Now comes the time to choose. Should I go to two Harry Potter conventions next year, or do one convention and one [other trip] that is To Be Announced... It's getting to be the first price hike for Leaky Con, and that would be the one I'd substitute.

In other news, I will be having a job interview at [major airline] soon. It's better pay than I make now, does not involve flying, and will give me and family free plane rides. That will be pretty much awesome. So here's hoping I get it and can complete this semester without scheduling conflict.


In other news, the hobo community user on computer number 1 smells heavily of mothballs and cologne. Or maybe it's some sort of mothball-scented cologne... Do they make that? What am I saying, of course they make that! Cologne, as far as I can tell, is intended to have an overpowering stench, so as to make women pass out. Thus immobilized, these ladies are easy to drag back to one's cave by their hair.
When I was very young I used to wonder why anyone would want to crush moths into a ball. Now I wonder why that's not how mothballs are made.

Last night's party was really fun. I am amazed at the turn out! I'll post pictures soon. Rosie won the costume contest as Wii Girl. Sketch was Ronald McDonald Joker, Lina came as me, there were some fancy people, plain clothed people, Snidely Whiplash and victim, a pirate, Satan, and various others.
There was lots of alcohol and a lot of talking and mingling the entire time, and everyone seemed to be having fun. The Necronomicake was overly sweet, but everyone loved it. Some random guys from my apartments tried to get in and my brother played bouncer and got them to leave. Someone in the building called the cops on us, so we had to keep it down and I had to spend the last hour and a half shushing people and keeping their volume down. We played some Werewolf because it can be quiet. Then eventually people left around 3:30am. Thanks to everyone who came out and made my night! Pictures soon as I clear space on my computer.


I had so much fun, which is why it sucks that I'm depressed today. I'm depressed about my apartments and the fact that they seem to be trying to kick me out. I believe they really like the money that comes from a broken lease. They gave me a notice of "lease violation" due to "unsanitary conditions" in my apartment. What? Anyone who's seen my apartment can tell you that it's bare and pretty damn clean. Especially when they "inspected". How stupid. They're inspecting on October 3rd, so I guess I'll clean up my room and make Emmy clean her room. That one might be the reason for the "unsanitary conditions" rating. But every problem has a solution, so I'll clean my room Monday.

I'll post pictures soon of Josh and Jessica's wedding. I only have a few pics, as usual, but they're pretty good ones. Also, eventually, I'll get the rest of my Dragon con post up.

Piratepalooza was a blast. I love me some pirates. Everyone that wasn't there was apparently told the tale of the legendary red wig. Bob was in love with it, as was everyone else. I guess I just don't see it. I always just look like me to me. I think my favorite part of the palooza was the party in the ladies room. Funny stuff.


Right now I'm getting things ready for my birthday party. It's Heroes Vs. Villains themed. My cake is the Necronomicon and my costume is The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight. Boom, baby, boom! I'm excited to see if anyone dresses up. I have a feeling few will, but I'd like to be pleasantly surprised.

Ian got me Dr. Steel's first and second albums, so I'll be enjoying that for a while. Emmy got me a creepy man mask and bacon salt. Mmmm, creepy men and bacon.

Anyone coming to my Heroes vs. Villains party that wants to bring food or music, please do! I will have hotdogs, chips and cake, as well as various fine boozes, but the only non-alcohol drinks are soda, so anything you want to bring would be great!

I just wanted to ask one question. Am I lame for wanting to dread my hair? Actually, I'm thinking I might get some short fake DE dreads and braid them into my hair so that I don't actually have to deal with dreaded hair. But, yeah, I think I'd look pretty good with dreads, but I'm not always the best judge on what looks good (for example, see my stripes outfit a few posts back). I am probably still going to get them if everyone thinks they'll look horrible, I'll just keep them a shameful secret and wear them when nobody is looking.

Heroes vs. Villains Party
To celebrate me turning a year less young.

Come dressed as a Hero or a Villain of your choice, or make one up. Seen Dr. Horrible? Mystery Men? Just throw on a mask  or gloves and have some sort of gimmick. There will be drinks, mixers, and plenty of games of Werewolf, Mad Scientist University, and various other games.

Come one, come all!

Off to the Hyatt to get early room and drop off shtuff. I've got one big suitcase and various odds and ends that crush easily. Then I will come back home for about one our or less... just enough time to basically pay rent and get ready for school. Go to class, run to the pre-reg line, wait for a long period of time, and finally have a badge.

So here I am, cuddled up on my bed with scissors, needles, an exactoknife, and a tailcoat. I'm rushing to get as much done as possible before class and while Ian's not here. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate his help, but he tends to just make more work for me and then sit there working on something that doesn't need to be worked on. I am hoping to get everything done here so that we can go help the Outlanders finish.

We were supposed to go last night, but he ended up sidetracking me and I fell asleep earlier than I intended to. I'm not letting that happen again, though, or else he's getting a punch in the gut... Or where most normal people have guts.

Anywhoo! I'm going to pack tonight after Improv while I wait for Veronica to come get the room money from me and Ian. I invited Ian to come to Improv tonight so that he wouldn't feel left out of the spontaneous improv fun at Dragon Con, but right now he's just sort of irritating me.

I suppose when he gets a Livejournal I'll have to stop writing less than glowing reviews of him, huh?

Those poor kids. My dad wanted to name me Kitty. In case you didn't know, my name would then be Kitty Katz. Jesus H. Laserbeams, what a horrible name! Only way to make that worse would be to give me a middle name that starts with K.

Anyways, I have withdrawn from Philosophy, (or as I would like to call it, Sadness 101) and I feel much better for it. I also cut and bleached my hair last night, and helped bleach gryphonclaw's hair. I cut mine too short, oops. Then I finished Ian's tailcoat, minus the button holes. Yay, progress!

Florida seems to be passing their storm on to Georgia, which we really don't appreciate. Though I don't go outside much during Dragon Con, I think it would still suck were it storming during the con.

Two days left on Laser Jesus. Get him while supply lasts! One easy payment of however much you pay!

As soon as I get the ok from Shelby, I'm dropping my Philosophy class and returning the text book. It shouldn't effect my GPA, student assistant position, or HOPE scholarship. This class is really not helping me not slip back into depression. It's usually easy to avoid, but this class is casting a huge shadow. Better to drop it and have a W than get a C and a fresh case of depression.


But the good news is that the tailcoat is sorta close to being done, then I need to fix my skirt and weight my hood. Also, I need to cut and bleach my hair. I think we'll be ready for Dragon Con then.

Change of plans!

So, from here on out, all my regular real life filter such and such will be public. All my obsessive should-not-see-the-light-of-day stuff will continue to be f-locked and filtered.

Why am I doing this? I am almost at 700 friends, and I want to be able to not worry about how many people I'm allowed to friend. So now I will still friend people I've met, but probably not too many random people. I might also clear off some people I don't actually know from my list. No offense, I just don't know you or really have anything in common.

I'll still post art and pictures a lot, but now you have to suffer through my real life. I'll try to keep it entertaining.
