ray bradbury is going to be at comic-con! i really hope we can go.

there's a tokidoki booth, so the odds of simone doing a signing are pretty good as well. plus, i expect there to be some cool star wars stuff as the clone wars is coming out in mid-august.

So The Golden Compass is coming out on DVD today. Everyone should go and buy it immediately.

David and I bought it on Blu-ray. It's actually our first ever Blu-ray DVD, so that's pretty exciting. There are tons of extra features that we haven't even had a chance to watch yet.

so getting ready to move was STRESSFUL (to say the least!), but moving itself went pretty smoothly. the computer desk got fucked, but that just means we can buy a new cute one! i've seen a couple online that are very cool, but i'll see what david has to say about them. our new apartment is so fabulous! we have a pretty decent view of the carquinez strait and the community is very quiet at night. we haven't gotten do to too much decorating yet, but once everything's unpacked we are going to make this apartment SUPER CUTE! ^-^

so... i need to get a job so i can get my allowance back. i need new tokidoki stuff.

since we are on the subject of tokidoki, if david and i go to comicon this year (which i really want to!!) i think i might get one of the skate decks for him to sign for me. that would be amazing! i don't think i'd even let simone write on one of my toki bags. ^-^ i'd also find a really cool book to find ray bradbury to sign if he's there. david can go stand in line to meet star wars people and i will meet two of my idols.

so i think i'm getting sick with some chest-cold thing. oh boy! i get this when the seasons change, but i'm glad that the weather is nice right now.

work's okay, home's okay. we're really planning on moving out of vacaville soon, probably to concord. by christmas we'll be pretty much ready to move.

anyway, here's the furniture i've picked out for our apartment. our sofa is pretty much dead, so i've decided we'll buy some cute stuff for the living room and bedroom. we saw all of this when we went to ikea in emeryville last week. the sofa's really comfy and the chair is AMAZING. i am so in love with this chair, it's outrageous! and the coffee table is just hecka cool because it's got storage.

david and i will be in disneyland in like a week and a half. i'm so darn excited!!! we're gonna have so much fun! i'm still really sad we won't get to go on the haunted mansion, but we'll see FANTASMIC! on saturday (the first night we're there) and the fireworks on sunday (the second night we're there.) i don't think california adventure will be open late enough for the electrical parade. :( i've only ever seen it once! boo.


i guess that's it. i've mostly just been working and sleeping the past few days. work's going okay, i think i have the hang of the job now. it's not really bad at all, it's just hard on my feet and back for some reason. i guess it's just because the store is a LOT bigger? hm. and i wish it wasn't so hot when i ride my bike to work. oh well, at least it's not raining. that would be a disaster.

david and i watched sicko tonight (a pirated version at that!) and ... wow. i think that might be the most depressing movie i have ever watched. it's so bleak, like we have this situation that is 100% fixable but we refuse to do it so that some big corporations can get more money in their pockets. i don't care if you're a republican or a democrat, or whether or not you like michael moore. the point is, everyone gets sick so this is a problem that needs some major attention. if the system can work around the world (even in fucking cuba) then why can't it work here? it's all about politics and money, which is FUCKING DISGUSTING. my heath, my family's health, even stranger's health shouldn't be made less important than political and financial gain. it's ridiculous, and i wish someone in washington had the balls to fix it.

also, this thing with michael vick, the football player. i really hope that son of a bitch gets fined, fired, and thrown in jail. i really don't care if he's one of the best players in football, he doesn't deserve the millions of dollars that a professional nfl career would give him. no one should be able to hurt animals like that and then recieve multimillion dollar checks from nike, the atlanta falcons and whatever other endorsements he'd recieve.


i guess that's it. i have to get up at 7:45 (yep, in 3 hours and 45 minutes) to go to the dentist to get three cavities filled. oh boy!

so as you can see... i like weird video games, rpgs and puzzle games. oh and poker.

so i called and quit the crappy stinky job. i'd normally have given notice, but i'm going on vacation in five days so i don't really care.

since i got up, i've applied for six jobs on the internet, and i have about 8 more places to look at later. i needed a break from that!

david wasn't too pissed that i didn't want to go back. he was more worried about the fact that i wasn't even going to call and tell them. i did, and they were pissed, but WTF ever, i've been a good employee and they've just been crappy fuckers. i'm always early and i take their crap, so whatever. i'm over it, i'm finished with it. i'm looking forward to a fabulous new job with better money and better co-workers when i come back.

i just feel bad that i wasted two weeks of my time on this. i could've been looking for something better. bah.

oh well. i feel better now. hopefully david will be okay with it when he gets home. it's just five days, and i can still get the unemployment checks.

so yeah.

so i had one interview today and i did pretty well, and i think i'd like the job a lot too. this place is probably my first choice just coz it would be easiest.

so i have another interview at a different place on thursday and then another one on monday. joy! i hate interviewing. maybe the place i was at today will call me and tell me that they'd love for me to work there so i don't have to go to either of the others.



mmm... i'm making chicken for dinner. we eat chicken nearly every goddamn day. oh well, it's yummy chicken so it doesn't matter. david doesn't care, he loves chicken.


yeah. tomorrow's the fourth of july, which is like, a holiday. david's working all day, so i'm staying here and cleaning all day. of course no one in his family invited us over or anything. go figure.

uhh so i have two job interviews. great. well, one won't be bad, but i don't think i'll be able to take the job or they won't even offer it to me coz i won't be able to start for a month. i guess we'll have to see.




i slept too late and i didn't clean anything. david might be mad. oh well, he's a butthead anyway.


i gotta go make dinner soon. traffic's probably bad so he still won't be home for a bit. my poor baby.

today was a pretty boring day, and tomorrow will be even more boring.


i had to put up four loads of laundry. that was not fun!


at least i got to watch the new episode of degrassi. yes, i am a nerd and no, i do not care. :P


oh, i'm finishing the book i'm reading tonight. then i get to move on to another one. i've been reading like a FIEND lately.


so... hm. nothing is really going on. david and i are going to the a's game on friday. he's working 5 am to 5 pm monday thru thursday this week. we'll see transformers sometime, but we might wait til monday so it won't be so packed. he has a week off starting friday. i wish i had a job like that!

being jobless kinda owns, but at the same time it's lame as hell.

for example, i don't have to do anything all day long except take a shower and clean *something* around the apartment. the other 22 hours of the day i can do as i please. this poses quite a dilema, however, because there isn't much to do. but whatever, i manage. and then there's money. david and i aren't broke, but since i'm not really bringing any in i can't really buy very much crap for myself.

so eh. i am looking for a job, but i'm trying to space the applications out for the unemployment since you have to apply for jobs every week.


we went to fairfield today and wandered around the mall. i don't know when macy's is going to get tokidoki famiglia, but i'm very excited to see it. i got some conditioner at bath and body works and david got a video game at best buy. as i was walking back out through macy's, the girl at the benefit counter stopped me and started talking to me about eyebrows. then, as her job entails, she started trying to sell me stuff and i politely declined because i don't have a job. she said their counter is hiring part time so i filled out this little card thing, so we'll see if that goes anywhere. i won't hold my breath on it. the best quote from that convo was when she said "i usually stop people so i can fix their brows, but yours are great." hah!

so then we ate at chipolte, which was yummy. ^-^

after we got our bellies full, we went over to trader joe's, which was the point of our whole trek to fairfield in the first place. i went to sally first to get some of their cute little cheap eyeshadows (cinnamon, teal, purple passion and apple green if anyone's into that sort of thing.) the lady who rang me out (she was in her 40's or 50's probably) was IN LOVE with my foresta buon viaggio. i told her to go to macy's and look at the ones they had.


so that was pretty much our day. bah.

we did see ratatouille last night, it was very cute. david said he thought it might be better than finding nemo, but i think he might be on drugs.


and now he's annoying the shit out of me. what a great husband.
