Also... Sam Neill! OMG That old fart just broke my heart.

Just realized it's about exactly 10 years since I wrote my first Batman slash fic. Yeah. Time does seem to fly. Old bitter fandom queen? Me?

I may have watched Batman Begins again today. There's just so much pretty in that movie! Also, in addition to the whole Bruce and Gordon thing, I keep seeing more tension between the old guys. But hey, anything with Morgan Freeman is a good thing, right?

Should go and read some crap, just to see if it actually makes sense while I'm high on meds and fever. Maybe I'll try to read that book, Twilight, to see why everyone's babbling about it.

I wonder if it's the autumn or something else, but I seem to exist in a weird haze. It's dark and I'm constantly tired. Yippee.

Should probably do something fun soon, maybe some shopping on Monday. Not that retail therapy saves the day, but it won't hurt either. I think I need more socks anyway. And maybe a nice new scarf.

I'm working on a fic where someone is obsessed with food, going a bit mental and stuffing his face all the time, hoarding food.

Now I wonder how Enid Blyton ever managed to write her Famous Five books. If the characters keep eating constantly, it means the author keeps thinking about food all the time.

All the damn time.

Thus far, I've managed to keep it with a cup of hot chocolate and some nectarine, but I think I'd better drop this part of the fic and work on the porn plot or something. Otherwise I'll end up raiding the fridge again.

I keep watching fics appear on the various lists I'm following, and they're all WIPs. Every single one of them. This is making me feel way old school. Not to mention just old.

Also, am slipping from my old rule of not reading WIPs. We all know how this will end, right? Yeah, with me whining and complaining and ranting. I bet you're all looking forward to it...

Have been listening to John Barrowman's music, and am still in awe with his version of Bryan Adams' Heaven. Also, that song from Beauty and the Beast made me go all sniffle.

Which reminds me... Is there anyone in the earth who actually liked the prince in Beauty and the Beast (Disney) and preferred him to the Beast? Anyone? Like... Anywhere? No?

Managed to sleep for four hours (my fault! spent the night writing) and then had a weird Hamlet dream. It was kind of about David Tennant, but he was sometimes Mr. Nose, so I have no idea who eventually played the whiny Prince of Denmark. The production went from excellent to terrible, and I seem to remember there were boobies somewhere.

I woke up around the time Hamlet was asking Ophelia out over burgers. Maybe it's better that way.

This is quite likely some kind of a sign! Or a stress reaction from all the work. Weird. I'm not even going to see the RSC production for another 3 months.

The Dark Knight was awesome on the second viewing, and then incredible on the third. I still get all misty eyed at certain parts, and whoa. Now the bunnies are kind of eating my life, but I can bet I won't actually finish writing any of them. Oh well. It's not like there's a huge following for Batman/Gordon anyway...

What is it with these angsty characters anyway? Well, angsty or then somehow odd, or at least an odd couple. Hey, I'm thinking about a dude in a rubber suit. You can't get much stranger than that.

I need a Jim Gordon icon. Have I mentioned that I have a thing for Gary Oldman? Yeah. Kinda goes without saying.

So yeah, it's no secret that I find the whole Fandom Secret thing rather ridiculous. Whenever it's one of those 'secrets' where I'd hit it or I ship it, I wonder why bother to call something like that a secret. Whenever someone says they couldn't tell their friends X I wonder why they keep such lousy friends.

Today's been an excellent day. :) Went to see the Casa de Bunnies and spent hours just babbling about everything.

Need to watch History Boys, but while waiting for my copy, I'd like to read some fic! Gimme!

I'm now contemplating on making that anti-rec list with suggestions appreciated. We need to list the worst of the worst! Bathing fics! Daddy!tops with no warnings! Weepy guys and helpless idiots!

Just finished watching Letters from Iwo Jima. I have the feeling I should say something profound, but am so in awe, I can't think of anything.

Well, I guess I can always say whoa.

The Flags of our Fathers wasn't bad, but it didn't make me as awed as this one. Though I must say the old stone face can direct. Yeah.

Also watched Death of a President a few days ago, and I still feel totally freaked out by it. Amazingly done, and the whole story arc was more than believable.

I guess the one thing connecting these movies is the feeling of disillusionment. Have rarely seen WWII movies with such harsh view on everything, feeling more like those Vietnam stories than the second 'great war'. No nationality (or if you count DoaP, religion) can claim the role of a hero.

Once again. Whoa.

Now I wonder if a few rather shallow comments about Ken Watanabe would totally ruin this post? Yeah, thought so. Therefore, will only say that the acting was awesome. ;)

Also, after the other movies I've watched lately (OMG 10 000 bc!), my faith in the movie industry has now been restored. At least for a while...
