I made a vid and once again, you gotta give me some credit---it's different and unusual.

I'm going to give it a go, even though I'm not sure about it.

It's no secret, Spuffy have a "Scarlett/Rhett" kind of flavor to me. Now, I KNOW I'm not the only one. (See Icon by kindoftrouble) We've had these discussions on message boards, etc. Also, Spike brings it up (kinda sorta) in TABULA RASA. I thought I'd play around, spice it up with some Rhett/Scarlett, use GWTW music and see what I came up with.

  I loved the vid. Your vid.'s are the ones that William sits still to watch and that is saying something there for he is only still when he is asleep are sick.

    You LOVED IT? (Hugs Sarahlynn) obviously you are a GWTW fan. William isn't but I'm glad he sits still when he watches them.

  My favorite couple comparison :-) And it's definitely an unusual video, but if you love both (ahem- like me) then it's great to watch :-) Wonderful job and matching up the clips!

    I love Scarlett, I must admit. I think that's probably why I'm more tolerant of Buffy's behavior than many people who love Spike.

    I need more clips but Turner isn't very nice about these things. (Hides from him) There's surprisingly little on the net, including pictures, which is kinda freaky.

  Hahahaahahahahha I loved this! Who other then Spike and Buffy could sooooooooo compare to this Epic kinda couple and romance! I get really giggled over this vid. for its so close to Gone With The Wind :D

  Okay, this vid? First off, big points for major creative originality, chica. That's one area you totally excel in as we all know. Second off, it seriously ROCKS.
  
  *blink* Yeah, maybe I've been channeling James a little too much lately, but the vid really is big time awesome :) I really love it. The Scarlett/Rhett - Buffy/Spike parallels are just wicked. Excellent job. I was SO obsessed with GWTW when I was younger; drove my family nuts with the repeated viewings. *eyeroll* I even vowed to someday own one of those outrageously huge gorgeous dresses... but yeah. You said this is a rough copy? Damn. Pretty good rough copy.

    YAY, Nibblet! Okay, I'm getting quite a bit more YAYS, then NAYS, now, my confidence is boosting. Yeah, I thought those of us with the GWTW obsession (and many are Spuffy) might relate!!

  You made my night with that :) I wish my GwtW dvd wasn't in the pile I have loaned out lol. Otherwise I'd probably be putting it in right about now. And then I'd put in OMWF lol.
  
  I'm gonna have to show my Mom this video, she's gonna roll her eyes like never before! (at me, not you heee) I was visiting Sunday and while I was there I started on my Buffy crossword that someone had put up on SOS. She took it away from me and said I could do that while I was at home. I drive her crazy with my obsessions lol. Okay, I'm babbling again, oops
  
  Anyways.... That video was so much fun, I was smiling so big the whole time :) I hope Spuffy can be as classic as Scarlett and Rhett one day :)

    Oh, I think they already are classic. That's why I felt I could actually compare them. ;) Certainly for me, they are about the only ones who hit me like Scarlett/Rhett. Living close to Atlanta, we get lots of the GTWT vibes anyway, but I have loved that book since the third grade.

  Spikey, I watched your Gone With The Wind video and I'm all sniffly. I couldn't imagine that music changes the perception of visuals so much. With Max Steiner music Spuffy is the ultimate romance - incredible, sweeping, bigger-than-life. Your parallels with Rhett and Scarlett are funny and insightful. Great vid.
  
  I see many people here found it funny. It *is* funny, of course, but, at the same time, poignant and heartwrenching.

  Ohhhhhh found this through a rec at darker_spike. LOVE IT!! I get it, and it made me cry. Dam I miss that show and my weekly JM fix. Gotta go now and watch it 10 more time.
