As most of you - I'm sure - are aware, New Orleans has been
hit by the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Since it touched
down around Biloxi, Mississipi it wasn't a direct head-on
to New Orleans, but Katrina still did an incredible amount
of damage through massive flooding and high winds. If you
haven't been keeping up, and you wish get information, there

of this disaster, are these people really going to want to *wait*
for a fundraiser, with the proceeds to be distrubed after the
fundraiser is complete? I don't believe so.
Most people's pets were left behind and many will not survive.
Noah's Wish is an organization devoted to pet rescue efforts
after disasters strike. Noah's Wish also handles exotic pets
that most shelters can't or won't handle normally.

If you can send them, organizations also need food, water, clothing and toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.) to distribute to people made homeless by Katrina. Contact the organization for details on how to get these (or other supplies they may need) types of supplies to them.
