Hair loss sucks so much.

It's not like I have a lot of hair on my head to start with and now I keep shedding it like a collie sheds its winter fur in spring.

I should just gather my hairs, spin them to golden-colored (oh well, ONE nice property!) thread which I could sell to weirdos on ebay and from the money that gets me I can buy a wig. X_X

I've started playing Lost In Blue 3 on my DS yesterday - imagine it like LOST with Anime graphics, it's basically a survival simulation and so far curiosity and addictivness have kept me playing it.

What's funny in a way is that the female main character Claire looks sorta like gender-bender Aurelio with her hair and colors (and the fact she's a singer. Her singing voice is a shame though Dx

Wait a minute, Claire? I've never really watched LOST myself but wasn't there a Claire (blond, even?) too? Maybe the game is more of a LOST-clone than I thought at first, haha.

What also just made me laugh was finding out the original names of some characters. One (the male main) is actually not Sam but Sho, and another one (a black guy I think) is not James but DAIKI. WHAT THE. Why do black people get japanese names anyways?

Oh well. let's see how long this little game will keep me interested - at least as long as Harvest Moon ist still confusing me.

Lately I keep having odd dreams.

Tonight I was dreaming a Manga/Comic of some sort. I was actually seeing nothing in motion, just black-and-white drawn panels and pages.
It wasn't really like a continuous story unfolding in front of my eyes, just some pictures mostly without many speech bubbles (if they were there, they were empty) or actual meaning that was clear to me. In my dream I sort of knew that this was the Manga S. (which I won't mention here, haha), although the drawing style looked nothing like it and also the setting with it's cityscapes, waterscapes and modernness absolutely did not fit.

I also knew that I was reading some sort of revised version of it, but nothing seemed to have changed essentially - in addition to the 3 to 5 main characters all visible on most panels there was just one character always added in - with everything else unchanged. And this character was one of mine, Daiki. Much lulz ensued when I woke up and could actually laugh about it, I can tell you.
The funny thing about all of this was the way he WAS added in - as I said it was totally unobtrusive. He was drawn into the pictures, and NOTHING else changed. There were no differing actions and reactions of the other characters resulting from his presence. He almost never said anything (which would have required adding speech bubbles too), and when later he did - the other characters SEEMED to respond to him, but really didn't. They were just talking to each other or themselves in the original volume, adding Daiki and his text in the revision just made it seem like they reacted to him and to the unknowing reader it wouldn't have made much difference if he had NOT been there.
To me, who had apparently read both the old and revised version it was like... oh shit, IT'S CRAZY HOW THIS WORKS.

Odd dream, really. Not ghastly and dismaying like my usual dreams (which probably would be great as horror movies but interestingly do not scare me at all) , not cool or happy either.
Just... interesting.

- MP3 alarm clock (if the above doesn't include that)
- a winter coat. I desperately need one, actually

- Gaiman's and Pratchett's Good Omens

- pretty (yellow?) pots for my banana plants
- bamboo grass that my cats WON'T eat
- Stickers *_*

Tonight/Today I dreamed.

A FAIRYTALE.

It was pure epic awesome, too bad most of it's slipping my memory as I try to grip it now.

It was something about two people roaming a city at night and trying to find someone/something or being chased...
then every day one of them'd go into the hole of a dragon (where three other girls were, but those soon just ...disappeared, my dream probably thought them not to be important.), first by accident, than later because he/she was forced by the dragon.
The dragon obviously terrorized the city, but the one who went into the cave sort of talked to the dragon and tricked it that way. There was something about a feast and music which was held regularly, and the person who always had to go to the dragons' cave was to organize one of those for the dragon - in the dragons cave if I remember right. Anyways, the person wanted to get his/her other friend, who apparently was a musician to the Dragon's lair for... I don't know. tricking the dragon further or something because the plan wasn't as bad as it was, only that it would backfire on the city and destroy it too, not only the dragon.

OR SOMETHING. You know how dreams are.

So I've been wanting to make a loooooooong fan-related entry to okami, but it was way too much to write, so...
something else came inbetween now.

Does anyone know this guy?
Or rather, does anyone know the Mystical Ninja Gomeon games?
I don't know how I came to remember this game, but in my N64-times I would borrow the first N64 game of this series from a classmate and play it FOR A LONG TIME.

Apaort from the fact that it's a rather old 3D-adventure and graphically as well as gameplay-wise not the best one, I love it. It's just...crazy.
Pop the cartridge in your N64 and get a japanese sung pop Opening sung by the same guy who does the DBZ-Openings, then see the Intro where a flying peach starship transforms (O)edo Castle into a STAGE via SHOOPBEAM. The "evil" guys are a guy and a lady with wings, opera-singing voices and "oooohohohoho" or "Haaahahaha" laughs, your monsters here look like little cupcakes with pink dresses, you kill them by way of hitting them with a PIPE, and one of your first main characters walks and sounds completely gay. Your main character Gomeon turns into a Super Saiyan at some point if I remember right, then you have a ninja-robot named SASUKE (HAH. HAH. He's awesome though.), the townsfolk babble crazy shit all the time, actually there's not a single point in this game where you think you could take it seriously. And wait for the Mecha battles. You can call your very own Mecha (that looks like yourself, or rather Gomeon himself) by using a conch shell as a horn, then get to watch a minute-long cutscene with ANOTHER boisterously sung japanese rock song, and then you ROLLERSKATE your robot through the country to gather energy for the upcoming fight against... a Kabuki-Robot for example. Which you can attack with NOSE Missiles, if you wish to do so.

As I said. It's crazy. If you have a N64, get it as long as you can.

After suffering some weird horrible sickness early in the morning on thursday I spent the weekend with Larissa.
As always, it was really AWESOME, like a short holiday xD

Unfortunately the weather was sorta cool and wet, instead of going to a nearby lake as we planned we stayed at home most of the time.
We only took a walk one evening where Larissa caught a tick and I - while crawling up a hill - smashed my left hand into stinging nettles and my right one into TWO snails, consecutively. Splendid.
Other than that we either drew a lot or played Okami on my Wii.
Playing with Larissa is awesome, she's one of the people who likes to watch you play and gives you hints, gives off some snide remarks and hints you to things you didn't see or think of (or things you DID see and think of.). Like a real sidekick, lol. Ammy has Issun, I have Larissa. XD
And I finished the game. O MY GOD. Took me 60 hours! Okami blabbering/gushing entry will follow later on. Now for sidequests!

Art-wise I was pretty productive too, I drew/finished 6 KAKAO-Cards over the weekend; most of which were already sketched or half-done... but done is done, right?
I only really DREW one new one and found out I'm not that good at papercrafts. X_X
Still, I'm all fired up for MOAR art now, actually the weekend has left me pretty motivated overall. I hope this will last for a while.

And now the time-of-the-day test, since I liked it so much and there were so many different suitable options to choose, I took it several times and here are my two results:

"You are the moment when the last bell rings and school lets out for the day. You are resistant to schedules and obligations, so you love feeling like you're in control of your life again. You are the very moment when the second hand hits the 12, and the halls fill with noise and motion. Even if your after-school time is packed with activities, lessons, or a job, somehow, you just feel freer in the late afternoon than you do earlier in the day. Maybe it's all that blue sky and afternoon sunshine? Nah -- even on rainy days, 3:15 is always a beautiful time."

rings very true

"You are breakfasty, like a pile of pancakes on a Sunday morning that have just the right amount of syrup, so every bite is sweet perfection and not a soppy mess. You are a glass of orange juice that's cool, refreshing, and not overly pulpy. You are the time of day that's just right for turning the pages of a newspaper, flipping through channels, or clicking around online to get a sense of how the world changed during the night. You don't want to stumble sleepily through life, so you make a real effort to wake your brain up and get it thinking. You feel inspired to accomplish things (whether it's checking something off your to-do list or changing the world), but there's plenty of time for making things happen later in the day. First, pancakes."

apart from the fact that I'm rarely even awake around that time and while I LOVE breakfasting, I rarely actually do it, the rest is pretty accurate. Motivated, but first let's do something lazy, lol.

Wow.

For a few weeks now I have kept thinking about books I want to read or re-read, and one of them was Otfried Preußler's Krabat.

All you Germans reading this probably know about it anyways as it's a German classic, but for the rest of you who don't have a clue:
I just found out that in english it goes by the names  "The Satanic Mill" and "The Curse of the Darkling  Mill".
Anyways, it's a story based on some old wendish myths. In the book, a beggar boy living in a 18th-century setting is being lured into a mysterious mill where he becomes involved with the BLACK MAGIC happening there. It's better than my description probably makes you think it is though.
It has tons of magic, ravens, creepy stuff, moors and death.

Anyways, now that I re-read a few facts about the book as I can't find my own copy anymore, I found out that there's a movie about it, coming to cinemas this fall.

Whoa. Crazy timing I say. I might have to go watch it.

Even though the Trailer seems a lot more gothic and bombastic than actually dark and supernaturally creepy like I remember it. WELL WELL. We'll see.

Srsly, that's almost the same as with Lord of the Rings. All of my Life I was a fantasy nut but never had read LotR, then I found a friend who would give me all the books to read and just a few weeks later there's trailers for the PJ movies EVERYWHERE. WHAT THE, what the.
