I'm having a few issues.

My Windows XP sp2 laptop is running very slow indeed, and firefox regularly falls over really spectacularly, freezing everything so that I have to resort to just turning the power off. Itunes won't open at all, under any circumstances. It's starting to drive me mad!

What would you do to investigate the source of the problem?
If part of this involves a virus scanner, which would you use?

FFS! Call your mum and tell her how great you are! Or re-write it to be more in keeping with *a secret* e.g. - 'My Professor told me he can't wait to see where I am in ten years time. Now I can't wait to spend the next ten years failing horribly and disappointing him in every way because I'm basically a total fuck up!'
