The Ramblings of an Incoherent Administrator

For those of you who don't know, I have decided to run for the LJ Advisory Board. And it turns out that I have a lot of support, with (at last count) over 350 posts of support of my nomination I am going to be on the final ballot.

I am going to be running on a platform of openness, hence the OSS logo being incorporated into my campaign image (courtesy of DavensJournal).

if you are using relays.ordb.org as a RBL, you should stop immediatly. They are now blacklisting all IP addresses.

The company I work for is looking for someone who is a really good PHP/Web application developer. I know that I have at least one person on my f-list here who can fit that mold. Let me know or let me know of anyone you know.

Is there anyone on my f-list here that has recent experience in HP-UX who would like to look for a job in Coral Springs .. I spoke with the recruiter and its a senior admin position, and the pay is very good.

I have 4 1 day/2park ticket coupons for $40 a piece.  Thats a coupon for admission into 2 universal parks for $40.  There are 4 left.   The only thing is because I got them in the mail as a promotion from Universal, you have to have me actually get the tickets for you.  We are going to be there tomorrow, July 28th, with our 5 year old daughter.  Anyone interested in coming along? Should be a blast.  We are also doing Disney on sunday, but i have no coupons for that.

I bought a house earlier tonight. It hasn't sunk in yet. It's done, finally my goal is complete .. I don't know what's next.

I am kinda at a loss on this one. I do not condone pedophilia of any sort, but the fanfic that was getting posted was not being done so in a way that was going to be harmful to anyone. I don't know, I'll see where this goes. But for now my site is doing really really well.

This petition is to urge congress to move forward with a bill to stop gasoline price gouging. This time last year oil was $7 a barrel more expensive than it is now, yet gasonline was $.50 a gallon cheaper than it is now. Yet the oil companies are posting record profits. Help send a message louder than any that the oil lobbyists can send. Lets get this petition to over 250,000 signatures.

Being that my b-day is tomorrow night, I figured some may want to know where I will be hanging out. I am going to be at Brogue's in downtown Lake Worth at about 7 or 8, from there I don't really know. We may stay in LW or migrate to O'Sheas or Respectables later in the night, just depends on how everyone feels.

This is really cool. Its a linux distro that is designed to work with linksys wireless routers. I have an old router I don't use at anymore at home, so I am gonna install this on it at work and have some fun.
