Available characters: You will see some of these characters making comment/posts for plot purposes, portrayed by fill-in players. However, these are not meant to be permanent players; the characters are indeed up for recasting. You can easily locate them all through storger's lists of character posts. Try to get a feel for their writing style and interactions with other characters. We understand it's unreasonable to expect you to know every detail about the character you're applying for after three years of development, but we'd like you to get a SEXY FEEL for that character before you do. Also, if you have any questions about the character's history that you couldn't find answers to (some stuff is embedded pretty deeply in obscure threads), please ask us when you e-mail your application. Some of the characters have less established characterization to worry about, so there's more freedom to diverge from the past. To apply, email storge (at) gmail.com with the following: Your name, age, AIM/Yahoo! name if applicable, and your lj name. (If your lj is locked, add storge_mods so we can SEE it!) Have you been watching STORGE SPACE? If so, since when? How did you hear about us? What is your past RPG experience, or would this be your first? (Playing, watching, modding - tell us what your experiences are. You can even learn a lot from a crappy RPG. Tell us what you learnt!) Are you currently in any RPGs? List character(s) & game URLs so we can get a sense of you. List (and link) any fanfiction you'd like to share with us that reflects your sense of humor. How much time can you allow for game participation each day/week? If you get accepted to STORGE SPACE, are you willing to try to post at least five comments or one journal entry every two weeks? If this sounds like too much for you, then STORGE SPACE is not the game for you. Thinking about the character you're applying for-- how do you see that character? Finally, write out a few sample entries for the character you'd like to apply for. These can be brief; we're looking for personality and humor. Obviously they should be Storge-ish so we get a feel for what your take is. We can provide prompts for inspiration if you're struggling to type into the Veil void of an interaction-free application letter. Put "[character name(s)] application" in the subject line of your email. If your application passes, we may ask you to practice commenting with us in thedressingroom so you-and-we can experience interacting in character before throwing you into the game itself. However, don't feel discouraged if your application doesn't make it past us or needs adjustment! It could just be that your vision of the character is not what we're looking for or that we managed to fill the slot but failed to update the list. You can always feel free to apply again, even as a different character, to get it "right." And if it takes a long time to get a response, please be aware that we sometimes take awhile to respond and discuss the application amongst ourselves. It doesn't necessarily mean anything!
