| 9/1/08 12:57 am - When it rains...
It pours.
No, it's not raining outside. I just haven't updated in so long I feel like I'm drowning in my thoughts and I have no idea where to start. I guess I'll do a random blog like I did a while back.
Sage's birthday was today. My baby boy is 3 years old now...
Rei is now two months old. How fast they grow...
Eric was put on advance party to come home late September, but then he was taken off by a lower rank, and is now coming home early October (I think). Shame on the corps.
I had to do the denim dance, but I was able to pull on a pair of my size 1 jeans. Just one of them. The other 3 won't come up yet. -_-;
I need to exercise, but when the hell am I going to find the time? In the middle of the night when I should be sleeping? Funk that...
I am planning 2-3 mini "makeovers" to take place in the next two weeks. Pictures will follow, naturally.
A few months ago I paid $75 for a European Star Locket (Sailor Moon RP toy). A few weeks ago I sold it on eBay for $315 (plus shipping) so that I could buy an original Japanese one from someone on LJ for $300. Score.
I still have a Korean Star Locket that I got for free in a trade. When I fix it up, I will sell it. Score again.
Saturday morning after Rei woke up at 7am to be fed, I stayed up after she went back to sleep at 8am. From 8am to 11am I cleaned the entire downstairs so that my house would be presentable when my friends came over for lunch. Sage was up at 10. Rei was back up at 12 after we showered. My friends came over around 1:30 with lunch from CoCo's Curry House. Around 5 we went to Yoshi Hachi's Sushi Bar for dinner. I only ate a little more than half of what I ordered because I was still full from lunch. I've gotten used to only eating once a day. At dinner I suddenly started crying because I thought of Eric and how much I miss him. I miss him a lot. I never let strangers see me cry. Overall, Saturday was the most productive day I've had since my sister left 3 weeks ago. Sad.
Friday I spent over 30,000 yen (about $300) at Toys R Us. Most of it was stuff that people sent me money for to buy for them, with a little extra for my time. With that extra I bought my last Shugo Chara plush (now I have all 3), the Shugo Chara DS game, 3 packs of Shugo Chara Amulet Flow cards, a cardfile for said cards, Lightning McQueen sneakers for Sage, and a babydoll & stroller for Sage. Okay, so it was more than a little extra. What can I say? People fork out cash for stuff they can't get on their own. Heh. Oh, and I also got a Shugo Chara bracelet & diary from Jusco. The "diary" is more like a guidebook on how to play the Amulet Flow cards, and in the back there's a checklist for the first few collections of cards.
Now I will take a quick break to go pee. Cause you really wanted to know.
Now then, where was I? Oh, I'm not sure, since everything is random and completely out of order. Let's go back to 3 weeks ago, just before my sister left.
I bought a van from someone who was getting ready to leave the island. Hard to picture me driving a van, no? I still have to sell my car, but I've got three options; Horse's new Corporal is down for buying it; Rene, my KV, is down for buying it for her husband for when he gets back (he's deployed with Eric); if all else fails I'll sell it back to the place I bought it. I've got about a week to get rid of it before the 30-day waiver exprires. We're only allowed to have 2 registered vehicles. We have 3. I love my van. It has so much room. I can actually go grocery shopping (when I actually go) and leave the Duo Glider (which I also lover) in the back. When we go back to the States I'm getting an SUV. The van is ok here cause my options are limited, but there ain't no way in hell am I buying another van in my lifetime.
We're trying to fly Space-A to VA for Christmas. If we can pull it off, my mom will drive up to pick us up the weekend after, and we'll spend New Years in FL. Afterwards we'll fly Space-A back to Okinawa. If we can't do it the whole way, we'll just get to Seattle International and hop on actual reserved flights, which would only cost us about $2.4k instead of $5k. Either way, we're determined to go. Oh, and for any of you military folks on my f-list, you can hop Space-A and come here for a mere $28. Go ahead. Break the bank.
I'm out of Dr. Pepper. I'm going to grab an A&W root beer now.
I'm addicted to Yahoo Japan Auctions. Unfortunately, I have to pay someone to pay the people I win stuff from. It's annoying, but if I'm picky about what I win (and for how much) it's worth it in the end. Right now I'm out of money to bid with. Who wants to send me some?
I've develed into the world of custom ponies. As in, My Little Ponies. I have 7 from other customisers, and I have customised 3 myself (and one is a WIP), but they were all for other people. I made a pretty purple one for my mom for Mother's Day. I made an Ariel one for the Disney Swap at The Arena (pony forum). I made a pony persona* called FloralHippo for the Persona Swap 2.0 at The Arena. Right now I am working on an unmentionable custom for the Sailor Moon Swap at the Trading Post (another pony forum). She's unmentionable because she isn't finished. After I finish this blog I will create a new photo album to display my customs. Check it. That being said, if you find any ponies, new or old, at either the flea market, thrift store, or on clearance at Walmart, get them. Send them to me, and I will send back the money you paid. I'm also collecting the newer ponies, so they're a great and affordable gift if you can't think of anything else. (Hint hint) *Pony Persona - "If I were a pony, this is how I would look."
I want to try getting a job at the exchange after Eric comes home. I want to be able to shop comfortably. Selling online does okay, but it just can't beat a steady paycheck. I have to pay off my new laptop.
eBay is a scary place. Sellers are very vulnerable under their new policies. As of May 2008, sellers are unable to leave neutral or negative feedback for buyers. This opens up the flood gate for rouge buyers who want to get stuff for free, or who just want to ruin a seller because they "made them mad". Pfft. I hate eBay. YJA forever! Too bad I'd have to pay someone to help me sell on there. Lame.
I haven't folded laundry in 3 weeks. I wash it, and leave it in the hamper. I'm so unmotivated.
I need a vacation.
I think I'm finished now. Ja ne.
